STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge -- myth is more potent than history -- dreams are more powerful than facts -- hope always triumphs over experience -- laughter is the cure for grief -- life is stronger than death.” If you ask me to describe myself I would say that I am pleasant, diverse, and active man. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am an engineering graduate with a flair for management. I also have a passion for traveling and exploring different cultures of the world. All these elements have helped me develop a very broad outlook, with varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. As a freshman at the undergraduate

For reaching to my dreams I needed to start with a globally with a well established organization and luckily I got selected in the campus interview at my college during my engineering. Working with Wipro Technologies for over 2 and a half years gave me a little insight into the corporate world ethics which went through various phases including the Recession Period when the market was on a low and it was tough to sustain your job. I keenly observed the behavior of employees and the management during recession. The results were not encouraging as the employee management relation was deteriorating day by day during this economically hit period. I want to make a difference to the organization I work with in my future even during the economic slowdown. I am passionate about all my dreams in making it true. However I do need help to shape myself to the best ever manager with which I could make differences to the quality of lives of the people and companies across the globe. Pursing a MSC in Human Resource Management and Business degree became inevitable for me as it was my path to future career so decided to do my Masters from Aston University which provides a quality education. The UK higher Education system combines the best elements of tradition and modernity. The quality of UK degree is one reason why I plan to come to The UK and study. Another is the value for money. Also the
I am Andrew Soebagio, from Indonesia. I’ve been a student at North for about a year and a half now. I’m planning to graduate from North this upcoming fall, with an AS degree. A major that I have in mind is Petroleum Engineering; hopefully this plan will stick with me till I graduate.
It is my aspiration to develop software and products that meets the needs of those who use them. When you take a look at the makeup of the tech industry professionals, it is common knowledge that there is a substantial gap in terms of gender and race. As a result, the products and applications created for social, business, or personal purposes created with a male Eurocentric type mindset. One basic idea of creating user products is making sure the product itself represents and attests to the needs of people. When the group creating products shows lack of diversity in identity, this can neglect to meet underlying needs or wants of different groups of people.
Why is participating in the A Day in the Life at the VNA important to you?
My commitment to dedicating a life of service to others has brought me here in the United States from Nepal. This decision to move to a different country was based solely in order to pursue a career in medicine. Influenced by a team of German doctors that resided in Nepal, I moved here at the age of 19 by myself .I bring to the United States the culture, tradition and values from a city called Kathmandu in Nepal. My hometown Kathmandu awakes to the sound of barking dogs, tea-vendors and the unceasing honking of horns and stunning backdrop of 360-degree mountain ranges. Growing up, I always looked at the mountains and thought to myself that as I continue to grow I want to foster values like endurance, strength, courage, unfailing loyalty, and determination
I first got involved in theatre when I was 7 years old. It was never something I thought I would be doing for the rest of my life. I had first done gymnastics as a little girl for a few years. Then, I started playing soccer on a soccer team in my community. I started acting at classes down at my local rec center. Then, I auditioned for the musical my first year in middle school and fell completely attached to putting on a big production. Throughout the rest of middle school, I took choir all three years and was a part of all the productions and participated in Drama Club. At the end of my 8th grade year, I was inducted into the International Thespian Society. I decided to get serious about my training after my sophomore year of high school. I started training programs at the Denver Center of Performing Arts with Allison Watrous and other faculty members. The
As a child of an immigrant mother and father, I was expected to attend school, expected to be academically successful, and expected to achieve financial success. When I was younger, all of my classes seemed like chores and something that I was incapable of enjoying. When I took chemistry in the second year of high school, I went through a spiritual cleansing. I had never learned about the topic before and the idea of the arrangement of molecules and the idea behind their existence in this world brought forth a newfound fascination, almost obsession for knowing more. Since then, my love for chemistry has instilled a sense of discovery within me as well establishing a purpose for learning all similar topics in order to understand more about chemistry and its foundations. For instance, math, which I had previously considered to be a mindless chore transformed into a subject that I enjoy learning about because I can connect my newfound insights in mathematics to chemistry.

A personal mission statement is a philosophy or creed that one plans to follow in daily life. It is usually designed with positivity, purpose, and with personal goals for every aspect of life such as career, finances, etc. It also focuses on personality traits that one would like to possess and the accomplishments that one wants to achieve, both short-term and long term. It also houses the individuality of the person writing it. Every person writing a personal mission statement is will produce a different statement. This is primarily because people value different things, characteristics and have different goals. The purpose of this paper is to explore my mission statement (Covey, 2013, pp.113).

Design is a passion and a way of life. I have an aptitude for designing things and excel at engineering drawing. I have passed “Elementary & Intermediate” level drawing examinations and have secured good grades in Machine Design and Design of Mechanical Systems (DMS). Having a father who worked in vehicle product development, manufacturing and quality domain, I learnt some design principles very early on. The importance of First Time Right design of vehicle and the appropriate process in achieving high quality and productivity in the plant were some lessons. I used to be all ears when he described various machines, processes and major concerns on the shop floor. The seeds of a career in Design and Manufacturing were thus
Technology, especially computers, has always been a central passion of mine. I am deeply involved with its implementation into everyday life. Professionally, I utilize computers daily as a means to aid in the diagnostic process of repairing automobiles. I consider myself to be the most knowledgeable and tech saavy employee at my current shop in regards to using the scanner to communicate and interface with electronics and computers on vehicles, utilizing the parts catalog software efficiently to find the correct part, using software to find service literature and labor manuals to aid in diagnosis and repair, utilizing Google, Youtube, iATN forums, and the like to find solutions to problems and answers to questions which may not be readily available or easily accessible within the manufacturers service literature, and understanding and utilizing the Hunter alignment software to align and occasionally diagnose very specific problems on vehicles.
Since childhood, my mother has inspired my life by teaching me that the best contribution we can make in this life, and the greatest success we can enjoy comes from helping others to have a better life, particularly poor people. As I grew up, it was very hard for me to see a needy person and not being able to help. So, providing help to others in any possible way became the focus of my life.
“Give me a firm place to stand and I will move the earth,” Archimedes once said. Similar sentiments resonate within my mind as I embark on the penultimate round of my race to my goals. My confidence is never shaken because I firmly believe that the answer lies within each individual. As far as I am concerned, I have set my sights on my goals and am willing to do all within my powers to reach out to them.
While I was searching for a captivating career for life during my BDS, something that would grip my mind and keep me thirsting for more, I was captivated by the sphere of public health and similar issues which were not localized to any one nation but had global ramifications if not arrested on time. My search ended for I had found my calling. Today a desire to be a part of the leading force of public health professionals brings me to the Masters Degree course in Public Health at your University.
