Munchausen!!!
If you know someone with munchausen syndrome, you know how bad the disease is. If you don't know someone with the disease, I will tell you all about it. the disease isn't very big or popular anymore, because not a lot of women don't have this disease anymore. I have done a lot of research, and most of the diagnoses were done in the 1900s, but the disease is still around some places. This disease is mostly diagnosed to women, because most men don't feel the need to these kind of things. Personally, I don't know anyone with the disease, but I have been doing research for a while and things do get really serious. The disease is when women, that have children, don't feel enough love from their kids so they poison their kids food, and when kids are sick, what do they usually want the most their momma. Then the kids want their mother and the mothers feel loved more that usual. Women with munchausen are putting the lives of innocent children in danger, some are even going to the extreme and taking their lives.

Some experts believe that it isn't just the

Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome is a very dangerous disorder. This disorder came about to identify a parent who intentionally causes harm to their child. This disorder was named after Baron von Munchausen who discovered it. Symptoms are hard to identify because many do not believe a parent could harm their own child. The main symptom is that the child only becomes sick or is harmed in the presence of their parent. The parent tries to maintain a relationship with the doctor of the child because this disorder is based on the parents need for attention from the doctor, other parents, and their child. MBPS is caused by a need for attention and sympathy of the parent for “helping” their child. The only treatment known for this disorder is extensive psychotherapy. Munchausen by Proxy is a very rare behavioral disorder. “This form of abuse claims the life of nine percent of children that fall victim to it.”

A sudden episode of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger or apparent cause. A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. Feelings of severe despondency and dejection. Panic Disorder. Anxiety. Depression. These mental illnesses affect millions around the world. They can trigger physical illnesses, hallucinations, and even death. Nevertheless across the globe, there is yet to be recognition for how serious these mental illnesses are. Within Australia, one in five citizens will experience some form of a mental illness during their lifetime. That means that there are people in this room that have or will experience one of the diseases. However, it’s likely they won’t be recognised as physically being ill.
The portrayal of people being sickly creatures has been used in Hollywood film for a very long time. This has been in the endeavor of putting the viewing public in the shoes of the patient and entertain them with over the top portrayals of disease. For patients that are women in particular this has been achieved by defining them along the lines of vague terms such as them being over emotional and unstable. Despite the advancement experienced by the society, women have not yet fully seen the goal of equality realize fruition. With the expansion of the psychiatric and psychological terminologies, there now additional ways via which mental illness can be ascribed as a weakness for men and women portrayed in Hollywood film. This is best
The main character’s mental issues are diminished simply because she is a woman. Men see them as highly emotional and irrational and dismiss their feelings based on that. Her husband thinks just because he is a doctor and she is just his wife he knows
Women abuse is a problem that plagues society in numerous ways. It is a problem that lacks proper definition in today’s society, and as a result has many misconceptions regarding the subject. It has been a problem that has been going on for centuries and has only recently been discussed as inappropriate and a disgusting act against women. The stereotypical family of a mother, father and children, loving, caring and happy with each other is always depicted on television. Real life relationships and families range from happy and loving to extreme dysfunctional in today’s society. Not every relationship and family experiences the “haven in the heartless world” (Momirov, 2011), many experience more heartless world within the family. This paper will focus on women abuse within the family. The purpose of this paper is to explore women that are victims of domestic abuse and the social structures that create the social problem women will face for the rest of their lives. This paper argues that neoliberal state policies create the social conditions that force abused women to stay in abusive relationships. This paper covers women abuse through three main parts. Part one of this essay will

The reason why I choose this psychological disorder was because it was brand new topic to me. I was very interested in the fact of not knowing anything about this topic previously so I was able to go into this research with a blank slate. After researching what this syndrome was, my main topic of interest was that Munchausen Syndrome is a largely unexplained phenomena, as it is both quite rare and difficult to diagnose. It is also practically impossible to treat, as most people will emerge with negative results. Most of the
In our daily lives the theme of peer pressure still occurs. Shown in an article, “Did a Rare Form of Child Abuse Make a Daughter Murder Her Mom?” by Harriet Sokmensuer, the whole point of the article is to describe why the daughter killed her mother. The mother, Dee Dee Blanchard suffered from Munchausen by proxy, which is a disease where someone exaggerates or induces illness in a child for attention
Imagine your own family member constantly manipulating you into thinking you were going to be forever young. Now imagine that person telling every individual that you cannot care for yourself nor will ever get better. To be completely honest, that is a scary thought, not having any control over your own body and believing your caretaker that you are mentally incapacitate to care for yourself. The documentary I chose to watch and write about is Mommy Dead & Dearest, this documentary was released 11 March 2017 and the director is Erin Lee Carr. In this documentary, we see Dee Dee and Gypsy’s narrative who brings Munchausen Syndrome by proxy — a form of child abuse that involves a caretaker making up an illness for
Headache = Tumor. Cough = Tuberculosis. Mole = Skin Cancer. Such is the thought process of a hypochodriac. As defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual-IV (DSM-IV), hypochondriasis is an unrealistic interpretation of one's bodily sensations as abnormal, leading to the fear and belief that one has a serious disease (1). This preoccupation with having a serious medical condition is one of the somatoform disorders and may be considered more as a symptom than a disease. In fact, hypochondriacal symptoms often appear as a part of other mental disorders, including forms of depression or schizophrenia (2). For this reason, a close investigation of hypochondriacal behavior is necessary to
