There are three aspects to every tennis racquet. The grip, the frame, and the strings. Just like these three parts make up a whole racquet, these three correspond to three major aspects of my life. The grip is the base that supports the rest of the racquet and allows it to work properly, the frame is the personality of the racquet and dictates how the racquet will behave, the strings are where all the action happens on the racquet. Having a racquet with just a frame and strings would be unusable without the handle at the bottom, just like I would not be the same person I am without my base backing me up. When I say base, I am talking about my family and friends who support me. They have been instrumental in my growth and maturation as I have grown up. My Mom has always been a great listener and has helped been there with me through all my problems, both important and insignificant. My Dad has given me the best pieces of advice I have gotten throughout my life and has kept me from veering off track when I need it. My friends cheer me up when I am feeling blue, and know what to say to make me …show more content…
It’s what makes each racquet unique. What makes me unique is my personality. I am a determined individual who gives everything his all. When I start something I make sure that I finish no matter how rough it gets. I am also a very passionate person. From my favorite sports teams, I am a big Boston sports fan, to more serious issues, I enjoy volunteering on a regular basis. Another large part of who I am is being a music fan. I often read articles and album reviews on websites like pitchfork on top of always having my headphones on. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of genres and many artists, but my favorite genre is hip hop and my favorite artist is Kanye West. Just like the frame of racquet determines how the racquet will play, my personality determines the kind of person I

Tennis has often been described as a full body sport. This was even noted in an article by How Stuff Works (Uttley, 2017): “Tennis is a sport that requires the cooperation of the whole body.” You use your legs for running, your arms for swinging your tennis racket, and your core for twisting, bending and straightening. The almost constant motion of the sport develops your muscles and makes them stronger. Better Health (Health, 2013) says that playing tennis can tone muscles, improve metabolism, lower resting heart rate, and increase reaction time. So, playing regularly can help in many ways.

Many sports are intense and competitive, which is why Heller-Chen chose tennis, as he fell in love with a less competitive sport. Heller-Chen enjoys the feeling of having control in the game. This little creation, where the racquet was a little bit larger, adding much more control of the racquet and ball, had gone so global that Head was now at the top of the global tennis racquet industry. “Prince was able to generate some of the highest profit margins in the industry because its rackets were protected by a patent. In addition to its aluminum racket, Prince was able to boost profit margins by introducing 108-inch rackets made of exotic materials like magnesium (selling for $115 in the early 1980s), graphite ($250), and high-strength boron ($450). By 1980 Prince was generating revenues at a rate of more than $30 million annually. Sales for 1981 topped $35 million before increasing 60 percent to nearly $57 million in 1982. In 1983, Prince's revenues stabilized some, rising 13 percent to about $64 million” (International Directory of Company Histories, 1996).
