If the husband dies, a part of his property is inherited by his wife / women a combination of the laws of Sharia. If the man did not leave children, permanent women share a quarter of movable and the remaining three quarters are shared by the husband of blood relatives (eg, parents, siblings) . If he had children of one of his wives, his wife / women share one eighth of the property and the rest is for her surviving children and blood relatives. Women share a legacy of some of her late husband's personal property, but they do not share anything from real property such as land, real estate, farm or that value. deferred mahr a woman and outstanding debts of the deceased husband paid before any legacy is applied. “Life is full of unhappiness and most of it caused by women (Harik and Marston 11)”. For women in the Middle East life is faced with great and unequal odds, as their human rights are limited, due to Islamic beliefs and that of patriarchy. From their daily actions at home to their physical appearance, Middle Eastern women are portrayed as quiet, faceless women veiled from head to toe. While this image is just another stereotype, women in the middle do face many obstacles and challenges of creating their own identity as they are frequently denied a voice in their rights. Living in a society dominated by men life is not, but regardless women in the Middle East, predominantly Muslims, continue to fight for
unequally in marriage, in court, and in society. Difficulty through marriage for Muslim women can come from age, divorce, and having to be subservient to their husbands. Not only is there difficulty in marriage, but also in the unequal treatment in the islamic justice systems, such as when “evidence given by a female witness counts for half that given by a man” (Dargie 22). Although the societies of major Islamic countries differ, it is clear that women are not represented equally to men in any of them, for example having to dress and act certain ways so as not to attract any attention from men. However, there are Islamic women who are willing to change how their religion views females by speaking out and encouraging others to do the same.
“The ultimate responsibilities of the judge at a trial was to determine the guilt or innocence of the accused. In the event the accused was found guilty of a tazir offense, the judge determined the appropriate sanction” (Terrill, 2013). The U.S. laws are diverse as in a judge or a seat of jury decides the blame of an indicted individual. The jury tunes in to the indicting party and the resistance party compositions looking into it. Witnesses are drawn from the two sides of the prosecuting attorney and the defending attorney to either help or hurt the trying cases. The US laws depend on the tradition or rights whereby it is agreed that nobody ought to be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment. All the more in this way, every sentenced individual is assumed innocent until proven to be guilty in the US. “Because Islamic procedural law did not provide for a prosecutor, the jurisdictional duties of the shurta were expensive. They were authorized to investigate crimes in Sharia that were punishable by a fixed penalty or hudud and carried out the corporal penalties imposed” (Terrill, 2013).
Muslim women got treated very harshly, so they rebelled, rebellion is when someone don’t follow the rules they were given or go against the rules, the ladies got punished for it , they wasn’t supposed to do the things they did but they did anyway , thinking it will get the freedom , instead it got them killed .

Marriages and Family: Examining the Conflict Between the Sharia Law and Muslim Women Rights in Canada
Iranian women are considered second class citizens and are legally bound to obey their husbands. They are forced to wear the Hijab and follow the Islamic dress code. The Islamic dress code is enforced by the Morality Police, men who are volunteer members of the Baiji militia. If they are found to be violating the dress code they are chastised, stoned, and beaten. Women in Iran also have no choice in who they marry and the legal age of marriage for women is thirteen while a man’s is fifteen. Iranian men may have more than one wife and may divorce her at any time, giving them full custody of their children. Iranian women also may not have a passport and they may not travel without written permission from their husbands.
Sharia law is an ancient compilation of religious rules that most Muslim nations seek reference in governing their people. Also defined as Islamic law, the essence of sharia laws emanated from the life of Prophet Mohammed known as the hadiths as well as the Quran teachings. The hadiths entail the vocal expressions of prophet Muhammad on divine life and his condemnation of immoral behavior that undermine the acceptable way of life. The teachings are accepted by the Muslim community who affirm that Muhammad’s teachings supplement the functionality of the Quran. On the other hand, the Quran, which forms the core reference on Muslim beliefs and regulations provides moral and spiritual guidance among the Muslims. It also dictates how the Muslims should interact with the non-Muslim community without contravening on the sharia doctrines (Hallaq 20-25).
Shariah literally means path or way to place the water in the desert. It is because many Arabs who lived during the time of the Prophet (PBUH) is influenced by the ways of the desert. Water and direction where the water is come is important for their lives. Shariah is like the direction to go to something good and useful for our good.

Pro-democracy intellectuals also argue that a democratic system is necessary to comply with the Islamic principle that all men are created equally and thus a system that denies equality is anti-Islamic. This is a response to the Arab monarchs in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Morocco, among others, who use religion to legitimize their power. (Espositol & Voll, 1996) A Sudanese intellectual, Abdelwahab El-Affendi, expressed this idea in a publication of Islam21c:
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) supported the principle of ijma when He said: If anything comes to you for decision, decide according to book of Allah, if anything comes to you which is not in the book of Allah, then look to the Sunnah of the Prophet. If nothing comes to you in the Sunnah, then look to what people unanimously agree upon.
In Mary Wollstonecraft’s “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” she argues the fact that women should be treated equally to men. Women were not seen as anything more than a “slave” and to do as the men said. Women who spoke up and refused to be treated unequally where seen as masculine and were looked down upon. Wollstonecraft states, “…if women are to be excluded, without having a voice, from a participation of the natural rights of mankind, …they want reason -else this flaw …will ever shew that men must, in some shape, act like a tyrant…” meaning that if women are not allowed to have a voice then give them an explanation why and allow the men to act like dictators. Wollstonecraft stressed that women who would not speak up, even if they were referred to as masculine, then they were allowing the men to
