In sequence pattern I got a score of 27 which means I use that pattern first. In precision pattern I got a score of 29 which means I also use that pattern first. My score for the technical reasoning pattern was 8 which means I usually avoid it. In confluence pattern I got a score of 22 which means I use it as needed. With all my scores combined it makes me a dynamic learner. An example of when I used the Sequence Pattern was when I was in high school and I was in a CNA class doing job shadowing for the first time. I asked what exactly I was expected to do; what my job duties were as a "shadowing student". I was nervous, of course, so I asked my teacher, whom was a long-time nurse, what I was supposed to be doing exactly. She explained to me and the other students in detail that we were to help the elderly in and out of bed, to and from the restroom, to get them dressed and to get them to and from the cafeteria for lunch. That sounded simple enough so we all got started helping the residents and some of the CNA's who worked there had a completely different way of doing things, not the exact way as shown by our teacher. I don't like when people do things differently then how I have been shown and then expect me to do it that way as well. I had to just adjust to it and do it …show more content…
I'm not the most crafty or "out of the box thinkers" most of the time but I had to think of a gift that would be special and unique to give my daughter's papa. Something he didn't already have. So my daughter and I scoped the crafts section at the store when I came across a wooden picture frame. Then I had the idea to have my daughter paint it and write "I love my papa" on it and put a picture of my daughter and him in it. When all was said and done it looked so cute. It was unique and a priceless gift I knew he would cherish. Sometimes all you need is a small idea to get you thinking outside the
Sequence means that there is a definite pattern to a child developing e.g. a toddler being able to walk before they can run (sequence of development would be the order in which the development happens).
What did you think of the two contrasting patterns in this chapter? Do you or someone you know fit one or the other of these patterns? Which pattern do you think is more likely to emphasize modesty over pride? Why? Which pattern do you think is likely to emphasize manners over honest self-expression? Why?
Sequence: The assignment is asking you to group, review, develop, classify and show examples for each one verbs that belongs in the sequence learning pattern.
After learning the different learning patterns, I realized that many things can be classified and grouped simply by finding the pattern. In other words, we never really realize there are patterns in our actions and everyday processes until they are titled and classified. The thinking and learning process is an amazing thing and knowing in what order we perform these operations can help us to accomplish goals more realistically, knowing our capabilities and realistic abilities will enable us to both learn more efficiently as well as expand our mind and try to utilize every aspect of the learning process and strengthen our
Sequence is the order in which things take place, looking at developmental milestones it is expected that by a certain age certain things will take place although this is not necessarily the same for every child ie: some children may miss out the crawling stage and go from standing to walking.
Precise is my use first, I feel this learning pattern is the one I use the most, the reason being I always have task to complete and I will not quit until it is accurate and correct, I will go over and over it again until I feel it is what is required of me to do. When a new task is brought to me I need to know all the details, what do you want me to do, how do you want it represented, when do you want it done, why is it required to do it. Once you give me all the details and I have asked a hundred questions- because I will and I feel comfortable
First of all, I would advise Makayla on at timed test to not get stuck on one question. I understand with her Use First Sequence that she is accustomed to doing things in a certain order. She needs to learn to navigate to her other learning patterns, and learn how to respond effectively to the task at hand. Also, she needs to understand that change is the only constant thing in life. Being able to render a new idea is part of the growing process. Her use of Confluence would open up a host of ideas.
Accruing a score of 47 definitely place my learning strategies in multimodal with Whole-sense approach group. This composed of

Makayla was focused on using her sequence learning pattern instead of opening up herself to incorporate all of her patterns. She would have been better off using two or more learning patterns in this scenario. I would suggest she uses confluence in this instants so that she would be able to task risk and not go in order, which she is used to doing. She should take a new approach to testing with her next few test and find a way that helps her succeed better in a timed test.
According to the Gregorc Style Delineator, I identified myself as a Concrete Sequential. For an assignment or project, I’d like to have several examples that would help me do my work. I find it frustrating when there are not enough instructions or resources to guide me, but I try to avoid extensive reading and long discussions because I feel like if those activities are prolonged too much then it is a waste of time. When I work on an important assignment I try to do it in a place where there is no one or the people around me are quiet, I get annoyed when people start talking to me even if it’s obvious that I am trying to do my work.
My two highest scores were sequence and technical which ranked in the use first level. My next highest was confluence which put me in use as needed range. The last category my score was low which put also put me in the use as needed range. My survey resulted in me being a dynamic learner. A dynamic learner uses one or two of the patterns at the use first level, then any remaining patterns are used at the use as needed or avoid level. I am a dynamic learner which means I need clear directions, I like to see most test results, I like to work by myself, and I see situations very differently from others.
Since discovering my learning patterns by administering the Learning Connections Inventory or LCI assessment, I have discovered my
My highest scores were also visual and read/ write! I love to learn by watching. I am an assistant teacher and I have been in this profession for a number of years, however 2015 was my first experience with a smartboard. There were no instructions in the class on how to operate this advanced chalkboard, I had a little anxiety until a sweet first grader walked me through step by step on how to use the remote to turn it on, etc. After that mini lesson I am now almost
