Do you ever wonder where you came from or what man kind’s history is? Many scientists have an idea or theory that we came from the Big Bang, or that we evolved from apes. The Bible has been becoming a past time and no one wants to believe that it is our history. But how could you not believe it is our history? The Bible has THE OLDEST manuscripts ever been found, than any other religion. The Bible is the main focus of what shows the true history of how the world was created. I think that people start to doubt the existence of God, but there are many different pieces of evidence that provide answers that God is truly real and that the Bible provides accurate history of the creation of the world.
There are many prime examples of how the Bible

What is radiocarbon dating? “Radiocarbon dating (also referred to as carbon dating or carbon-14 dating) is a method for determining the age of an object containing organic material by using the properties of radiocarbon (14C), a radioactive isotope of carbon.” (Wikipedia) Scientists have determined the Age of the Earth to be four point five hundred and forty-three billion years old. But, Red platelets and hemoglobin have been found in a few unfossilized dinosaur bone. Be that as it may, these couldn't last more than a couple of thousand years—surely not the 65 million years from when evolutionists think the last dinosaur lived. Helium is filling the climate from radioactive rot, however very little is getting away. In any case, the aggregate sum in the environment is just 1/2000 of that normal if the air were truly billions of years old. This helium initially got away from rocks. This happens entirely quickly, yet so much helium is still in some stones that it couldn't have had sufficient energy to get away. Of course nothing can be proven for sure and many creation scientists know this. But many of the modern dating methods depend on unprovable
The Bible; I believe the Bible is the source of God's Word to all. It was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is where we should look to for the source of truth for our Christian beliefs and living. (2 Timothy 3:15–17) I also believe it is our truth without any error that while we as humans misread it the text and book itself is always right and true.( Joshua 1:8)
John Oswalt, in his book The Bible Among the Myths, presents his position to the reader that the bible is different and separate from other writings of the Ancient Near East. He asserts the Bible is both historically accurate and theologically sound. He makes the defense the Bible was divinely inspired and revealed to humanity and unique from other Ancient Near East literature. There was a time when the Bible, and the Israelite religion was different from its neighboring societies. But as times have changed, many people now lump the bible with other Ancient Near East myths.
Radiometric dating is a technique that utilizes unstable isotopes of natural elements. Because these unstable isotopes eventually decay at a constant and singular rate despite any environmental changes such as temperature or moisture changes. The unit used as measurement is a half-life which is the amount of time it takes 50% of the original isotope to decay into the next isotope or daughter isotope. Basically the amount of half-lives is multiplied by the length of the half-life to estimate the age of the object being tested. Every element used has a different half-life and that makes each useful for measuring certain types of material. Some have longer a half-life and thus a longer effective dating range. Potassium-argon dating is useful for dating material that is extremely old. This method is used by geologists to replace relative ages based on rock formation with absolute ages. The dates found from the radiometric technique are accurate because the sources, the individual radioactive isotopes, are unchanging and unaffected by environmental factors. This means that the radiometric data will always be precise unlike relative dating which relies on the theory of uniformitarianism, the theory that geological history is made up of endless and uniform
Radiometric dating is still being used today. Modern uranium-lead radioactive dating of meteorites and earth materials gives us today's estimate that the earth is about 4.5 billion years
Encyclopaedia Britannica also states that it is “proved to be a versatile technique of dating fossils and archaeological specimens from 500 to 50,000 years old” (1998). This method of age determination is dependent upon the decay of nitrogen and radiocarbon (Carbon-14) (Encyclopaediea Britannica, 1998; Opinions of Radiocarbon Dating, 2011). Carbon-14 is continually formed in nature by the interaction of neutrons with nitrogen-14 in the Earth’s atmosphere (Encyclopaediea Britannica, 1998; Opinions of Radiocarbon Dating, 2011) and all living things exchange the gas carbon-14 with the atmosphere surrounding them. The amount of carbon-14 exchanged into the living organism is perfectly balanced with its surroundings, but when an organism dies, they stop taking in the gas and that equilibrium is damaged. Because Carbon-14 slowly decays at a known rate called its “half-life” in a dead organism, scientists can figure out how long ago it had stopped exchanging carbon with its atmosphere. Thus, its age can be determined by measuring the amount of Carbon-14 in a sample (Hirst, 2017; Opinions of Radiocarbon Dating, 2017; Oxford Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit Research Laboratory for Archaeology, n.d.; Earthsky, 2017; Cram, 1993). With the utilisation of Radiocarbon Dating, scientists have been able to discover that Lindow
We have developed a lot of new technology to all us to do fairly accurate carbon dating; that alone has changed previously established theories. There is so much about our planet that we do not know or completely understand, and part of it is we do not have the ability to process the evidence we have correctly, or the evidence that was there, no longer exists because it has decomposed, or broken down into the the dirt and the soil.
Too much of the Christian worldview’s attention is focused on reconciling the Bible with science and archaeological discoveries when it should be focused on redemption. The theme of the Bible could be summarized into four categories Creation,
Courtney Knowles Relg 202-1: Vandergriff January 13, 2015 Tuesday/Thursday 2:00 pm--3:20 Is the Bible True? By William C. Placher Placher starts of his article with stating different claims that come with the Bible. The claims that we have heard our whole lives: what the Bible states is completely true – so we automatically believe it. It also states another claim is that everything stated in the Bible is true so we should be able to trust it. From my personal view I was brought up to believe these same things.
The Bible is the best-selling book of all time, and with good reason. For the stories written in it have changed the way many think and even believe when it comes to the power greater than this world. The Bible holds very specific opinions on things such as slavery, who humans should treat each other, and ultimately social justice. It has been one of the most important foundations for allowing social reform to occur in modern day history as well as the history of the whole world. However, it is forgotten in history class how prominent the ancient texts have changed the people. When looking at the history, it is discovered to be the strength of great people who have used its wisdom to bring about a change for those who could not do it on
According to Brad Peroney (2014), Carbon dating compares the amount of radioactive carbon to ordinary carbon in old objects to figure out how long ago something, or someone lived (Peroney, 2014). Carbon dating also called as radioactive carbon or carbon-14 dating is a method of age determination that depends upon the decay to nitrogen of radiocarbon (carbon-dating, 2015).Carbon-14 is continually formed in nature by the interaction of neutrons with nitrogen-14 in the
The Grand Canyon doesn’t have dinosaur bones sticking out because the rocks are older than dinosaurs. Also I personally believe helium plays an important role because rocks were different and always are changing due to the temperature change which changes almost everything for example it affects the formations of rocks and changes of finding dinosaur bones. Another important factor is that if we stopped and think about what caused dinosaurs to disappear we could conclude that asteroids eliminated all possible bones. As a matter of fact paleontologists think the process of all the causes the asteroid created the Earth to change its temperature by cooling it. Know that time has geologists have founded new ways to improve their techniques. Which
The bible is a book, used as a guide, and the vital proof of the faith of many
Ever since I was born I have been attending church. At this young age they teach you everything about the main stories or the main points of the Bible. At my church I learned stories from Noah’s ark to the story of Adam and Eve eating the apple from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. I learned about who was the narrator of the Bible and who created our earth. I never knew who were the people that printed out the pages or chose a specific font for the Bible. I didn’t have the background knowledge of what country or if it were the Romans that actually created the Bible. In this world there has been several theories that the Romans were the ones that wrote it or it was the English that wrote it and printed it out. After reading the book “How we got the Bible” by Neil R. Lightfoot, it gave me the right knowledge and understanding of who wrote the wonderful collection of books. Understanding how we got the Bible means that we have to know how it was written, on what it was written and who wrote it.
Libby developed the method of radiocarbon dating though his observation of how cosmic rays create radiocarbon. From outer space cosmic rays infiltrate earth’s atmosphere. In the upper atmosphere, these rays hit nitrogen and oxygen atoms in the air. (Renfrew, 1973). When the neutrons of these high–energy particles (mostly protons) hit nitrogen atoms, Carbon 14 (C-14) is created. The nitrogen atom (atomic number 7) has an atomic mass of 14 (with 7 protons and 7 neutrons). When the nucleus of the nitrogen is hit by the cosmic ray’s neutrons, the atomic number of the atom decreases by one. The make-up of its atomic mass changes, a proton is emitted and the neutrons are increased by one; therefore, the atomic mass number stays the same. Because the atomic number has changed, a new element, carbon 14, with atomic number 6, has an atomic mass of 14 (with 6 protons and 8 neutrons). (Bowman, 1990) The reaction is 14N + n = 14c + p (where n is a
Yes, I agree that the Bible is a divine-human book. God uses various authors and genres over an extended time period to bring His Word to humankind. Though this special book has several authors and is written over a considerable time span, the completed book is still one with a cohesive message regardless of the fact that it had multiple authors in different societal structures, political climates and time periods. God allowed these authors to capture the revelations that He gave through His Spirit and preserve it throughout the generations. Additionally, the Bible has not only been substantiated by ancient sources, modern day archeological findings, but also by the prophecies that have been fulfilled and are still being fulfilled today.
