ISIS like many terrorist groups kidnaps many foreigners and held them captive for a time period. They are held hostages why they negotiate with their foreign country a ransom, but compare to other groups they kill them. They don’t trade them nor put them in the black market. When you think of why not trade them to profit or put them out in the blackmarket to acquire more funds, think of how they tactic. Tactics for ISIS are means for them to acquire control, fear and respect from others. If they kill hostages like they have done through decapitations then they are inserting fear in the eye of the enemy. Fear is one of the main tactics terrorist groups want to acquire and this way you know what happens if you don’t listen to their demands. The biggest example of this tactic was the execution of American photojournalist James Foley, who died on August 19, 2014. ISIS demanded money from America for the release of Foley, but since U.S didn’t agree to pay any …show more content…
It terrorizes people to think this can happen to them. Foley and other are example of how ISIS doesn’t care about keeping you alive. As a hostage, your a toy that they can make money either when your alive or dead. Dead bodies were being used by ISIS to profit into more ransom. Even when your dead, ISIS has the tactic to profit from the fact families would like their family members body to give them a proper funeral. Foley, the American journalist killed body was being offered to the family for 1 million dollars as stated by (Otis, 2014). This shows anyone that ISIS has the capability for profit a lot even when hostages are killed their bodies are still profit. This goes with my whole idea that appeasement does not work especially with rational thinkers like them. If you give in and the outcome may not be what you wanted. The idea they are capable of negotiating a corpse should give the perspective you can not negotiate with them in any particular

However,Isis will kill anyone not on their side. They have brutally murdered countless Christians ( “Isis trail of terror”). November 2012 an american journalist James Foley was held hostage and later killed on camera by the terror group.( Isis trail of terror”). Isis had another hostage, 26 year old Kayla Mueller, she died because america didn't stop attacking Isis.( Isis trail of terror”). Isis is a group who will fight till there's nothing left to fight
I believe terrorism comes from hate as well; I also believe it is something that is taught as a justified act. This kind of hatred in most cases comes from many generations and is passed down the line. It is similar to racism because it stem from hatred as well. When individuals or groups of people can do violent harmful things against innocent people to me it is defined as hate. When you think about the different attacks against the United States you can clearly see the level of hatred they have for the American people. They are willing and ready to sacrifice their own lives in the name of terrorism. (111 words)
The combination of regular military forces, unconventional forces such as terrorist or insurgent groups, and criminal elements working together towards a common goal is what makes up a hybrid threat. In today’s current political and economic arenas very few of the United States’ enemies could mount an effective conventional military campaign against us. This has caused many of our enemies to turn towards using hybrid threats and tactics in order to further their attacks. The United States must in turn use hybrid tactics in order to defeat its enemies.
It’s very clear that ISIS want’s power, but at what cost? Their five minutes of fame won’t make up for the lives of the soldiers and civilians that they kill, the emotional scarring of Iraqi children, and destroyed buildings. On August 19, 2014, ISIS announced the execution of James Foley, an American journalist who was working in Iraq. The group recorded his execution and posted it on the internet, where it went viral and was reviewed by
As I am getting older and the week goes by I'm realizing more that Sunday's are the best days. It is the only day that I get to relax and spend time with my amazing son. I often like to take him to places that would not only be educational for the both of us but at the same enhances our bond. In the midst of going to school full time and working full time I tend to minimize quality time I spend with him. But I always make sure that he knows family comes first and sacrifices are made for the better. Since Sundays are dedicated to quality time, I tend to call it ‘Son-day’. This particular Son-day we went to the Brooklyn
In recent months, the United States accompanied with several allies have been forging a fight against ISIS in Iraqi and Syria. The allied troops have been extremely successful in wreaking havoc against the enemy–killing ISIS fighters, reducing ISIS cash flow, and causing the group to abandon a large portion of their controlled areas. There are approximately 5,000 American troops at any given time in these territories and President Obama wants and intends to deploy more. The United States should not send more troops to fight against ISIS because, we were just involved in the Iraqi War, home soil will be left vulnerable, and intervening doesn't always lead to benefit.
ISIS began over two decades back as an idea from a Jordanian named Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. He was a hooligan when he touched base in Afghanistan needing to be a mujahedeen in 1989, past the point where it is possible to battle the Soviet Union. He did a reversal home to Jordan, and remained a periphery figure in the brutal jihal for a great part of the next decade. He came back to Afghanistan to set up a preparation camp for terrorists and met Osama canister Laden in 1999, yet picked not to join al-Qaeda. The fall of the Taliban in 2001 constrained Zarqawi to escape to Iraq. There nobody saw him until the Bush organization utilized it as confirmation that al-Qaeda were banding together with Saddam Hussein. As a general rule, however, Zarqawi was a free specialists, hoping to make his own particular fear association.
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, most commonly referred to as ISIS or ISIL , is a group formed as a political, religious and military leader over all Muslims around the world. While having one leader, the organization aims to unite all Muslims under a single person. While many followers of ISIS accept the single leader and the violent practices, others have opposing viewpoints. Despite the fact that Islam is an Arabic word which directly translates into the English word of peace, ISIS is being held responsible for many of the human rights violations as well as war crimes that take place in the middle east and around the rest of the world. The United Nations along with the European Union have officially claimed ISIS and the followers a terrorist group. With such a continuously growing hype of ISIS around the world, what effect does it have on the young seventeen year old Muslim girl who just wants to live a peaceful life?
Most bomb threats are received by telephone, with some received by note, letter or e-mail. All bomb threats should be taken seriously and handled as though an explosive were in the building. Although most bomb threats are hoaxes designed to cause alarm and disruption, “no call or threat should be disregarded.” Prince Williams County Police Department has the responsibility to respond to suspected bomb threats that may occur in the county. It is the goal of the police department that we protect our citizens and emergency response personnel from injury.
Once a hostage becomes famous, ISIS has more reason to behead the person and get more attention. There are a lot of hostages in the Middle East and many families working hard behind the scenes to save them. One of the worst things about this is that they never really know when their loved one will be the victim. The fact that the murder can come at any time, even years after capture, makes it even more frightening. The fact that the murder happens suddenly is part of ISIS’ strategy of being ruthless and

I often like to take him to places that would not only be educational for the us both but enhances our bond as well. In the mist of going to school and working full time, spending time with him is compromised by life and day-to-day responsibilites. Despite this, I always ensure to instill in him that family comes first and sacrifices must always be made for the better. This particular Sunday we went to the Brooklyn Musuem. This one eye catching sculpture stopped us in our tracks. I knew that this work of art embodied the core of my being. It illustrated my love
Isis use their usual way to terrorize his opponents when they beheaded Khaled al-asaad and hanged his mutilated body on a column in the center of Palmyra. A shocking photo, showed the headless body of al-asaad, had been transformed over social media, and attached with a list of five charges explained why Isis have a right to kill al-asaad:
Al-Qaeda and its leaders, Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri are frequently popular world news subjects. (Piszkiewicz, 2003, p. iii) The world seems to want to be constantly aware of the goings on of these people and their organization. There is no secret to the desired need for this information. As most people know Al-Qaeda is a significant and ongoing threat to the world, with regard to terrorist activities and continued fundamentalist extremism with regard to jihad, or what these extremists see as a holy war against the rest of the world, but mostly the Western world. This work will begin with a short introduction to the threat that Al-Qaeda poses to the world as a way to develop a full profile of the organization,
