The American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) was founded in 1967 as a parent helping organization. ASDC has evolved into a national, independent, and non-profit organization. The primary goal of this organization is to provide support, encouragement, education, and most importantly provide information regarding families who are raising children who are of deaf or hard-of-hearing. The ASDC ideally wants to be able to give deaf and hard-of-hearing children the equality that they deserve.
