thanked him as she took the cup. Before heat could rise to his cheeks, he nodded, and turned around, pretending to grab something from behind him. She frowned a little, but headed back to her place quietly. As soon as she settled, the door opened, and a burst of cool air flooded the room, before it was quickly sucked back out—Rey and Finn had arrived. Caya looked at her, and faked a haughty sip of her coffee, while Rey rolled her eyes, and chuckled. Finn quickly took a seat at the table, and smiled. “Yo!” He exclaimed, a wide smile plastered across his face. Caya set her cup down on the small plate, and licked her lips before responding. “Hey! How was the walk here?” She giggled. Finn, faked a shiver, and chuckled as he sat back in the …show more content…
He did a lot of nodding, was something she noted. She grabbed her wallet again, and prepared to pay, until he returned. “Just pay half.” He said, and the girl tipped her head to the side. Though, she nodded, and complied. After retrieving what she guessed to be about half, she handed it to the raven. He gently took it, and assorted the money into the specific slots. After giving her back a little change, he sent her off with her cup, and she thanked him once more. Upon returning, Rey gave her a lengthy smirk, and began to tease like she had the week before. Caya rolled her eyes, and the trio began a quiet conversation. The quiet conversation consisted of work, what everyone had been up to, and so on. Eventually, Rey decided it was time to head out. Everyone stood, and gathered their things, to which Caya used as a distraction to glance at Kylo every now and then. She was settled in her jacket once more, her scarf wrapped around her neck, and covering some of her face. Rey and Finn led, so Caya took her place in the back, the typical third-wheel position. But, this was a chance to speak to Kylo again. As Finn and Rey exited, Caya took a moment to pause, and turn on her heel. “Bye, Mr. Ren!” She exclaimed, a wide grin between two red cheeks. Kylo’s gaze was lifted yet again, and he gave her one of those rare, small smiles as he waved. “Bye.” He replied quietly. Caya was satisfied with this simple response, and turned to make her way out the door. “You
He gave a snort of surprise, reached for a piece of fish and moved his fingers back from the hot rock. She repeated the steps of emptying out a wet bowl and scraping the fish loose for him.
Jay helped her get up and get how of the room with everyone else. They all neded to take a
“Thank you,” she replied and took a sip of the water, it feeling amazing as it traveled down her dry throat. Octavia excused herself to go help others who had fallen ill after they spoke for a while and she assured Taylor that things were looking better for her since they had brought her in.
So she grabbed her tray of cookies, setting some on a plate and poured a cup of orange juice. "Okay, come sit with me. Have a break, so we can chat."
Minutes later, Darlene had herself composed. She flashed a smile Walker could barely see in the dark cab. It was strained and soft.
He glanced at her and beckoned her over. She came closer warily and wondered what he wanted.
She nodded and gracefully seemed to end the conversation with Queen Guinevere. Then she guided her fiancé toward him.
After he ordered, Mrs. Johnson told her that she would be paying for his food. Mrs. Johnson tipped more than usual and the waitress did not know what to say, so she chose to say nothing. Before Mrs. Johnson left, she said goodbye to Mark, left him with a Charleston Chew, and was on her way.
“I’m afraid of what you might think if I went looking for your younger sister.” Luke quietly shrugged and began to straighten his new apparel. “I don’t think it would come off as a mere _friendly thanks, given my reputation around the galaxy.” Resting to stare down at his scabbed feet, Luke’s candidly sober tone shoved Han more than a few notches. “But I don’t think I could ever blame you for it, Captain Solo. I’m sure you want me out of here as soon as possible.”
Arthur took two fifties out of his wallet and slapped them down on the bar. That was more than enough to cover both tabs, the NOTEBOOK, and a very generous tip, even though Cenred was a bit of a testy fellow. “Consider it payment for your time and work, Tristan.”
“Please,” he tried not to sound as though he was begging, “You’d be doing me a massive favour.” She seemed as though she was weighing the option before finally she nodded. Her small, girlish smile was enough to make him smile back and he felt happier than he ever had
"Alright," I replied. I pulled my boots back on and wrapped my scarf around my neck. Beckett merged onto exit ramp and took a right into a rest stop. I hopped out and stretched a little, reaching my arms above my head.
“Nice effort Cherry Cheese Cake.” He said as he sat down. I finished my drink before sitting next to
The next day, Rey could say it was awkward. Everything felt awkward, maybe it was only really her but she swore everyone around her felt the tension. She tried to act like everything was okay, like when her mom asked her how was your day yesterday? she tried to play it cool and say it was a great day! but the only words that came out were "yes good" and she wanted to slap herself. Her mom didn't question her though, Rey was always clumsy and this was almost a typical day for her. It was only 11:45am when she decided that locking herself up in her room wasn't good for her and decided to head out to the woods, again. This time hopefully, she wouldn't have to go through the incident that happened yesterday. It also looked like he wouldn't be
"Oh, I'm sure you can think of some ways to repay me." Callum's flirtatious tone matched hers and he raised an eyebrow as he dumped his books on the desk, starting at Bailey momentarily, before he broke out into a wider grin. "Such as allowing me to steal your notes."
