December of the year one thousand seven hundred ninety-three
Dearest Stryver, It has come to the time to end the partnership between us. I am afraid I can no longer provide all the work and judgements for any further cases. I suppose you can say our business is over with. Throughout my years I have become very understanding of many matters. As of right now I suspect the many questions racing through your mind. You must be furious and I assume you are not hesitant to send a letter my way. But let me tell you to be hesitant, for my life is coming to an end. Fear and pity me not, for I shall explain and be very concise within this letter. Currently I stand stranded in the bloodiest of all countries, France. If only I had the life of Mr. Lorry. For he has all he needs, The words to describe him are unimaginable, he is the perfect business man and has the most affectionate family that appreciates him to come home to. For myself there is a difference, no one really loves me as much as him. In a sense not many would dare to shed a tear for me. Lorry is a very old man and reached year seventy eight of his life, although he does not act like it. Lorry the hardworking business man never stops and shows complete compassion for the family. He even now puts their needs in front of his own, what a youthful man he is. But for I, “I am not old, but my young way was never the way to age,” (Pg. 323). I grew up sadly and unfortunately, I should have never grew up the way I did. Now there is no one to cry for me and no one to show affection towards me. Not even the motivation of my life would cry for me. Lorry is a lucky man, he has people who treat him like family. If only I had what Lorry
