Many years ago, astronomers never would have been able to know as much as they do today. With the many advancements in technology, we are now able to retrieve information about the solar system, the galaxies around us, and many more things. As of now, there has been tons of new discoveries all due to the Hubble Telescope. This telescope has done amazing things for astronomers. It has introduced new planets, stars, and many unknown things. The Hubble Telescope has made amazing discoveries and has many more to find. There are four main topics. The first topic will be about the astronomer Edwin Hubble. The second topic is about the telescope itself like when it was built, how, and how it works. The third topic will be about the telescope's discoveries and the final topic will be the implications of those discoveries. All these topics show the importance of the Hubble Telescope. NASA then tried to figure out how to continue their plans. After the explosion it was hard for them to send the telescope into space. It was about four years later before they finally sent the telescope into space. When they got the telescope into space they found something wrong with the telescope. They had placed the primary mirror incorrectly causing the images to come out blurry. According to NASA’s article “About The Hubble Space Telescope”, It was just slightly the wrong shape, causing the light that bounced off the center of the mirror to focus in a different place than the light bouncing off the edge. The tiny flaw about 1/50th the thickness of a sheet of paper was enough to distort the view. Fortunately the telescope had been built with interchangeable parts. So the astronomers were able to fix it and continue using the telescope to collect
