Samuel, Armenakis and Green (1984) illustrated employee plays a vital role in Organizational Diagnosis. Front-line staff deal with daily affairs for customers; therefore, they have a clear understanding of what customers need and what obvious or small problems existed within the company. Employees can provide useful information for management level from the initial decision making phrase to the final implementation and feedback collection phrase.
Employees are as important for sport participation services as for sport spectator services for the following reasons. First and foremost, undoubtedly, the roles are changeable between participants and spectators. The audience today can be tomorrow’s potential participants. Generally, when these spectators wish to join a club, their perceptual and filtering processes about the good service they have experienced before contributes to their decision. In consequence, a successful long-stand sport organization must train their employees to treat both sides well. Secondly, for profit organisations, the start point of good employee service in holding competitions or activities is to attract more audience so as to earn more. Although non-profit organisations do not act as a going concern, they do aim to keep sports spirit permanent with an infinitely surpassing pursuit and wish more people to share the spirit. As a result, admittedly, what service employees do to the participants is extremely important in improving activity

M. 2009 P506). This example highlights the problem of national governing bodies like the British Athletic Federation, that they don’t know whether to adopt a policy of ‘sport for all’ or more elite policies. Instead it would appear that governing bodies like the BAF have developed short sighted polices which aim to balance their spending; however as a result they have directly cut the provision of disciplines played by a large number of people, in what seems to be an attempt to move towards elite sport. This is something that I would not endorse as cutting programs which are engaged with seems like a decisive step away from the general aims of the government which is to increase participation in sport. By cutting programs like cross country they are not only contradicting themselves but showing that the public are not the main concern, also making it forthright that governing bodies are miss using the revenue given to them by the government by cutting programs which are played by all people.
The argument has been made that sports people should not be considered to be role models in our society. The subject is indeed a contentious one considering that people are generally social being and are highly influenced by the actions of other people. Many ideologies in sport have caused controversy, relating to who is entitled to participate in terms of gender, race, ethnicity and class. Participation can be defined as “the action of taking part in something”, but excludes these potential barriers which can prevent an athlete from reaching their sporting potential. This essay will explore some of these barriers which effect participation in sport, with links to how those barriers have had an influence on the development of participation and opportunities.
Coaches and athletic personnel are examples of ethical behavior in their personal and professional lives. They must have a clear perspective for their role and responsibility toward the organization, the team, and the athlete. Therefore, it is important to give consideration to the relationship between personal and professional responsibility; and also to whether there are limitations to loyalty to the organization or team.
The sports industry is growing and with more and more minorities going the sports route in majoring in sport management, sport marketing, sport broadcast journalism, etc. there needs to be more positions filled by minorities. Frisby (2005) notes, With our focus on organizations and managerial activities, sport management scholars are well positioned to question how structures and practices related to policy development, marketing, the media and technology, accounting, human resource management, and so on perpetuate and contribute to the bad and ugly sides of sport. As mentioned people who go through sport programs are well over qualified to fill the position so there needs to be more research into why these positions aren’t filled by overqualified
The Issues in Sports Discussion was about diversity within sport leadership. The overall message of the discussion was primarily that women and minorities should be able to obtain leadership positions in the sport industry. By taking a positive approach towards diversity, a sports organization can improve its effectiveness and associating with people from a variety of cultures can positively influence the company. Diversity provides an advantage to the organization by contributing a unique perspective that groups of the same race or gender might not discover. In my career I plan on taking my talents into being a coach. Sports coaches help people participate in sports to work towards achieving their full potential. They work with them closely to improve performance. Whatever the context, coaching involves developing the participant’s physical and psychological fitness and providing the best possible practical conditions in order to maximize their performance. Coaches must also be aware of their ethical and legal obligations to their clients. Many coaches combine coaching with others, often full-time jobs, many sports coaches work part-time and unpaid, offering their coaching services on a purely voluntary
Normative ethics functions well in the sporting environment because it can help settle more disputes when the values of the participants coach, players, and parents enter into a conflict. While many sporting organizations are practical withy policies, actions, produces, and strategies in place they cannot cover every actions. Thus by applying the normative ethics written and unwritten codes of conduct can be put in place. Normative ethics is used only as a guideline to propose, identify and great a system for the enhancement of sports. Under the normative ethics several principle exists. Based on my original pillars of ethics being Integrity, Privacy, Harm and caution I would have to identify Social benefit as an action I use more than originally

How might sports managers successfully market their organization and/or a new product: NIKE Inc. 1. introduction: As the United States ranked 11th largest industry of sports industry, (Milano, 2011) described the "Gross Domestic Sports Products (GDSP)". A significant increase in the sports industry is made a comparison with the figure to 1987 data. In 1987, sports industry was 23rd largest industry with $50.2billion business activity (sandomir,1998; Pitts & Stotlar,1996). It should be considered, however, the accurate calculation of any industrial sector business activity is difficult (Meek, 1997; Pitts & Stotlar, 1996). Firstly, must define what is included in the specific industry. Pitts and Stotlar (2007, p69) in the definition of sports marketing as the production, pricing, promotion and sports business products to meet consumer needs or desires and the realization of the distribution of the design and implementation of activities of the company 's goals. Therefore, focus on sports marketing in combination to consumers and companies. However, sport marketing must give priority to meet the needs of consumers. Finally, this must be the focus of the company 's overall. In a free market economy, consumers have more choices. Along with the customer the result of selection, estimation of new business 90% is not successful (Pride and Ferrell, 2008). The surviving mechanism is most likely to be in the best at meet those needs and desires of consumers. In order to
