All businesses understand that they must use effective communication in order to do well as a business, without communication the business will be a mess and would not run successfully. Using communication allows the employees and offices to stay up to date with the businesses progress and what is currently happening. To use effective means of communication all employees would be in a way trained in order to understand communication and use the most effective means for it. This is done in advance to checking that communication is understood by the recipient.

The Purpose of this paper is to explain how communication between doctor and patient, nurses and patient and nurse to doctor is imperative to the patient care and outcome. To define, and discuss the seven principles of patient-clinician communication, and how, I apply three of them in my everyday clinical settings. In Addition, I will be discussing three methods of communication which can improve communication outcomes regarding patients and clinicians, along with given personal examples. Last of all, we will define and give an example of four ethical principles are applied in the patient-clinician along with explaining the importance of ethical communication and safety when it comes to my patients.

To understand how communication can improve within a traditional bureaucratic criminal justice system, one must understand the structure and how communication is dispersed within the respective criminal justice agencies. It is also important to realize that each agency or criminal justice organization has policy and procedures governing how communication is transmitted. Approaching the task of having to communicate with your customers to affectively resolve their problem can be a difficult task, therefore using various negotiation techniques in the process will be very important. Before anyone would contact a customer regarding their problem, you would always need to know what has to be achieved in the long run of the discussion, as you will effectively be working towards what’s best for their service whilst it being beneficial towards both customer and the organisation. Sometimes customers may need something improved on their service which is out of the ordinary, therefore it is my task to comprise and introduce other products or services that we have available to offer in order for their satisfaction and a positive customer experience. Listening carefully is one of the most crucial aspects of negotiation, as you must be able to offer new products and services whilst communicating with customers, which can be proven to be quite the task itself, therefore you would always have to be alert and listen very carefully to their needs in order to offer them the correct product or service for their need.

Humans act toward people, things, and events on the basis of the meanings they assign to them. Once people define a situation as real, it has very real consequences. Communications can break or make the administrators’ ability to direct and control the policies of the organization which they are overseeing. This type of communication can be classified as internal communication which encompasses the unofficial and official communication through channels such as memos, policies, guidelines and procedures (Quirke, 2012). In this case it is the official communication where the administrator has to ensure that information is passed to all involved parties

Technology has become very important, “...more than one thousand children between the ages of 4 and 18 find out how technology was impacting their relationships and their social and emotional lives” (Catherine Steiner-Adair EdD). Technology is advancing rapidly every single day, in hopes to make our society adapt better to a technology based future. Communication is the biggest factor that plays into our everyday jobs. Communicating verbally versus electronically both have the same intentions. This is to speak clearly, and say what needs to be said, relying strongly on reactions. Does this affect our society, when people rely more on electronic forms of communication, when they know miscommunications can be cleared just as fast verbally? The question stands for our society as a whole. If people rely vastly on electronic communication more everyday, does this change the way people communicate verbally? The answer is yes, electronic communication affects more people, than verbal communication does.

In conclusion, managing communication in the organisation is important so as to perform basic functions. Managers should be effective communicators with high levels of fluency and professionalism and must be aware of the communication cycle to achieve team goals. Effective communication within the workplace like in the company’s technical office keeps the team involved in the delivery of customer focus which increases commitment to the organisation and make for a better relationship and understanding within the team. An effective communicator understands the communication process using the appropriate communication channel such as verbal, non-verbal or written communication. The correct use of the process helps to uncover barriers and determine effective preventive steps to avoid those barriers. Furthermore, within the communication cycle, it is essential to get regular feedback, which also helps evaluate and improve the communication process which in turn can be used as a basis to develop personal development plans, identify communication strength and weaknesses
