I chose the Federal Bureau of Investigation for my career choice. According to the Mission and Priorities page on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s website, the purpose of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is to, “Protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.). The FBI ensures this specific purpose by completing the following: “protect civil rights, combat transnational/national criminal organizations and enterprises, combat major white-collar crime, and combat significant violent crime” (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.). As of right now, “the FBI has around 35,000 employs which includes special agents and support professionals” (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.).
To uphold the law through the investigation of violations of federal criminal law; to protect the U.S. from foreign intelligence and terrorist activities; to provide leadership and law enforcement assistance to federal, state, local, and international agencies; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the constitution of the U.S.: this is the mission of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The mission and values of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is up held with strong Constitutional values. Over the years since the FBI was created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. As a progressive during this time period Bonaparte applied his philosophy to forming the FBI with several corps of agents. His thought was that these men should have expertise and not political connections. With the U.S. Constitution based on “federalism” a national government with jurisdiction over matters that cross boundaries, such as interstate and foreign affairs.

Well their job description is all over the place considering the different branches and fields there are. For example there is the regular FBI agent then there’s the fact that you can be in fa special agency. Plus three are a lot of different agencies. Some of the things they do in these agencies include, “finger printing, lab services, public affairs, or manage”(FBI.gov). All of these different jobs are completely different considering that one day you would have to talk to a lot of people, and tell people what to do, and in the other you would have to sit behind a desk and never come in contact with anyone. This means that you would have to be flexible, and be lenient as to what you do on a daily bases. Another thing the fbi does is “detect and disrupt terrorist sleeper calls” (work.chron.com). This is another example of the diversity in the job. This also shows how important you are to the u.s , and how you will be put under pressure in your job. So if you don’t like being put in tough situations and being put under pressure, then this is probably not a suitable job for you. Another thing the FBI does is “work with lots of cyber-crime” (fbi.gov) This means that you’re going to need to be able to work , and properly work a computer . You would also need to have a liking to them considering they will be used all the time in the agency. Again if this is a problem then this job probably isn’t for
In the paper I’m going to write, I`ll be expressing the life of an FBI SWAT member, The parts I`ll be expressing the most in this paper is how do they connect with family, what is the mental aspect for them, what`s their physical health like and do they have a social life? Man doesn’t your mind just wonder when you hear the FBI? Well of course you will have so many questions like who are they? Why are they so important, how do you get to involved?
It’s 3am, in a dark, abandoned building. There’s dirty children’s clothes and toys as if they have been there for months. An investigation by the FBI has led authorities to believe that a man has taken 7 year old Jackson that has been missing for 37 hours and is currently hiding out. As the SWAT team gets in position and waits for the signal. The FBI agent gives them the signal and the SWAT team bombards the building and quickly puts the suspect on to the ground. The FBI agent takes a look around. They found nothing. They heard just a little noise and started looking in place that seems impossible. They started moving couches and chairs and there it was a secret a door. As they open the door and go down the stairs they see not only Jackson
Although, it may seem the FBI knows about the majority of criminalistics situations; they have been doing this job for many years and many years to come. John continues, “The FBI originated from a force of special agents created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt (2).” This organization has been serving justice since the Roosevelt years in the early 1900’s. Everything the FBI is capable of, could not be demonstrated with perfection if it was not for their structure. This structure consists of being part of the U.S. Department of Justice, which is headed by the United States Attorney General. The authority they are granted are to enforce the law on a federal level (Sections 533 and 534, Title 28 of the U.S. Code). These are the ways the Federal Bureau of Investigation works from the agencies missions, history of the agency and the impressive structure of the agency, which makes them one of the major aspects of the federal law to the United States of America. From the approval of President Roosevelt to establish the beginning of the FBI,
The early 1900’s gave rise to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Founded in appalling times filled with tension, the FBI would slowly transform American law to apprehend the nation’s most notorious criminals, and become one of the vital agencies that protect American sovereignty.

Public officers now work part time with private security officials in some nations to protect valuable assets. This has made the qualifications of private security officers to be competitive for them to have the qualifications that will enable them to carry out investigations that will require a lot of knowledge. The basic drug test and criminal is not enough when you are looking for someone who will be able to do research and try to come up with findings on why certain crimes took place and finding the perpetrators. Knowledge on criminal investigations will be of importance and the reason why companies hiring private investigators to help the local people who would like to use their services in trying to solve the mysteries in their lives look for people with excellent education qualifications (Li, 2008).
