I have been a part of JROTC for the past four years of my high school career. During my time in the program, I gained more self-confidence and was able to venture out of my comfort zone, which allowed me to join numerous clubs and organizations throughout my high school career. The clubs include the Chess Club for one year, the Environmental Club and AFJROTC Honor Guard team for two years, and Science Olympiad all my four years of high school. The organizations include the National Technical Honor Society for two years and National Honor Society for two years as well and voted Vice President.
More than 2,000 qualified young adults apply to participate in the annual Naval Academy Summer Seminar but only 850 of said applicants are selected to participate in each of the sessions. Knowing that the summer seminar deals with STEM and the Navy, I quickly applied myself so I can be one of those 850 selected young adults and participate in a science, technology, engineering, and math-loving atmosphere. I am interested in attending the Naval Academy Summer Stem program because I live and breathe science and engineering. I want to continue my path to higher education through the Naval Academy one day.

Ever since I was a young kid I have always been interested in movies. My grandma, who was full of the wise the life experience left, always knew about my interest in movies. She feed my vain for the art. Even though her religion, she professed Adventist of seven-day religion, didn't let her go to the cinema, she always found the way to took me to the cinema. We used to sit in the darkness room, with our faces illuminated from the reflection of the light which rebooted from the screen, both absorbs in the plot of the movie which made us laughed or cried. After the movie, while we went back to her home, she started to talk about the movie. She had a particular point of view where the main story
Throughout high school I have been involved in numerous academic programs tat opened many opportunities for me.
My father is going to retire in some years and my mother is a house wife. They both have invested in their house heavily therefore these reasons might affect my family’s ability to fund my college tuition.
My interest for the Attorney Advisor position with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) arises from my longstanding commitment to constantly improve myself. I have always enjoyed legal research, writing, and the complexities of intellectual property. I have no doubt that my enthusiasm to research, my eagerness to learn, and my strong ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, accurately, and quickly, will make me an invaluable asset to the USPTO. I believe these traits combined with my unique skillset, developed as a result of experiences working for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (Diamondbacks), Nike Inc. (Nike), and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Liability Management Department (AG Office)
The foreclosure crisis is the second major financial dilemma of the twenty-first century. To solve this, the roots of the problem need to be dug up and exposed followed by replanting with an appropriately improved regulatory system to help build stronger roots for the future. It seems that the free market system can't be free anymore given its intertwining roots extend way beyond domestic to international financial systems. There are two fundamental causes to the latest credit crisis: 1) poor quality securitized mortgages and 2) insufficient underwriting for credit poor borrowers. Secondary (downstream) problems making the financial crisis more complex include underemployment and business failures. Many banks,
The WISE student summer research placement would be a tremendous help for me in finding out not only what type of science I enjoy to study the most but the program would also provide many beneficial opportunities for me. For example the program would provide beneficial learning experiences, the chance to meet new people with the potential to gain new lifelong friends, and new skills that will benefit me and potentially others further down the road in a workplace. The most beneficial opportunity the WISE student summer research program would provide for me is the unforgettable experience and fun of learning new things.
The reason I have graced you with my letter is to convince you why I am worthy of a scholarship and to tell you about my goals in life.
I feel that attending the Summer Institute will help me decide if I really want to go into healthcare and possibly what speciality I’m most interested in. It will also help me get a more in depth experience of what medical school is
It is an honor to have been considered a recipient of the One Future Coachella Valley Scholarship.
It was not until my senior high school year when I had my first exposure to Medicine. I joined the Better Life Institute, a volunteer group that organizes a weekly medical convoys to provide medical service for underprivileged villages in Egypt, where I regularly attended the clinics and also assisted with the logistics and administrative duties. I also became a member of a team that supports and arranges home visits to cancer patients. This was an eye opening experience that made me realized the impact of emotional and spiritual well-being on patients’ prognosis, and I discovered how the simplest of well-chosen words can provide a priceless comfort to a suffering patient. This experience motivated me beyond any expectation and I realized there was no better way for me to pursue science and achieve satisfaction than through Medicine.
Next, science is the light that keeps us out of the dark ages. If science did not evolve, we would have many unanswered questions related to real life, die with terrifying diseases, and starve without hygiene and nutritious food. Because science has an impact on every aspect of our lives, I am eager in exploring this immense field of study and improve society through healthcare. When it comes to STEM field and school, on top of maintaining good GPA and grades, I devote my time well to my extracurriculars. Starting 7th grade, my passion for opting the medical field has strengthened due to my influential pediatrician. This enhanced drastically as I started gaining many volunteering and shadowing experiences throughout high school. As a freshman, I started taking advantage of majority of the opportunities around me like joining HOSA (Health Occupations Students Of America), Steminism, NHS, UPMC Passavant, Senior Living Facility. Covering a wide range of areas in healthcare-- volunteering/shadowing a geriatrician, pharmacist, nurse, surgeon and more-- solidified my aspiration. However, when I think about the medical field, clinical is not the only side. Research plays a huge role in medicine because without this, we would have inadequate knowledge about science and also would not have access to all these sophisticated treatments. Bayer School Scholars Program is a great opportunity for students like me to
Service to others has always been important to me. I'm a product of Jesuit education going back to high school, so I grew up with an understanding of the value of serving others, and the positive impact it can have on the lives we touch. In my experience, I have always been happiest when I have tended to another's needs ahead of my own. I have no better example of this than in my work with the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Campus Recreation Program through volunteering.
