We rely on technology for everything in our lives today. It is hard for us to be more than ten steps away from our phone. Dependence on technology is even evident in Fahrenheit 451. In the novel, the TV is everything to some people. It becomes their friend their family and even their life. They even have technology that butters their toast and medical procedures. We use technology everyday whether it is our phone, laptop, or ipod. We use them every single day all day long. If something was not to work for a single day our society would crash with the absence of technology.

Technology is constantly evolving it comes with pros and cons. Some may feel that the advancement in technology is doing more harm to the way we think than bringing us a positive outcome to the way a human brain works. For me technology has allowed has proven to bring more positive than negative. Technology has allowed human kind to accomplish the impossible, and resources such as google has opened minds to view, and think differently. By having resources such as magazines, newspapers, journals, and books online for us to read without any hassle.

Technology is everywhere. People have become so infatuated with technology that they forget there was a time where we didn’t have any. A lot of the technology we see today such as: TVs, computers, and cellphones, came about during the 1900s starting off as boxes you constantly had to fool with to make work. As time progressed people sought ways to make them better and better. Today, technology has developed into one of the most prominent things. Technology influences the way we do things. For example, back in the day we would write letters to communicate back and forth with each other; as opposed to today where we can communicate via text message, phone call, or direct messaging. It also rules out a lot of things. For example, instead of reading a newspaper you could view the news via television or cellphone.

After many decades elapsed, nowadays, the quality of human life is growing better. Human beings always search and invent new things in order to meet their needs. There are not only changes in the way that people dress and behave, but also there are many changes in forms of entertainment. In the past when technologies had not developed much, people usually entertained by getting together to dance, sing, or listen to music; many of them went to a small bar in the community to drink or play cards. Today is completely distinct from the time in the past. With innovative science and modern technologies, the entertainment has become easier and more convenient for all people. Everyone can relax and amuse themselves wherever and whenever with modern electronic devices such as cell phone, tablet, LCD TV, laptop, etc. Therefore, technology has become part of our life. Many people say that we could not do anything without technology; it helps people to make work easier. In fact, technology not only impacts our daily lives, but it also has a strong influence on the criminal justice system. If law enforcement officers apply technology to their investigations, it will assist to make the investigations less difficult and more efficient. So, what has the technology already helped to make an improvement in the criminal justice field, and how has it impacted on the law enforcement?

Technology seems to be the topic for debate these days. Is it making a positive or negative impact on humans? Another question, are computers smarter than us humans is the real question? In the reading, Is Google making us Stupid? by Nicholas Carr this author seems to states that the internet/technology affects many different areas in our lives and not positively, such as: cognition, reading skills, etc. with many reasonable explanations to support his theory. Yes, technology has made our lives easier and convenient, but are we becoming spoiled with computers? If that is even possible.

The author Sherry Turkle argues the effects of computers on human beings in, How Computers Change the Way We Think. Without a doubt, computers make our lives easier, so easy that we are accustomed to turning to computers to think for us. Computers are tools to support knowledge and should not be interrupted as a replacement for an education or social interaction.

The clock is ticking, the work is piling up, and with only a few hours to go before sunrise you stop and realize that you have just read some fifty pages and absorbed almost nothing. Some would agree when I say that this situation epitomizes one of the common problems of the Net Generation. With the help of the Internet, not only has every aspect of life gotten faster and more efficient, but it has changed the way people process information and perform tasks. In addition, while technology does have its benefits, the extensive use of the internet is affecting the way people think.

Technology is very essential in our everyday lives because it makes work and day-to-day activities easier. With technology, people can travel to different places and communicate with people that are not close by. Technology is used to help advance our daily lives. Having technology is a privilege but when you abuse the privilege you bring forth a dreadful outcome.

It is amazing that technology has changed the world around us, within just two decades. Some of the technologies include instantaneous communication, realistic looking games, information at the tip of you fingers, and personal computers. These are some of technologies that affect our lives so much. Without them, we could not call it the modern age of man kind.

Technology has made a big difference in our society such as communication, work, education, and entertainment in good and bad ways. Some people say that technology has made life better with the internet, cell phones and other devices. While others say technology has been making life worse because people are becoming lazy and replace their lives with technology every day. Technology surrounds almost everyone in modern society and it affects our lives in many ways.

Personally, I could not live without technology. I use it for almost everything I do. Some examples of technology in my life are cars, desktops, and of course, my phone. I use my phone a lot, some might use words like “religiously” or “addictively”. These people are not wrong, but there are reasons. My phone keeps notes, sets reminders, and lets people tell me that I am late for something. I use it for Boy Scouts, marching band, school, and recreational use. It has helped shape me, admittedly, into a bit of a procrastinator, however, it has also helped to keep me punctual and efficient. On the flip side, my phone can make me a bit anti-social. It lets me ignore conversations I should pay attention to, snooze alarms I should wake up to, and cheat on things I should.

As far back as I can remember my family and I have taken advantage of technology. The types of technology have changed over the years, along with our usage and dependence on it. Technology is a fundamental part of our lifestyle, including both work and play. What is interesting is that we also have many friends who use very little technology in their day-to-day living. This drastic difference makes one wonder how necessary the technology really is, and whether or not our dependence on it is healthy in the long run. It is really easy to just get caught up in using technology without thinking about the pros and cons.

Since the beginning of time, the human population has strived to live simpler lives. We have spent generations, creating innovations within technology to ensure our lives would always be more simplistic than those who lived centuries before us. People now have the ability to update their Facebook status’, map the human genome to target strands of DNA that can be disastrous to one’s health, send out amber alerts nationwide, and create plants that are resistant to pesticides. Many fields, such as medicine, law enforcement, and entertainment have benefited greatly from advancements in technology which has inevitably changed the way society operates. However, with the abundance of technology available, society has developed an unhealthy relationship where we now rely on technology too heavily. Technology has rendered our minds incapable of the ability to play, communicate, and live our lives in the moment, despite its positive additions to our society.

Over the years technology has been growing fast. Knowing human use communication by texting and calling. It’s careless for humans because not seeing each other could cause them to have problems. Instead of going out together and be active they just waste time on their phones. Humans putting a stop of when they have access to their phones so that they can spend more time with friends.
