Padre Pio has become one of the most popular saints in the world. St. Pio of Pietrelcina or Padre Pio, was born in the small Italian village of Pietrelcina on May 25, 1887. Then known as Franscesco, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, he was born to two peasant farmers, Giuseppa and Grazio Forgione. The day after his birth, he was baptized at the Castle Church near his home. The town of Pietrelcina was very religious and saint's feast days were celebrated throughout the year, this had a strong influence on the Forgione family. (Padre Pio of Pietrelcina) One example, is when Consiglia De Martino of southern, Italy was suddenly struck by a terrible disease and would have need surgery to survive, but the night prior to the surgery she prayed to Padre Pio and the next morning she was completely healed. Padre Pio's feast day is on September 23rd and he is the patron saint of civil defense volunteers and Catholic adolescents. (A Padre Pio Celebration) I chose to research and write about Padre Pio, because I found his life very fascinating. I thought it was very intriguing, that Padre Pio, mysteriously received the signs of crucifixion and the doctors had no other natural explanation for it. His life is inspirational, because, even though he went through great suffering throughout his life, he still managed to see God's love for him. Padre Pio believed that with love from God, came suffering and suffering for the sake of God, helped the soul reach and become closer to God. An inspirational quote from Padre Pio is, “Pray, hope, and do not worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” (Padre Pio Quotes) This is something I would like to imitate in my life, because this quote describes the basics things one needs to do the lead a good spiritual life. One should not worry because God is there and will protect you through your troubles. In order to achieve this, I would have to be more trusting in God and accept that he will be there to
Francis of Assisi was a poor man who astounded and inspired the Church by taking the gospel literally—not in a narrow fundamentalist sense, but by actually following all that Jesus said and did, joyfully, without limit and without a mite of self-importance. Francis was famous for his love of all creation. He called for simplicity of life, poverty, and humility before God. He worked to care for the poor. Thousands were drawn to his sincerity, piety, and joy. In all his actions, Francis sought to follow fully and literally the way of life demonstrated by Christ in the Gospels. My report is going to discuss the life and contributions of St. Francis of Assisi.
When I was told to choose a saint to be my patron saint for Confirmation, I thought the choice was obvious for me. It took me just a few moments and one quick touch to my neck to remember my patron saint, Saint Sebastian. I have a medal that I wear every time I leave the house with a picture of Saint Sebastian that says “Saint Sebastian Pray For Us.” I was given this medal when I was very young.

Produced by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1787, Don Giovanni is regarded as one the best operas ever made. The piece is based on the legend of Don Juan, an illusory libertine and seducer of women (Kerns, 2010). At first, Mozart’s opera seems more like a story of the romantic adventures of a dissolute nobleman and his disgrace. However, there is much more to Don Giovanni than just a series of events and serious laughs, just as the protagonist is much more than a notorious, single-minded, and unprincipled seducer. Closer examination of the piece reveals its core themes of social classes and divisions as depicted by Leporello’s complaints about his servitude to his employer in the first scene (Mozart, Fisher, & Ponte, 2007). The play also touches on vital human traits and principles, including loyalty, faithfulness, and sincerity. More importantly, Don Giovanni centers on the ambiguity intrinsic to human relations, the intricate connection between life and death, and the interminable tension between love and the risk of its extermination.

Every person has feelings. These feelings are aroused by a catalyst. A touch, a smell, a sight. When a person does art, his or her duty is to titillate the viewer. His or her work must be passionate, captivating and able to be thought about. When an artist renders a piece, be it a painting, water color, sculpture, dance or poem, he or she must inspire the viewer to come back and look at it a second and a third time. The artist must expand his or her mind to engulf others. Octavio Ocampo has accomplished all this and more. Around the world millions of people have become enthralled with his innovative style. People are fascinated by his work. Everyone from the art connoisseur to businessmen and professionals are thrilled by the reactions
El Greco (“The Greek”), also known as Domenicos Theotocopulos, was a painter, sculptor, and architect of the Spanish Renaissance. El Greco was born in Crete in 1541, which was then a part of the Republic of Venice, and the center of Post-Byzantine art. He had trained and become a master within that tradition and an icon painter. Among his great artworks, I would like to draw attention to “Pietà (The Lamentation of Christ)”, an oil painting. El Greco had painted this masterpiece about c.1565-70 in Italy, during the Cretan period.
In the Romano Pitesti case, Tickton-Jones’ Management Team is faced with a situation that is not altogether uncommon in the business world, in that some employees feel that members of the Sales staff are being given “special” treatment by the company. Romano’s actions have probably not been as bad as what has been described to Management, but due to the fact that employees are still trying to find their place in the new, combined company, any hint of “unfairness” is immediately put under a microscope by other employees, and therefore, Management will have to take some sort of action, in order to show the other employees that their concerns are being taken seriously.
