The ISFJ personality type reveals that I can often negatively overwork myself, and can easily take issues too personally. As stated in the ISFJ weaknesses section, Defenders “struggle silently to meet everyone's expectations, especially their own.” This happens a lot, and frequently comes in the way of sports. When I mentally think I did bad I will put myself down, which usually results in me giving up instead of pushing myself harder. The ISFJ results also showed that I keep my feelings enclosed, stating, “Defenders are very private and very sensitive, internalizing their feelings.” For me, this means I have difficulty coping with stressful situations and emotions. When it comes to being asked to hang out, or just simple yes, or no questions,
My personality type is the defender (ISFJ-T). My individual traits are 83% introverted, 63% observant, 77% feeling, 65% judging, and 66% turbulent. ISFJ-T stands for introverted, sensing, feeling, judging, and thinking. The defender personality tends to underplay their accomplishments and doesn’t like to take credit. Also, the defender personality type is easily taken advantage of due to their humbleness and kindness.
In relationships I tend to have a lot of emotions and intense feelings. I have a hard time trying to express these feelings to my spouse and tend to hold them in. When it comes to conflict I prefer to sweep things under the rug and pretend that they didn’t happen. I mostly do this to avoid more conflict with my spouse. This is a problem that most people with the ISFJ personality face. We do not express our feelings like we should until we are pushed to a limit and we explode in anger and say things that we should not say.
I have taken the Myers-Briggs test many times over the years and the results are always in the ISTJ (Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) area. I am the epitome of the Dragnet's Sgt. Joe Friday character; who is credited with the phrase “Just the facts, ma’am.”
the personality assessment and reflection assignment in the FYE 105 class helped to put my personality traits, and type into perspective with the given definitions and examples throughout the project. I discovered that my personality type was “the Defender”, and my top strengths are being loyal, hardworking, practical, and supportive. Conversely, my top weaknesses are taking things to personally, overloading myself, repressing my feelings, and being shy. With this information in my “mental toolbox” I will be able to focus on and utilize my strengths to ensure success while at the same time working to build up my weaknesses and reduce their impact. Having this information and consistently working to improve myself by utilizing what I have learned about my personality will allow me to align individual and professional goals in a productive way to achieve my career pathway, and personal
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.
Throughout the course of years, I tend to find out more about myself. Every day is challenging and full of many surprises. However, the most challenging thing in my life is working with other personalities. Only to find myself considered an ENFJ with a temperament of NF. Yes, I’m open to others and would put myself last, but I now understand how to truly connect.
After taking the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator test, I have discovered that I have the ISTJ, The Logistician, personality type. First, as with other personality types, there are many strengths and weaknesses of having the ISTJ personality. ISTJs write best when using facts and data and struggle when developing personal thoughts and opinions. When looking over my previous essays, I noticed the best ones are either research papers or essays involving little commentary on the subject. Therefore, the test is right in that my best works are written concretely. Next, ISTJs can write close to the deadline of an assignment. This is true because I write best when I have the pressure of the assignment being due soon; thus, I come up with fake deadlines
With my personality type being ISFP, I have learned that I am able to collect a large amount of information at one and that I am able to think before I speak. I would strongly agree with this personality type. I put other people’s feelings before my own. Another thing I have learned is that I should find a job where I am able to work with people and find a job were I will be able to make good use of my ability of being able to understand facts. My possible strengths would be to make being feel comfortable and valued.
Self assessments have been used widely in recent decades. The usefulness and truthfulness of these assessments depend entirely upon the user. Utilizing a self assessment tool for the betterment of self is the goal of this report. In this report, I have completed 3 different self assessments to analyze myself. The first assessment that will be discussed is the Jung Personality Test. The next one will be the Team Role Preference Survey followed by the Work Locus of Control Survey. Each of these surveys focuses on various behavioural and personality traits. The Jung Personality Test focuses on four principal physiological
According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, I am an ISFJ which stands for Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. I am the type of person that likes to ensure that every aspect of my life is planned accordingly, to eliminate any
I am ISFJ personality. That doesn’t seem to surprise me at all actually. I am very quiet so my job would be somewhere where I can be alone or in a small group which surprises me a lot because I do not like working alone at all. For my future career, it has me being a teacher, nurse, and social worker. I think this is accurate because I don’t totally wanna be a nurse but I do wanna work at the hospital. It says that I am bad at when I accomplish things I feel like I should be getting more which is also probably true cause I always want more and more. My strengths are my feelings and emotions. I don’t really disagree with anything besides that I like to work alone cause I would rather be with a group. I think this test is pretty accurate.
A personality profile identified me as having an INFJ personality type. This personality type indicates preferences in four key areas; Introversion over Extraversion, Intuition over Sensing, Feeling over Thinking, and Judging over Perceiving. This personality type paints a picture of an individual who primarily lives focused internally utilizing intuition for data gathering with a secondary mode that is external with decisions based on feelings and a strong personal value system. (personalitypage.com, 2015) An in depth examination of the four personality traits and the personality temperament explain how I, as an INFJ, interact within the world, perceive the world, and impact the world with my decisions. Needs work

Through her research and opinion, Ms. Frederick describes each letter within her type as well as discusses the validity of personality through personal and work examples. My personality type is ISFJ or “The Defender.” This profile is an excellent fit for my personality. In fact, as I read through the profile description, I thought the report was dead on in describing many of my personality traits: dedicated, altruistic, patient, shy, yet social. In regards to career path and workplace habits, 16 Personalities describes defenders as warm and service oriented individuals who do not often seek out management positions, but are frequently placed in them as others recognize their hard work and excellent people skills (20XX). In looking back at my professional career to date, I would certainly agree with this statement. Whether in past jobs or volunteer roles with the various boards and committees I have served
As an introverted person who perceives the world through my inner prism, I came to a conclusion that ISTJ might definitely be my type. People with an ISTJ personality type are often considered to be a bit on a cold-blooded side, but this is far from the truth. We are people of action, so words of empty compassion are rarely uttered. ISTJs feel deeply, and their feelings run strong, but they also conform to tradition and society norms, and keeping up a good front plays a
