Even though That the lifted trucks will be less likely to see small vehicles and therefore become more likely to rear end them., they should not be restricted because it is basically telling a person that you can't drive a big truck because we the government can't because lifted trucks will also have to be more wealthy people because a higher lift would be more expensive causing that person to more likely have insurance and lifted trucks will be more likely to be alert because they are driving a bigger truck. The height of a person is not restricted, So why should the height of a person’s truck be restricted? Cops have pulled over trucks that are majorly big or huge and the cops treat them differently then they would treat a regular car that got pulled over. A truck’s height should not be restricted because that is basically saying your truck can only be this high because it supposedly becomes a “hazard” when it is huge but it isn’t. I mean any lift over 3’ would be illegal because it would raise the bumper more than 3 inches and in order to stay street legal your frame cannot be over 24 inches off the …show more content…
Semi drivers who drive big trucks are always more aware after a good night's sleep. So a truck owner that has a big truck as a daily driver will be more aware . This helps because it shows that lifted truck drivers are more aware of their surroundings. Other people would say, “But when driving at night, lifted truck drivers won’t be as aware.” They are wrong because it is just like when any regular family goes on vacation. If they are too tired they stop driving and sleep at a hotel for a night. Since drivers will be more aware after a good night’s sleep, lifted truck drivers would have to have more money because lifts are expensive causing the driver to be more likely to have

Self driving trucks are a raging topic in today's society. The thought of a vehicle that can drive without a person behind the wheel is amazing within itself. Companies like Otto, Volvo, Daimler, and Peterbilt are sponsoring this idea. The rumor of self driving trucks has been going around for awhile now but people are finally taking action.
There are more than 253 Million cars and trucks in the U.S at this moment. That sounds like a lot but really it isn’t that many. For every 1.3 cars or trucks there is only one person in the United States. With this many cars and trucks in the U.S. there is bound to be some controversy about which one is better. Many people may prefer trucks over cars and in vice versa. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. While trucks are better at hauling or towing things, cars have better gas mileage and can hold more people.
Eighteen wheelers are a vital part of interstate commerce in our country. The big rigs carry products across state lines, and keep our stores’ shelves stocked with the things we need on a daily basis. But, when a trucker is involved in an accident, the injuries are usually catastrophic. The sheer weight of a truck is such that when it collides with a car, the results are severe. Drivers and passengers in cars can suffer broken bones, internal organ damage, spinal and brain cord injuries, or even death. Staying safe around big rigs requires drivers to pay extra special attention when near a truck, and to keep a safe distance. But, drivers can only do so much; it also takes diligence on the part of the trucker in order to safely share the road.
Driving a truck can be a great way to make a living without a college degree. Truck driving is one to the most rapid growing occupations. The Commercial Vehicle Training Association states that, “The truck driver occupation is listed as an occupation with the most growth by the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. (Commercial Vehicle Training Association)” This is very good for people who are trying to get into this occupation. This means that anyone that passes all the requirements is basically guaranteed a job. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration says, “The Administration operates a program to improve safety performance and remove high-risk carriers from the Nation's highways. (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)” Programs like this exist to help make the roads as safe as possible for everyone. Without these programs there would be hundreds of careless and unsafe drivers on the road. In closing, many programs have been setup to keep all other drivers and the company’s materials safe.
In this paper, I will be explaining most, if not all, of the differences between 1967-1972 Chevrolet pickup trucks. What I mean when I say that is these trucks all have the same body style, but a lot of little differences that I think make them better or worse. For example, the 1967 Chevy truck has no marker lights on both the front and rear quarter panels, which is one of the more noticeable changes from the 1967 to 1968 models. There is a pattern in the styles they use like the 1967 and 1968 have the same grills and hoods. Then in 1969, the grill and hood change a little bit but it is practically the same thing. The grill got a little bit of a change in 1970 but it is very minor and hardly noticeable and 1971 and 1972 the grills
I own a Ford truck. So I know what I am talking about when I speak on this subject. I agree with the Ford Truck commercials. The best selling, best built trucks in America. I really can't speak to the quality of today's Ford truck, however. With all the changes in the industry, changes within Ford itself, not to mention today's disposable society...

Especially when you have to go state to state some people can't handle the days away from there family and 2nd they can't handle the on the road life period. There are great outcomes though especially when you a have years behind this career.
Despite your size advantage, collision with a deer and especially a moose can cause extensive damage and endanger your life. There have been several instances of deer crashing through the windshield of a rig. Semi trucks have flipped over and gone down embankments largely because of their swerving actions. Even 40 ton semi trucks aren't invulnerable to damage because
In fact, this isn't possible because a semi rig's stability depends on its trailer load. Therefore these advisory speeds can be too fast. Inexperienced truck drivers can misjudge the ramp curvature and rushed, angry, or distracted drivers may fail to exercise caution.
The vehicle code handbook states that any modification done to a vehicle to alter it from its original state violates the law. That single sentence has created more problems for custom vehicle owners than can be imagined. Yet, at the same time, it has generated massive amounts of money for the state of California. Modifying one’s vehicle sets it apart from others and makes a statement about the owner’s individuality. Over the past decade, hacking up a vehicle, putting a trick paint job on it, and developing an “out-of-control” sound system has evolved into a sport, not just a hobby. As with everything, though, there is always someone or something to try and put a stop
The right-of-way for South Carolina emergency response vehicles is a law that should be followed by all South Carolina citizens. However, some citizens ignore or do not realize that by law they need to pull to the right side of the road when an emergency response vehicle is coming towards them. The deaths due to emergency responders responding to a call could decrease if citizens would move to the right. Possible deaths could occur in the back of an emergency vehicle or outside of them while at the scene of a medical crisis. The individual could be in really bad condition and any time delay could be due to people not moving to the right. Therefore, a wreck could occur still, and the emergency responders could get hurt, or the person in the wreck could be at risk of death. Deaths outside of the emergency vehicles are a high risk due to the size of the truck, and the time it takes just for the emergency trucks to come to a complete stop. Many people just ignore the law and think that the emergency responders only “run code” just so they
Reep Construction recently won a contract for the excavation and site preparation of a new rest area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The main problem is that the firm wants to minimize cost of meeting the monthly trucking requirements for this project but also follows a no-layoff policy.
