In the recent years, the technologies of computing devices and the Internet have made many great progresses. With the help of these developments, the Internet age has arrived and the amount of information has an explosive growth as well so that it is necessary for people to get the latest information or news to know more about the world and catch up the trend of the society by using different digital devices to look through a large variety of information or news. Due to this, an observation on users’ behaviours to get access to different news is important to design new system and the detail about self-observation is shown as below. During the observation, I am participant for the self-interview. Currently, I am one of the international students who are studying in the University of Waikato in New Zealand. In addition, I am a male student that comes from China, whose age is about 21 years old. As an international student who studies aboard, I would through listening to radios and reading local newspapers in New Zealand in order to know what happened in the city that I am living and studying in. To avoid interrupting other people’s daily lives or studies, I would switch different channels to seek and get information or new. In general, I would listen to Hamilton’s local radio while I am driving my car and I would read through newspapers if I am in some quite areas, such as library and labs, because the library in the University of Waikato provides many different paper-based
While I appreciated that one of my peers provided feedback on my work, I feel that the feedback that was provided did not fulfill the assignment. My peer did not provide detailed feedback on my paper that could be adequately incorporated in my review and revisions. Most of the information that was provided as feedback were simply statements that reiterated what the prompt question was. Please see the below feedback provided to me by my peer.
Of all the forms of literature, the most interesting might be the fairytales, or the science fiction thriller about robots. However, there lacks the sense of truth, in a way blocking the reader from true connection with the story. Memoir is real, memoir is true, and memoir can range from any end of the ocean in structure and theme.
The purpose of this assignment is to self-reflect on what has been learnt in the topic this semester and how it is going to influence as a health professional in our chosen field. This assessment is made to encourage us to be able to identify the values and beliefs we have as individuals and how these impact on our ability to interact without others in a diverse society. This self-reflection will include the results from an Implicit Association Test to help gain a greater awareness of my own unconscious thoughts as well as evidence from reliable sources to help back up statements and give evidence to support this assessment.
I have learned a great many things from playing soccer. It has changed my entire outlook on and attitude toward life. Before my freshman year at Cool high school, I was shy, had low self-esteem and turned away from seemingly impossible challenges. Soccer has altered all of these qualities. On the first day of freshman practice, the team warmed up with a game of soccer. The players were split up and the game began. However, during the game, I noticed that I didn't' t run as hard as I could, nor did I try to evade my defender and get open. The fact of the matter is that I really did not want to receive the ball. I didn't' t want to be the one at fault if the play didn't' t succeed. I did not want the responsibility of helping the team

In society today, many people judge others by their actions, appearance, and words without understanding the true reasons behind it. Somebody may act a certain way when in reality the person is doing it for a specific reason. In my life, my friends, family, teammates, and classmates judge me based on my actions. My friends and teammates, specifically, view me as determined, probably because my uncle has inspired me to try my hardest even if there are obstacles standing in my way. In soccer, for example, I push myself during practice while my teammates are off task. One practice, specifically, we were doing 5v2’s and passing patterns to develop our technical skills. Most of the team were fooling around while I stayed focused and used the practice
Self assessment is a process in which you examine yourself in attempt to discover and learn more about yourself. Your likes, dislikes, behaviors, attitudes and habits can be found during this process. You can use the discoveries to your advantage by accepting or changing strengths and weaknesses. I plan on using this course to enhance my personal skills to become a better student and find success in earning my Bachelor of Arts degree at Ashford University in Social Science. Self Assessment is the first step in my successful future.
Before taking this course my writing styles and habits were very different. I was the typical procrastinator because I would wait until the night before a paper was due to start it. This did not allow me enough time to properly proofread everything, which resulted in getting points deducted for simple grammatical errors that could have been avoided if I would have had the time to proofread. My writing styles have many strengths and weaknesses and I have been able to improve my writing because of them. I have learned from my strengths and weaknesses how to become a better writer.
School, to me and among many peers of my age, is not a distant term. I have spent one-third of my life time sitting in classrooms, every week since I was seven years old. After spending this much time in school, many things and experiences that happened there have left their mark in my memory. Some are small incidences while some have had a great impact on me. However, regardless the degree of significance, things that happened all contributed to shape the person that I am now.
The dictionary describes introspection as the examination or observation of one's own mental and emotional processes. Kevin Woods stated, “Introspection are all about getting to know yourself at the core, uncovering your values and then deciding for yourself what’s the best action to take.” Your emotions and feelings play a major role in why we do things. If we listen to our feelings then we can find more things about us that we didn’t know. This could benefit us and help us appreciate more things and live but also may make us overthink some times. Karl Perera mentioned, “Introspection is good in small doses. If you are feeling very tired or have no energy and can’t find a solution as things keep rolling through your mind over and over then it is time to stop.” Overall, everyone connects with things differently; it is interesting to notice how you feel in certain situations.
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right-brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and
If I would have spoken, Socrates might have been given more amnesty and might still be in Athens.
One's dream and aspirations to supersede in life must be stronger and greater than limitations set forth by others. The experience that were bestowed to me during my short life has elevated me to the woman I am today. Please walk with me as I give you the opportunity to see the world from my eyes:
The social constructionist perspective holds the view that the self is continuing "shaped and reshaped through interactions with others and involvement in social and cultural activities" (Wetherell & Maybin, 1996, p 220). Social constructionist is concerned with explicating the processes by which people come to describe, explain, or otherwise account for the world (including themselves) in which they live (Gergen, 1971). Thus, the social constructionist approach implies that the self is shaped by social interaction within historical, cultural and social contexts. Social constructionist's apply an analysis of societal level which explain the self through social relations. Conversely, the
The Self Every situation that an individual is exposed to throughout life, helps mold our “self.” As humans we have the ability to see ourselves from the outside, and all through life we try to see what others see and our “self” revolves around the generalized other. We observe how others perceive us and we make conclusions depending on our observations. How we act around others depends on the image we feel they have towards us.
