Global warming is a gradual process of heating of earth’s surface and whole environment including oceans, ice caps, etc. The global rise in atmospheric temperature has been clearly noticed in the recent years. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in the past century there is increase in the earth’s surface average temperature by around 1.4-degree Fahrenheit. It has also been estimated that global temperature may increase by another 2 to 11.5 degrees F in the next century.

The world is changing to the point where humans are not able to put things back how they were years ago. Global warming is the concern of many people. Some people show they care by changing their lifestyles and adapting to the world for the temperatures to remain comfortable, and others are continuing to do what they do to make global warming expand. Due to the advancements of scientist, energy efficient technology, modernized power plants now burn less fossil fuels decreasing the emission of carbon dioxide. As a result, the effects of global warming are melting glaciers, effecting agriculture, disruption of habitats, and the spread of conditions favorable to pathogens.
