But 4 years later i'm a sophomore. But when I came to the tech center on that visit one program stood out tome the most. About midway though freshmen year I realized I was so close to finishing high school and I then knew that the tech center could be an option and I remember how much I liked the dental program, so I started doing some research and I started looking in colleges that have dental programs. Service is simply an act of helpful activity and the transferable skills that are gained from service illustrate the importance of being involved. By volunteering in my community and taking part in organizations that are centered on service, I am able to strengthen my understanding of my surroundings, and I am taught more compassion for others. Being involved presents unlimited opportunities to give back to others, and with the skills instilled by service, I am able to make a difference in the lives around me. Experience gained with service creates characteristics in a person that can shape the direction of my life, and I will value that in the future.
I am the oldest of four girls in a family of six and I will also be the first one in my family to go to college at Texas A&M University. I always thought that scholarships were just going to be bombarded on those who were in the top ten percent of their grade, but as I can see now, I was extremely wrong. It is an uphill battle to pay for college and that is something that I should have seen coming. I believe I need the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship to attend Texas A&M University because my parents may not be able to provide for my entire four years there.

Also health sciences is a topic that really interest me, learning about the human body and how we function is very fascinating. I want to become these things because I want to help others when they are hurt. I will be attending the schools that offer the best programs for my careers. I would want to attend a community college first to finish my general studies then transfer my credits to a University. I want to be fully educated in my careers I choose.
