Every minute, two to three people die from cancer (“Cancer Statistics); some do not even know they have the disease. The world is currently facing a terrible quandary by the name of cancer. This terrible disease has killed more than five million people since the year 1990 (“Cancer Statistics”). Terminal cancer is an inevitable death which can last between days and years. Although it is inherent that terminal cancer leads to death, the assistance of family and friends in addition to the positive mindset of the one with the disease will contribute to a good spending of the patient's allotment.
In result of this, “The American Cancer Society,” started by founder Gary M. Reedy has one major goal which is to inform, fight, and eliminate cancer. …show more content…

For example, relationships between family members may strengthen and also relationships between one and the patient. During this time, many stories of better times with the patient will be said and thoughts of how the patient impacted their lives for the good. This will result in shared memories that will brighten up not only the day but also the mood. When the time comes that cancer has won its battle, many things will seem to run in one's mind. Not only thoughts of grief and sadness, but also the thoughts of how much of an impact one has made in the life of the patient who had passed. When questioned about how he and his family supported her, he explained that he and his family spent as much time as the could with her and also since he was young, gave her an action figure to keep her company. In result, his mother was able to keep a positive outlook and,” always give a smile.” Although terminal cancer is troubling for both the family and the one who is fighting it, sticking together through it all is what is most important. Through good times and bad, family will always be there and will be in assistance if needed. It may become tiring sometimes to put up with this disease, but remembering what to fight for is what is most important.
