Poor academics, school performance and low educational achievement is one of the strongest predictors of school failure and dropouts in the United States (jonasson, Blondal 2012). School failure is a process in which a student is doing poorly in academics and falling behind their peers as a result of personal issues and lack of primary obligations (Marshall JH. Grade repetition 2003). School dropouts overall in the United States increases each year. Evidence indicates that early engagement from parents and mentor’s guidance can minimize the progress of students doing poorly academically. The raise of students failing in school’s academics is very concerning for students and parents who expect to see their child success. The impact of failing school can bring lasting consequences to an individual, it increases consequences that can influence an entire waste of time in their life.
Individuals should benefit from attending school and not having to pay for attending as it is a personal success in helping to move toward a secondary school/college. In addition, failing academically is associated with negative effects and life outcomes. Not being able to have an occupational career with higher income and losing opportunities of building an own business place is a result of not considering education seriously. Ways to prevent students from failing in their academic year is providing additional support for students, evaluate teacher’s capability and generate time management
