The American Revolution: The Fight for American Independence

5th Period Abstract The purpose of this research paper is to do more than simply provide an accounting of the events of the American Revolution. Instead, I will provide a detail of how the French and Indian War impacted the revolution, and missteps by the British Empire led to the American fight for freedom. In doing so, you will come to understand how the American fight for independence would be a call to arms for not only colonists, but also for other territories controlled by monarchs the world over.
The American Revolution: The Fight for American Independence The British victory in the French and Indian War had a great impact on the British Empire. Moreover the war generated substantial resentment towards the colonists among English leaders, who were not satisfied with the financial and military help they had received from the colonists during the war. All these factors persuade the English that London should be the big power. The English leaders set in motion for London to be the main power over the colonies, these plans eventually led to the resentment of the American Revolution. The war had an equally profound but very different effect on the American colonists. First of all the Americans had realized that they could unite against a common foe.
