When I received the results from Strength’s Quest, I was a little surprised to see some of the qualities that made it to the top five. I figured that responsibility, empathy, and focus would be one of the top three. It was very interesting to see what qualities really shine through when you’re taking a timed survey. However, the strengths that did make it to the top five embodied my character perfectly, and connected with some of the values that I live by. My signature themes include; consistency, positivity, learner, harmony, and input. While I agree that I possess all five of these themes, there were some aspects of each that I don’t’ agree with. The report read that consistency, the first theme listed, is the quality of a person who values
As I have mentioned above, that achiever, strategic, learner, belief, and responsibility are my top five themes as revealed by StrengthsFinder. I was astounded and amazed after reading the detail description of my personal five themes, because these are the most consistent behaviors that I display in my daily personal and professional life. I think this assessment is reliable and trustworthy, because the result provided on the bases of my responses drew an accurate picture of my strengths.
My top 5 themes from the StrengthsQuest Inventory are Maximizer, Relator, Adaptability, Includer, and Belief.
When one thinks of the word “strong,” he or she thinks about weightlifting, muscles, and physically demanding tasks. But when I hear the word “strong,” I think of power, or what makes one powerful. What makes me powerful are the qualities that further build me up as a person. The StrengthsFinder Inventory identifies my powerful qualities through my top five themes, which are Significance, Achiever, Responsibility, Focus, and Relator. My Signature Themes present my five most prevailing themes of talent, in the rank order revealed by my responses to the StrengthsFinder Inventory. They are very important because they can ultimately lead to my successes in the near future. Who says being physically fit is what makes me stronger? My strengths
Discovering ones strengths is an important process that every young adult should strive to achieve, that is why I was excited to take the Gallup Strengthfinder Assessment. This test aims to highlight each individual’s unique assets, which is possible by completing a short evaluation. Then the poll produces the top five signature themes out of thirty-four possible options. Like many, I was very eager to learn something new about myself. This came as no surprise once I received my test results which are closely related to knowledge.
Personally the top three strengths connect to me very perfectly. Perspective is a form of saying that I take a look of things in a broader point of view. Where everyone’s idea are taken into consideration to come up with a fair conclusion, or viewing a problem globally to define my answer. These past few years I have found a humble, peaceful, and positive perceptive of the human race and the earth itself. Meditation, rituals, and change of life style has embraced in me that my strength for spirituality stands as number 2 on the list. I cannot count the times I had to be strong not only for myself, but for my family. Bravery is a strength that helps me stay strong from all the obstacles thrown my way. According to “Level 5 leadership” by Jim Collins is described as Humility + Will = Level 5. "Level 5 leaders are a study in duality,
When I took my strengths test I was not necessarily shocked with what I received, more with what I did not receive. I thought for sure that I would have received positivity because people are always telling me how positive I am. Through learning about my strengths I have come to realize that all five of my strengths together may be the cause of my positive attitude, and all five of my strengths working together constantly are what people see. My strengths are restorative, communication, input, strategic, and achiever.
For the most part, I found that the Gallup Strengths Quest survey was a helpful and accurate tool for recognizing individuals’ strengths. While I have a few qualms with placement and the wording of a few themes, I believe the survey accurately reflected my traits. The Gallup Survey named restorative as my first, and most prominent, strength. I believe the description fits as one of my strengths because I enjoy solving problems and uncovering undetermined factors and eradicating them. But I do not agree with the first part listed as a characteristic of those who have restorative as a major theme, that is being energized when new problems arise .I do not get energized by problems, but rather, I love exterminating all problems.
I’ve taken strength-based surveys before and I am always fascinated with what they allow me to learn about myself. Rarely have I’ve taken a strength-based where I didn’t learn something new about myself. There was a point in my life where I had wished I paid more attention to what the information told me; if I had paid attention my school career would’ve gone a completely different route. I eventuality got to the point where I feel like I was on the right path, there was just added bumps in the road that I learned from. This was the first time where I’ve taken a strength-based survey that listed my strengths out the way it does. It was interesting to read each character strength and see how it really relates in my life.
My five strengths that strengthsquest gave me is Input, Connectedness, Relator, Futuristic, and Responsibility. Each of these strengths definitely describe me and how I look at my life. I have worked in retail and customer service for the past four years and I use each of my strengths while working with the customers.
Based off my result after taking the VIA Survey of Character Strengths survey my first strength is my judgment, my effective use of critical thinking, and my open-mindedness. I agree with this because I actually spend more time thinking things through and assessing the cost and rewards than I do with the action I was originally thinking about. The Second Strength was Fairness, equity, and justice. I do agree with this strength but its description is not how I would describe it. I treat all people fairly and how I would want to be treated. I may give everyone a chance but ultimately I believe you get what you give; if you treat others good will get the same in return. I completely agree with the third strength- Hope, optimism, and future-mindedness.
The five qualities I received from the StrengthsQuest were adaptability, restorative, futuristic, woo and positivity. Adaptability refers to the ability to be able to live in the moment, this allows you to be able to focus on different things even if that means straying from your original plan. Restorative gives the ability to problem solve, where many would be stumped by problems this quality gives thrill to the challenge of solving an issue. Futuristic is the ability to be energized with thoughts of the future. Woo is defined as the ability to win others over, in situations where there are many people this ability thrives on building connections with strangers. Positivity is pretty self-descriptive giving the ability to have a good outlook and find the best in any situation.
My Signature Themes are achiever, arranger, responsibility, input, and significance. Each of these are very significant in defining my strengths and showing me how to best use my strengths in my future. My first strength was achiever and this is representing me as a whole, and is what I use in everyday life. I am a driven person who wants to accomplish many things and I visualize my life as a mountain that I will overcome every day and at the end of every day I will have a beautiful view of what I have accomplished. I use every day in events such as: relentless volunteering, working long hours and everything is done with an impeccable sense of satisfaction after completion. My second and third strengths are arranger and responsibility. These
My core value from the strengths assessment was courage, as it reiterated in the face of opposition exercising perseverance, honesty and bravery (all in my top 5) will allow me to accomplish goals internally and externally within the company I choose to work for.
For my last objective for this assignment. I decided to take the Character Strengths Survey. This assignment lets identify your top three strengths. You have to provide an example of how you are currently using these three strengths in your life. I really enjoyed doing the survey. I went into a quiet room and took the survey. I approach each question with honesty. I know it seems that every question was it was very much like me. To know me is to love me to be honest. Anyone can probably tell you I am a very positive person. I believe when people do not believe. I use these strength everyday in my life. I am a very spiritual person. God is number in my life. I go to church about everyday because I can not do nothing without him. I
Out of thirty-four strengths, my top five are empathy, developer, futuristic, positivity, and harmony. My top strength theme, empathy, is very accurate to my personality, because I always try to put myself in someone’s else's situation to try to understand what they are going through. I believe that you should always be nice to everyone you meet, because you never know what struggle they may be facing. I always try to smile at everyone I pass and do random courteous acts for people to help them feel good in hopes to brighten their day, even if only for a minute. I’m always told that I’m too nice to people and I should put my own wants and needs before others, but I don’t think that anyone can ever be “too nice,” and there’s no harm in
