Three Ways to Treat Cancer The tears, stress and frustration of one receiving the conformation they have cancer. The heartbreaking news a patient never wants to hear. A feeling that is not quite explainable. The heart shattering announcement that numbs and sends feeling of hopelessness through the body. Several families and individuals go through the process of figuring out one has cancer, each and every day. Cancer is one of the major causes of death to the public each year. For years, the cure to this corruption has been researched and studied. To this date the cure for cancer is unknown, however treatments like chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery are very beneficial to many patients.
When people think of cancer, many automatically murmur negative things. For example, death, Chemotherapy, hair loss, and other symptoms of feeling fragile. What people do not know is that even though you can see the patient suffering physically, their family is also being affected as well. Being a daughter of a mother with Colon cancer has affected me emotionally, spiritually, and virtually.
For some reason I feel that if someone tells you they have cancer there is just that understanding and no explanation is needed. Since I love to explain so much, let me try to make this clear: If someone has a sickness that is going to be with them until the day they die, whether it is that sickness that is the cause of their death or something else, it remains a burden every day. Some days are better than others but it is still there insinuating itself in our bodies and waiting to strike again. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world. Seven point six million people die each year from cancer and four million people die prematurely. People who do have cancer die at a very young age, they die at the age of 30-69. Many people are infected with all sorts of different types of cancer like lung cancer, breast cancer, brain cancer, liver cancer and even more. You dont really know if you have cancer or not. If people are worried they have cancer then they tell their doctor about it. know one else can tell that you have cancer besides yourself and only you can notice the strange things that’s happening. When cancer starts to grow it pushes on nerves and nearby organs. By the cancer pushing on those it can cause signs and symptoms.
Cancer has one of the biggest effects on the patients mental health but also the patients loved ones and friends. It is one of the hardest things to get a grip on when the doctor tells someone that they have cancer and a fifty-fifty chance of making it. "The disease can bring many changes-in what people do and how they look, in how they feel and what they value" (Dakota 4). It makes people look at the world and their lives in a different way, valuing now what they took for granted and seeing the bigger picture in every scenario. It is something that no one can actually brace, even after the doctor tells them. Through it all though, the person must remain strong and optimistic because the cancer can affect the person's moods and in return affect the outcome of the person and the chances of their making it

In recent years, many scientists, doctors, researchers, and the general public have come to believe that the cure for cancer is being suppressed because of this lack of progress. The word automatically instills fear, confusion, denial, and leaves the individual questioning his or her beliefs wondering “Why me?”. It overpowers all previous commitments or opportunities seizing control over the customary quality of life.
