What is a teen activist? A teen activist is a teenager who wants to help people or animals for a cause. What I think about all teen activists is that they all fight for what they believe in. They go to extensive lengths to help people to help us. They don't do this because they have to they do it because they want to do it. They don't care that the odds were against them or they have very little chance of succeeding. They do what they want and the do it right.They are like the voice of the people fighting up against poverty and all the other struggles in the world. Most activists go through a lot like Malala but I won't get to deep into that yet. They all have the courage to do what they do.

A teen activist is a young person or teen that wants to change the world for the positive. They are courageous and willing to take risks. Teen activists are passionate about what they are trying to make right or who they are helping. And lastly, activists are resilient or able to accept failure and learn from them, and try again.

The first way that a teen can become an activist is by going through the struggle themselves. They experienced how horrible it was themselves and they wanted to make sure other people didn’t endure what they had to endure. One example of that is Malala Yousafzai. She was just a girl trying to get an education, but when the Taliban bombed her school, rather than shrinking down in fear and letting the Taliban order them around, Malala stood up for what she

Teen activists are kids who not only want to make a difference, but are brave enough to try. Teen activists are kids that do whatever they can to help the world. They are compassionate for those less fortunate, they befriend those who are in need of help, and they try to have more people to come and help. Teen activists all have one more thing in common to become a teen activist, either the activist has had personal struggles, seen someone or something have personal struggles, or they read an article.

Finally, the last activist: Malala yousafzai is one of the most bravest activist out of the two other activists that is listed above. It all started when the Taliban came to swat valley in 2004. They then showed the real power of terrorism in 2007. The people that are in swat valley have seen very bad days in life. Malala's story starts when she sees all of this madness and darkness in swat valley. She tries to get her voice on media channels, tv shows, websites and says to everyone that we need to fight against terrorism. Activists are people with a lot of passion and they like to take on challenges , also some get hurt in the process of helping. Then they work even harder and stand up for what is right. Also teen activists have a reason to do something good for others.Teen activists are challenged with physical / mental abuse and they stand up for it. Malala tried to get stopped by the Taliban. Iqbal was chained up to a wall making carpets. Also Alex Libby got bullied by boys at school and he still spoke out about it.

There many Activists you might even be one. In a different way then Malala. But today I will tell you about two particular teen activists Malala Yousafzai, and Erica Fernandes. These two young girls risked their lives for what they believe is right, one more then the other. I am going to be telling you about what they did, and what they changed to make the world a better place. But first you need to know who they are Malala lived in Pakistan were she was not supposed to go to school. Now she attends school in England. But she wants to move back to Pakistan. Erica Fernandes is a activist who works to raise awareness as to how youth can work with the government to help improve the environment.

Malala “fights” for school. According to the Jon Stewart video “Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head even then she still fought for school that proves she is brave”. She was afraid of losing school because learning is important so she stood up for it. She fought against the terrorist. And she was the only one to volunteer to write papers and books about the terrorists

Teen activists are people who fight for certain causes that will help impact the world in a good way. Teen activists have common characteristics such as their compassion for others and their bravery to stand up for what is right. What made teen activists think of others or the community? Some teen activists are inspired after having a personal struggle and others are inspired by a single moment. Teen activists also make great sacrifices to fight for what they think is right such as risking their lives. Teen activists are people who are compassionate for others and stand up for their cause by creating organizations or by forming teams.

Teen activists always have something that they are fighting for. Something that they believe in so strongly. One example of a teen activist is Malala Yousafzai. A group of terrorists called the Taliban came to Swat Valley, Pakistan where she lived. The Taliban believed that women should not be educated. This is significant because, they would bomb schools who allowed girls, but, still Malala continued speaking out about women's education. During an interview with Jon Stewart, Malala said “why don’t we stand up for our rights?” She really believed in something and she was willing to fight for it. Another teen activist is Faye Carey. She is against animal abandonment. She has a Facebook page where she advertises puppies that have ended up in the pound, on her page and tries to give them a new home. Although, she has not done anything really big yet, she is inspiring others around the world and still making a big difference. Alex Lin is also a teen activist. He wants to stop people from throwing out so much toxic waste. He wants to prevent people from throwing away lots of old electronic waste. Alex Lin will take all of this waste and fix the computers.
