There are career opportunities for people interested in the science, the health, and the aesthetics of human hair. Of the many career opportunities available, the three of focus for this paper will be a hair stylist in the film and/or fashion industry; a cosmetic scientist that specializes in hair; and the executive producer of an international hair show.

Cosmetology is a career people consider to be an easy job. A job that anyone can do. You spend hours studying for tests, quizzes, and State Boards. You work your hardest to learn every aspect of Cosmetology. You spend a total of 1,500 hours on your career--hours of hands-on activity and hours of staring at a book while you mindlessly try to take in all the information being taught. You have to be passionate about Cosmetology in order to make it. You have to be open to criticism and harsh judgement. You have to accept that practice makes perfect. Cosmetology is a challenging career, and most people think you cannot make money off of this career. With time and management, cosmetologists can make a profit through their profession.

Various managers at a salon will allow their employers to attend a course group that will keep the workers up-to-date on their techniques and styles (Heos 33). To be a cosmetologist one has to never terminate themselves from educating themselves, a hairstylist will be lifelong learners. They’ll stay on top of the latest styles and techniques (Heos 18). With all the skills to have, knowledge of all the benefits and current on styles comes with the education in cosmetology as well as surrendering to the laws.

Many people are inspired of being a professional hair stylist for many reasons, but in order to be a professional hair stylist, people would have to know the hair requirements. To make sure hair stylists are legal hair stylist, it is important to have a professional certifacte. Practcing is a very good and an important skill especially for some people who wants to be a professional hair stylist. By understanding the professional requirments , professional certifacations and training, it is evident that a professional hair stylist faces many challenges.
