Sports Players Get Paid More Than Soldiers

Pro athletes over the world are paid millions of dollars to play a sport, while people like doctors or policemen are risking their lives everyday are not even close to these athletes. I feel that pro athletes shouldn't be making that much money because of the fact they aren't really worth millions of dollars more than the rest of us. Athletes do deserve to make a living. They inspire and entertain us and they work hard. But, there are plenty of people out there who have hazardous and difficult jobs, but no one's handing them a colossal sum of money. Sure, we love to watch them for entertainment, but the sports they are playing are unimportant or our community because they aren't helping us in anyway.

NCAA players should be able to get paid for playing in games that generate millions of dollars for universities, they can get seriously injured playing the game, their images are used for other people to make money, and they are not able to get a job because of all the hours put into their sport.

Have you ever been so angry at the amounts of money that they give to the sports players compared to soldiers? Well be angry at yourself. You are the one who’s giving them the money. And I bet you’re also mad because all the money the sports players make goes into nice cars and houses. Not all of that is true. They also have big charity cases for great causes. Yes, I know. You have at least one more reason to back up that soldiers should make more money; they put their lives on the line everyday. I’ll have you know that hundreds of professional sports players have died while playing. They put their life on the line for us to have entertainment, just like the soldiers do for our safety.

It is practically absurd that our country is willing to pay the NFL players more money than the people who are making it possible for them to get paid in the first place. Without our military force, our country may not even be in the state where these football players get paid as much as they do, yet the soldiers are the ones suffering from this. A quick look online can find hundreds of people talking about how sickening it is for our veterans and current active duty soldiers to be paid so little, yet almost nothing is done about this. Although, how could something truly be done, our country is centered around business and the economy, and our military simply does not fit into that. Our country was built around the idea of business, and with that comes a price, which is that our military cannot receive as much of an income, no matter how immoral it is.
