Use your Student LPI report and what you have learned about Encourage the Heart to take action based on one of the six behaviors associated with this practice. Please provide the following in this forum:
What behavior did you choose and why did you choose this behavior?
I chose to encourage those around me in any given situation, whether it is for work or school because people become more highly motivated when they see that someone else believe they are doing good on a task. Encouraging not only makes the person feel good, but it shows them that people do pay attention and that their work is appreciated. With the feeling of appreciation comes confidence. For my small group communication class, we had to give a presentation about a movie and apply concepts we learned from class to it. I was the only person in my group who hadn’t taken the public speaking class so I was pretty nervous. When my group was rehearsing, my group members encouraged me by reminding me of how similar giving speeches and giving someone a tour was.

The team will become stronger, because we will be constantly encouraging one another and looking for other ways to give support in order to continue the positivity. Everyone included would consist of my teammates at my job. Not only WCTs, which I am, but the incoming workers and those who have been there for quite some time. We have got to make sure EVERYONE is on the same page when it comes to completing tasks and continuing to accomplish the goals we have for the company. Everything will go into effect as soon as possible. The faster we can start working towards our goal, the faster we can get things done and start working on new things for the team. This will take place at work, Buffalo Wild Wings. If we truly become dedicated, we will bring it to the streets and participate in events, seeing as how we are located right outside of LSU’s
I.e. praising a child or your colleague, being a listening ear, giving constructive feedback and being approachable. This stance can elevate confidence and vision.
Implement measures to improve cardiac output: perform actions to reduce cardiac workload: place client in a semi- to high Fowler's position, instruct client to avoid activities that create a Valsalva response, implement measures to promote emotional and physical rest, implement measures to improve respiratory status, discourage smoking, provide small meals rather than large ones,
“Teamwork is critical to successful use of talent, skills, knowledge and labor in a globally competitive marketplace. All members of a team and organization have something to share with others and something to learn” (Kaye, & Hogan, 1999). Combined “Learning Team D” has a lot of strengths some of the innate tendencies are that a majority of the team is tenacious. As a whole they seek to get things done quickly. The members all express confidence in their ability to achieve and make things happen. They are able to create a plan of action and follow-up routines. The team is able to take calculated risks when making decisions. The team is able to see things in black and white. This makes it easier for them to delegate and take charge when it is required. Members often downplay
Clarity of purpose increases but plenty of uncertainties persist. Cliques form and there may be conflict and power struggles. The team needs to be focused on its goals to avoid becoming distracted by relationships and emotional issues. Compromises may be required to enable progress. The leader coaches.
I would never say anything because I didn’t want to slow everyone else down. Using this behavior I made sure that when I didn’t understand I would ask things like, “Do you mean (whatever I needed to understand), or, “So you're saying that…”. It not only helped me understand better and faster, but it saved me a lot of time because now I wouldn’t have to look it up on the internet or in the textbook. Another behavior that helped me a great amount would be requesting information. An example of this would be to start a new problem I would say, “So how would we solve this problem?” It helped me and my group stay on task and helped us work better as a group. I was not the only person who used this behavior and our group had a great time focusing. This behavior also works on helping you become a better speaker. I’m fairly shy so this helped me feel like I was more a part of the group. The last behavior I used more than the others would be testing reasoning. When a group member would come up with what he or she thought was the answer to the problem they would explain
There is a saying that many hands make light work. The essence of this statement is that more can be achieved as a collective than individually. We all have different skills, knowledge and personal attributes. By utilizing all of these different aspects in a team, more ideas can be generated. As more ideas are generated, more creative solutions are generated, leading to better results. It is amazing the amount of support that is created in teams, especially when the going gets tough. People will often go to what seems like extreme lengths when they know that they can rely on the support and encouragement of the team. Never underestimate the significance of this in
P: After working together and people looking out for each other the team will get stronger and be more productive as there is high morale
We lean on each other just as much as we strive individually. Together we are stronger and bring out the best in each other. We win together and lose together. We have girls that are our Moms, they keep us under control. Then we have the loud ones, they are the girls that talk when they should and even when they shouldn't. We have the quiet ones who keep to themselves and hardly engage with others. We have the academically talented and the students who can't hand in assignments on time. The one thing we all have in common is our drive and determination towards this team. The second we step over that white line all our lives change. We don't care about anything besides each other in that moment. All of our differences vanish and the one thing that brought us together in the first place takes over. We come
An effective and productive team doesn't just happen. It requires structures, support and processes that encourage development. Team building happens over time. When building and developing a cohesive, effective and productive team you need to determine how your team fits and the roles they play in the organisation. Does anything need to be changed? How and when can these changes be put into action? Organisational, strategic and operational plans need to contain suitable mechanisms for supporting team development.
According to my viewpoint, the strength of our team is that we all work collaboratively and together and not only that we also listen to each other opinions
I need to continue to hone in on members of my team and help them grow individually while taking the time to understand what they need in order to do so. Identification of strengths and weaknesses among all team members will not only help determine how I can help coach and mentor them but also how I delegate work. In order to have my team function at the highest level, I need to understand what each team member has to contribute and play my hand accordingly in order to achieve the best outcome. Knowing that I have put the best team in place and that we are functioning at our highest level, I have achieved success and the metrics, if attainable, will reflect
Analyze your interventions with a current or former patient /client from the perspective of achieving behavioral change. Please briefly describe the case or situation and then complete ONE of the following:
Encourage the Heart, 15. Creatively reward people for contributions. As shown in the study, we completed in the SELC, I am not a feeler, frequently looking at contributions to a project or task as part of the job and doing what is needed to accomplish the mission. There is a need to slow down and take into account what others are contributing and realize that everyone has different
My team has a number of strengths. First of all, it is the flexibility of majority of team members, thereby creating an effective team. The team members, although they come from different units, they are capable of accommodating each other’s views resulting in a strong team.
The team will gather ideas about the team efficiency improvement and establish a certain strategy at the coming class.
