Sigurd is more heroic then Gunnar because Sigurd was able to defeat a dragon. Also he accomplished the task of riding through the fire wall surrounding Brunhild’s castle when Gunnar couldn’t do it. Most of Gunnar’s heroic acts were from winning battles in wars. Gunnar would have been heroic like Sigurd if he had accomplished Sigurd’s deeds. This is because being able to ride through a wall of flames and killing a dragon are more impressive heroic acts then winning war battles.

I chose to do the book called “War brothers” by Sharon E. McKay. I chose this book because of the fact it relates to the real world. This story is based on Jacob, a 14 year old kid whose father is a wealthy business man. Jacob’s father is worried that one day his son will be taken take by a real life group called the Lord's resistance army that abducts kids and make them child soldiers that he highers a security team to help protect Jacob. Ultimately the plan fails and Jacob and a couple of his friends are now on a journey trying everything have to survive. With one thing that Jacob can hold on too is hope that his father may one day come save him. As leader of the group Jacob makes everyone in agreement that they will stay with each other

After reading 80 pages of, “Skud,” by Dennis Foon, I felt motivated by the actions and determination shown by the main characters of the story, especially Andy. In the book, all the characters had a goal or objective and worked hard to reach that goal. Although most people would not advise someone to center their life around one certain thing, I think that when one finds a purpose or objective in life they should always do their best to reach this goal regardless of what others say or thinks of it. In the book, Andy dream was to become a popular actor.Although the possibility of getting cast is low and although he was hurt and unwell, Andy still went to the audition because of that small possibility. After reading about this, I felt determined and motivated by actions like this.

In this book a boy named Haroon and a boy named Jay get a point of view. Jay is white, kind of a jock, and on the football team. Haroon is brown, smart and on the Reach for the Top team(which is like a team that answers trivia and competes with other schools). It all starts off when the school goes on a lockdown where police are rushing in the school with dogs and bombarding the hallways. Jay and his friends Kevin and Steve go on the rooftop of the school thinking it is just a regular drill, but then they look down and see a bunch of police cars and they see police that look like swat teams. They see down that the police has taken 2 brown kids with handcuffs. When they go back down the principal makes an announcement telling all students to leave the building immediately.

The time period of the book was December 7, 1941 and around the attack on Pearl Harbor. The main characters in this book is Adam Pelko, His father Emory Pelko, Marilyn Pelko, and Bea Pelko. Adam is a high school student, a military kid, good at sports, lives in New York, and has dark hair. Adam's father is Emory who is a Lieutenant commander of the Navy who is assigned to the ship Arizona. Adams mother who is Marilyn is a navy wife and is Adam and Bea's mom. I did the novel name Tears Of Tiger, the story is basically about a teenager boy, Andrew Jackson, 17 years old, plays in a Hazelwood basketball team. His friends call him Andy. It was night time and Andy and his friends, Robert, B.J. Carson, and Tyrone Mills are trying to have a good time, so they went out to get some air. They were very happy and also drinking while driving. Andy was the one who was driving and his friend Robert was on the passenger sit and B.J and tyrone was on the back.
