The road crumbled under the car as we leave the city.
”where are we going mom” I asked while staring out the window of the red van?
“We are going out in the country to see your grandparents and to do are family hike.” She said while leaving the interstate. After a while there was nothing but bright countryside filled with pastures along with fields of cotton stretching miles across. We turned on the old dirt to get to my grandparents and then I saw a huge eight point buck drinking water from a spring and I turned to my mom and said
”Did you see that!”
“That was pretty cool.” Mom replied. As we pulled in the driveway our grandparents were already waiting and helped us with our luggage. After lunch grandpa started to lecture me about our family

When I was ahead a few hundred feet I began to look around, I wondered if there were any fruit or something I could climb because I was bored out of my mind! There It was a giant oak tree the top high in the sky, I could barely see it the only problem was it was a few feet off the trail. At that point I decided to just go climb it. When I was up a good couple of feet I just sat there thinking I could be at home watching the game than in the woods with no signal. While I was climbing the tree I found a good spot to sit and after a while I dozed off.
There i was sitting on the tree sleeping, I didn't even know how I fell asleep all I knew was it wasn't going to be good for me . I woke up, then at that moment my leg slipped I looked down and there was the ground coming at me, super fast then before I could react I hit the ground. The fall might of bruised my ribs because they were in pain. At that moment I wondered where my grandparents were. I decided to go back on the trail and try to find them. I ran as fast as I could sprinting up the trail taking short cuts on the trail trying to catch up when I finally got out of breath I didn't know where I was. All I knew was that I was lost. I sat down thinking,‘this is it. You really messed this up.Gosh why was I so stupid’? I don't hear anything except the birds chirping loudly and the wind blowing through the trees, then at that moment
When I was 13 years old I went to school in Waycross,GA. I went to Waycross Middle School. My school was one of the top schools in Waycross. I was 3rd in my class, and I had all A's and B's.
Humans are animals. Even as developed, personalized, and intelligent as we are, we share a deep connection with every living thing. However, many of the problems in the world result from the human belief that technology is more powerful and can replace the serene, perfect essence of nature. I believe that a connection with nature can heal wounds and help humans find balance in their lives.
As Bill took his first step in the woods, he takes a deep breath soaking in the scent of oak and fresh ash. “far removed from the seats of strife”, not having a warm bed or hot meals even a full night rest. Knowing he had one abventure ahead for Bill and Kats. Both having to hike 16 miles everyday over rocks, trees, crossing ice cold rivers, and hearding the rain outside of thier tend and the roaring of the bears at night.
On my way to the waterfall I had to go through Rock City and over a long bridge. While I was crossing the bridge I started jumping and moving the bridge side to side. When we were enjoying the waterfall it started to rain. Once it started raining I was spinning all around in the rain, then I realized that my uncle and them left me. So I started running. After it stop raining I saw a deer hiding under the bridge.
For as long as I could remember, a trail of blood always seemed to follow me. It starts when some punk kid picks on me, the next week or so, they die. Most blame me, the police accused me. No matter where I would go, the killings follow me. Nobody wanted a girl like me around, I wouldn't blame them. I wouldn't be around me anyway. At least at home, I wouldn't get bullied, no more killings.
We greeted each other with kind respect. We met on the trail when his wagon broke. I offer to help Curtis Mick Colloni with his wagon. We exchange each other name and we left. I knew he was a skilled doctor and he he would I left the place and I ask Curtis if he would like travel together. As I was walking, I saw Hunter. I ran up to him and greeted him. I met Hunter Norm Cline during the trail when it block by a log. There was a lot of people and together, Hunter organized the group to pull the log. I ask if he would like to join me on the way to Oregon. He said he had 2 other family going on the trail and ask if I would join. He also mentioned that he was the leader of the group. I merge with the group and together we form a wagon
After a supper of fried fish, grits, and biscuits, the children’s bellies were full and their imaginations were running wild- they hadn’t completely forgotten living on the trail- The same as when they were younger, they wanted Charity to tell them a story before they went to sleep. She smiled at their eagerness, remembering all the stories she had told them at night while they were on the trail from Sandersville to Canton. It seemed that once they were settled in a house and not camping under the stars, the need for her bedtime stories were no longer necessary. Living on the trail seemed to bring her children much closer to her; she missed living that way…
"He was quick and alert in the things of life, but only in the things, and not in the significances."
When I began Ontrack I was very fearful of feedback, I saw it as judgement. I am now excited when I get feedback, I now see it as a platform to fix issues or have a greater understanding of what I am doing right. Granted, I have been exceeding my expectations of myself, so I am aware that if this changes will have to deal with the previous issues of feeling judged. Albeit I am now prepared for this instance which is important to me. The comfort zone I had created was very scary to give up, the fear of what I thought was ‘failure’ was somewhat crippling. Luckily for me with the help of my tutor and peers I realized that a growth mindset was pivotal and to obtain it I would have to succumb. The shift from a fixed to a growth mindset has made
“Hey, Chase, do you have any cash I can borrow? I promise I’ll pay you back as soon as I can.”
I gobbled that down in like three seconds flat. ( Not kidding) I walked over to the front hall and grab my tennis shoes. I look at them while i am lacing them up. Aqua pink, and black shoelaces. I walk out the front door and start to run. When i got to the park and hour later i started to walk. I love to run because it cleanses my mind. I also give me the feeling that i am fre. I think that i should start to go home because it has been three hours since i left the house. The mood started to darken th. The sky suddenly turned black as the night. The kids and their parents got in the car and drove away. Ii turned around only to find that i was the only living thing in site.Frantically thinking i heard
I decided to stay under the rock for a little while to see if the snow would let up. The fire was keeping me a little warm, and the food helped a little bit so I didn’t feel hungry. I fell asleep, and when I woke up in the morning the storm had passed. I got up and found my trail and hiked down the mountain. When I got home my family was in a panic wondering what had happened to me. They had called the search and rescue, but the storm wouldn’t allow them to hike the mountain to find me. We were all relieved that I made it down the mountain safe and
I woke up around 6:30 in the morning and I realized I had not eaten in days and I was starving. So I went out and started looking for something to eat, but I couldn’t find anything, then out of the corner of my eye I saw a rabbit so I jumped for But unfortunately I missed and the rabbit hopped away. So I went back to the camp, and I sat there and I was thinking how was I going to catch any animals then it hit me.I started out in the woods looking of a curved stick and eventually after looking for one for about twenty minutes I found one I tried to break it but it was to hard so it was a good stick. So I started walking back to camp when I got there I took one of my shoelaces and tied it to the stick the shoelace was nice and sturdy so I knew this was going to be a good bow.
It was getting pretty dark so we had to be quick. Will brought some flashlights for us to use, we asked him why he had them and he said he's afraid to walk in the dark alone. Alex and I just started laughing at the ridiculousness of way just said. I told him the last time I was afraid of the dark was when I was five. It was my first time sleeping without a night-light and I thought there was something in my closet. I kept on crying and crying until my mom came in and showed me that there was nothing there, ever since that I've never been afraid of the dark. We started to descend the hill to search for the ball it was fall however, there were so many piles of leaves that resembled the ball. It would have been hard to find it. At this time it was getting pretty dark so we turned on the flashlights to get a better look. I told my friends they have to stay with me or else they would reach out to giving me $50 to replace the football. 15 minutes had passed and we were getting tired I said “we can come back tomorrow and look for it then.” They said okay that's fine but how are we going to get out, no one had taken directions so we were lost in the forest just the three of us. So we just guessed which way was out and we started walking in that direction. A couple of minutes had passed and Alex tripped on something, his
After that we sat in silence for about 20 minutes until the cold began to nip at my feet and the tips of my fingers which made me very restless but I tried to do my best so I would not scare away the deer. When we hit the 60 minute mark I was bored out of my mind, I thought I would go crazy, but suddenly my Father grabbed my coat and pointed out Words the west side of the field that we were watching. I
