It is a known fact today that, there is fall, degradation, lost of value in the nation. There is increase in level of immorality, crime, self centeredness e.t.c which slows down the pace of national development.
Many people attributed this to our system of education as people say ‘No nation can grow above the level of her education’. This is to bring to light the significant of the correlation between the three key concepts ‘Education’ ‘Teacher’ and ‘National Development’.

The division between primary and secondary education is somewhat arbitrary, but it generally occurs at about eleven or twelve years of age. Some education systems have separate middle schools, with the transition to the final stage of secondary education taking place at around the age of fourteen. Schools that provide primary education, are mostly referred to as primary schools. Primary schools in these countries are often subdivided into infant schools and junior school.
Secondary school
In most contemporary educational systems of the world, secondary education comprises the formal education that occurs during adolescence. It is characterized by transition from the typically compulsory, comprehensive primary education for minors, to the optional, selective tertiary, "post-secondary", or "higher" education (e.g. university, vocational school) for adults. Depending on the system, schools for this period, or a part of it, may be called secondary or high schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, middle schools, colleges, or vocational schools. The exact meaning of any of these terms varies from one system to another. The exact boundary between primary and secondary education also varies from country to country and even within them, but is generally around the seventh to the tenth year of schooling. Students are required to go to primary schools so they can at least have a background of education. Primary schools are made up of six academic school year from ages six to twelve. The system is divided into three cycles of two years each. The first cycle is from ages six to seven, the second cycle is ages eight to nine, and the final third cycle is from ages ten to eleven. The school system focused on personalized and tailored classes depending on the level of each child.
Education at its best is a process of teaching people to explore ideas about themselves and the world in which they live, to ask questions about the experience called “living” and to embrace ambiguity, to notice the unusual without fear and to look upon the ordinary with new eyes.
At the age of 11yrs, a child will move on to a secondary school, until they reach the age of 16 or 18 yrs. There are several different types of secondary education a child can attend. It may be that again their local school is selected for convenience, or parents may select a grammar school, this type of school, will have entry requirements and are usually single sex, girls or boys schools. Education is the gradual process of meaning making and acquiring “knowledge.” One views the world through his or her own set of lenses or filters, from his or her own perspective, and the mind of the learner attempts to connect new information to existing schema to make new connections. These constructions and connections in the brain become "knowledge." Therefore, knowledge when people begin to understand facts or information through experience and/or learning. We begin to realize, through knowledge, details that we learn in isolation are actually interconnected. Education can be intentional or unintentional and can occur everywhere and at any time. Education is greatly influenced by affective factors and social context. It has both internal and external value, both to a person and to all of society.
Education is equal to deliberate and think analytically upon a knowledge, one must periodically deliberate their level of knowledge and comprehension so as to protect it from degenerate and through this, it helps to gain a better understanding on many subjects and concepts.
What is education? Two words probably jump out at most people: learning and school. Yet, how much students are actually learning must be analyzed because passing through is not the same thing as experiencing. In the same case learning is the same thing as receiving information and moving on. Even so, schools are blindly addressing the two as the same thing because secondary institutions have compressed education into numbers that signify intelligence. However, when education and school become two entities, children are not able to reach their full potential which then leads to them being unhappy in life as an adult.
Education is the process of learning, whether it occurs at a specific building designed for that very reason, such as a school or an institution that provides opportunities for higher learning (college), or even somewhere as, conveniently accessible as home. Us humans are always learning and therefore being educated. Robert M. Hutchins, said, “The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.” The principal education we are provided with, is what we gradually increase, improve on throughout our lives. Learning can also be done through experience, which is correlated with the idea that hands on learning stays in the memory longer and is more effective.
Education is the very foundation in which we as individuals grow, and formulate the knowledge we gain through life into meaningful ways of adapting to the world.
Many people endure three years of middle school and four years of high school. It is an eventful time for children between 11 to 18 years old. During the adolescent years there are hormonal changes, environmental changes and emotional developmental gains. Middle school is the beginning of transitioning towards independence under the constant eye of adults. During high school they are challenged with real-world challenges that help them transition into adulthood. The behaviors of these individuals change as the factors change around them. For every person, the experience of high school or middle school may be different. Either way, both have the same goal of wanting the student to succeed and evolve. Even so, the similarities and differences vary. Middle school and high school are alike in the areas of receiving an education, socializing with others, and having teachers while different in areas of maturity, difficulty in work, and independence.
The four main types of mainstream state schools that are funded by local authority are known as maintained schools. All children in England between the ages of five and 16 are entitled to a free place at a state school. Most go to state schools. Children normally start primary school at the age of four or five, but many schools now have a reception year for four year olds. Education can be defined as a learning process in which a student and a teacher are involved. The work of the teacher is to pass on the message to the student while the student understands and applies what has been taught. It is also considered as a process of developing skills, knowledge and character of an individual. Education, whether formal or informal, has a function both to the individual and the society, these functions are either manifest or latent. There is a distinction between the manifest and latent functions in that the manifest functions are those that are intended whereas the latter are the unintended functions (Douglas, 2003).
Education is about teaching and learning for improving skills and knowledge. Education also means helping people to do, to learn and encouraging them to think what they learn. Education can give people knowledge of society, country, the world and many things else. From children to adult are supposed to have knowledge through education.
