Approaching the task of having to communicate with your customers to affectively resolve their problem can be a difficult task, therefore using various negotiation techniques in the process will be very important. Before anyone would contact a customer regarding their problem, you would always need to know what has to be achieved in the long run of the discussion, as you will effectively be working towards what’s best for their service whilst it being beneficial towards both customer and the organisation. Sometimes customers may need something improved on their service which is out of the ordinary, therefore it is my task to comprise and introduce other products or services that we have available to offer in order for their satisfaction and a positive customer experience. Listening carefully is one of the most crucial aspects of negotiation, as you must be able to offer new products and services whilst communicating with customers, which can be proven to be quite the task itself, therefore you would always have to be alert and listen very carefully to their needs in order to offer them the correct product or service for their need. …show more content…
This is a major concern as you are currently communicating with a customer who has a problem and will come across with a stressed attitude. Therefore being confident is a very effective method of communication as you are making them believe the service you ae offering is going to benefit them in the long run. It will be no good trying to offer your support to somebody with a low tone of voice and sounding nervous as this is not going to make your customer at
Explain and describe what parts of the interaction employed effective listening and speaking in the negotiation.
Therefore I included how I could sell him my product. Before I get into the negotiation I inquired beforehand. By collecting as much information before starting the negotiation, I could understand what was the needs and concerns of Sally Soprano. This knowledge makes it easier finding a mutually beneficial solution.
People from different backgrounds may use and/or interpret communication methods in different ways because every family has their own way of communicating together. For example: some children might hear or speak more than one language at home or they could hear others swearing. This can affect children’s communication and how they communicate as adults.
I believe the best way for Ron to effectively respond to what the client’s concerns are but before doing so, Ron will have to plan as well as prepare before meeting with the client (Johnston & Marshall, 2009). Before starting the negotiating process, Ron will need to identify what is important to the client, this includes determining goals, areas for trade as well as alternatives to the stated goals (Kelchner, 2018). Ron will have to be able to listen to what it is that the customer needs and if possible try to meet those same needs. The client knows that you will do whatever it is to keep them satisfied, so they may work with you to see if you are able to provide their needs. The next thing Ron will need to do is to say what he means, and
There are many forms of communication which can be used to meet the different needs of individual's and these may include one or more of the following:

There is an abundance of communication skill training in the marketplace. How can you choose the best communication technique for you? Effective communication methods consistently have certain underlying characteristics. Whether that is a conscious choice or not (I believe some programs touch on cornerstone principles by accident), basic principles matter. While we are all unique, we still manage to have our own style of communicating. The best communication skill training courses rise to the top when put to the test of: Does it Work?
Consequently, negotiation is a process that can be approached in many ways. No matter what strategy we choose, success lies in how well we prepared. The key to negotiating a beneficial outcome is the negotiators’ ability to consider all the elements of the situation carefully and to identify and think through the options. At the same time, negotiators must be able to keep events in perspective and be as fair and honest as circumstance allows. Because a common ground or interest has brought the parties to the negotiating table, a negotiator can benefit by trying to capitalize on this common
Chapter 5 brought a few things to my attention that I might have been aware of, but do not often taken in to consideration when dealing with individuals. Chapter 5 talks about unstable behaviors, which is basically described as the layers of people. We all have different moods when we are experiencing different things. I think this is really important because so many times we do not think about what an individual may be going through and automatically mark them as rude or mean due to the way in which they are acting. For an example, when a woman goes back to work after having a child and being on maternity leave everyone expects her to be back to normal. If she slips or falls behind in her work she is looked at as weak. People do not think about the fact that she has just undergone a big change in her life. She might be having sleepless nights, she might have had a traumatic birthing experience, her child might be ill, or she might be a single mother. We should be more sensitive to what might be going on in an individual’s life before judging them so harshly.
What was the course material that suggests that this particular communication behavior was an appropriate target for change? Be specific; apply material from the text, lecture, TCOs, and so forth.
The 'customer' hereon in was spoken to by different individuals from the gathering, enabling every part to give encourage knowledge into conceivable issues with a necessity, and propose increments or changes to the prerequisite or new sub-prerequisites to go about as a genuine client.Using all gathering individuals as the 'customer' enables every part to consider every conceivable road of a prerequisite and gives a greatly improved arrangement in general, viably going about as a pseudo chamber behind the façade of the customer. Each underlying necessity was then raised in the meeting and developed by discovering ambiguities and potential issues, which were then changed into assist useful and non-useful prerequisites to be recorded close by the current prerequisites where conceivable.
It is important to agree and commit to a strategy for communicating as a project team. Consider options. Having a communication strategy that people haven’t had an opportunity to agree on, or who aren’t aware of, will mean that communication won’t be effective.
Communication styles in negotiation are probably one of the most important skills or characteristics one will develop over a lifetime. From the point a human being begins to develop cognitive skills, the process of learning and understanding situations become more apparent. One will learn from a very young age the dynamics and characteristics of communication and its role in negotiation. To better understand the communication process, one must be able to recognize how they communicate, whether it is on an assertive, aggressive, passive, or passive-aggressive level of communication. The manner in which one conveys his/her message is critical, and the many methods in which they do it is
In whole of the animal kingdom, human being’s voice is unique and is the fundamental way of communication. The flexibility of sound production and the range of frequency allow people use their voice to express their emotions (Chatterjee, 2011). Ageing is the process for each human being to go through. As we all known, linguistic and acoustic characteristics of children’s voice and speech pattern are quite different from adults. Males and females’ voices are striking different in pitch. These differences are mainly caused by differences in the anatomical structures of the larynx, which change rapidly over time due to individual’s growth(Tielen, 1989; Kaur, 2015). Especially during childhood and adolescence, personal physiology changes quickly and their skill of co-articulation also increased (Kaur, 2015). The larynx and vocal folds do not entirely mature until late adolescence (Mwangi et al., 2009). In particular, noticeable change related to Hormone occurs among boys. For pre-pubertal boys and girls, their vocal apparatus is almost the same, which means their fundamental frequencies are entirely similar. During puberty, the changes in the larynx’s size and character causes voice cracking and characteristic pitch breaks. This grows more rapidly and extremely among boys, rather than girls, due to the inner secretion of sex hormones (Tielen, 1989). After this period, individual’s voice might be stable in several decades (Chatterjee, 2011). While, a significant
