against the thoughts and finally producing a more balanced thought in the end. This lead to Carlos being more open to putting up with the light-headedness to see if the medication would be beneficial.
The behavioral techniques Dr. Walden uses to promote a decrease in Carlos’ symptoms are positive reinforcement (validation), behavioral rehearsals (e.g. encouraging Carlos to test his skills with producing a balanced thought), exposure (e.g. continuing to do activities even when light-headedness occurred) and activity scheduling (e.g. re-attempt leaving for work every morning by 8:00am and continuing to read to his kids for 15 minutes every night). Dr. Walden validates the results of Carlos’ previous behavioral experiment of reading to his

The activity scheduling, specifically reading to his kids, brought about more positive reinforcement and belief challenging. Carlos could read to his kids with a “clear head” and thus proved to himself that he could continue doing activities he used to do without suffering a nervous breakdown or undue stress. Additionally, these activities may even cause him pleasure and further future repetition. By leaving work by 8:00am every morning, which Carlos could do, he found a maladaptive behavior and noted it to the psychologist: “He could do it, but had learned that it was important not get caught up in what he termed a ‘stall mode’ in the morning”. Carlos could further note the “stall mode” occurring in other aspects of behaviors and cognitions and even offered a solution for it. This outcome is allowing Carlos to take a more active role in the therapy and really contribute in the collaborative empiricism with his psychologist. Additionally, this is fueling an adaptive belief that Carlos is a well-functioning individual who can identify and provide solutions for his problems. Carlos’ thoughts, behaviors, and emotions all heavily influence one another. In that session, Carlos was shown that his thoughts of “I won’t be able to function with light-headedness” influences his feelings, specifically becoming upset at that thought. His behavior was the influenced because he did not go into work due to the light-headedness he was

The objective of this report was to analyze Vivint-Smart Home Solutions’ performance in terms of organisational culture, management and leadership styles and motivation and how organizations have been affected by them. In this report, we identified that Vivint has an association of Hierarchy and Market organisational culture, relationship-oriented and task-oriented leadership styles and servant leadership style. Moreover, it demonstrated that Vivint has intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. These resulted in successful and unsuccessful practices of Vivint based on the Undercover Boss TV series based on three aspects which have been mentioned above. In addition, this report critiqued the Undercover Boss method for discovering the problems within an organisation and recommended other processes for uncovering issues. The results showed that organisational culture, management and leadership styles as well as motivation played significant roles in Vivint’s performance. Recommendations have been made to improve the unsuccessful practices of Vivint such as training managers to be empathic problem solver, examining and updating the working condition regularly, bonus for employees who give feedback voluntarily on management processes and offering fund to employees who are in need of support.
Smiley, a buyer from Carrefour Fashions, entered the store of a rival firm, Boulevard Boutique. The reason for his visit was to find out about the latest lines that Boulevard was carrying. Once Smiley entered the store he was recognized by Maldini, the store manager of Boulevard, who immediately called the store detective and told him to keep an eye on Smiley. Maldini then called the police, notifying them that he had a shoplifter in the store. Smiley never tried to leave, believing that Rocco, the store detective, would not permit him to do so. Once the police took Smiley to the station he explained the situation and was released.
According to the CMSA (Case Management Society of America) and several others organizations that case management alone means that it is a collective system that helps the patient and their family needs through the communication, available resources of promoted quality, and cost-effective outcomes.
For this case study I am going to discuss 3 health promotions, the 3 health promotions I will be discussing are; obesity, exercise and smoking. All 3 of these health promotions are from a patient whose care I was involved with for a number of weeks. I have gained full consent from the patient and their relatives. In relation to the Data Protection Act 1998 (Legislation.gov.uk, 1988)

The population that was used were individuals that were sixty-five years of age or older. These individuals were described to display restlessness, call-out, and physical aggression as their behavior. When conducting the study, the method and procedure of that were executed was the staff doing a five-day assessment of the individuals’ behavior to identify their responsive behaviors and documenting it. Then the families were asked to complete assessment to know more about the individuals’ history, likes, dislikes to better judge which item from the therapeutic activity kit was right for the individuals. And the facility had a list of items that they had and kept a record of the amount of each item that came and went. If the individual was not interested in an item, they were shown the item later. Duration of this Therapeutic Activity Kit (TAK) was for two weeks daily for the therapy and two weeks for the behavior

Answer: In our judgement, PepsiCo did not have a moral obligation to divest itself of all its Burmese assets. The reason being:
In the past, the booming economy had allowed for year to year increase in their sales because people had larger discretionary incomes. But due to the recession, smaller independent retailers had to markdown their items in order to stay in business because designer outlet stores are getting more traffic; so will Harry Rosen follow in suit? Or in order to maintain the integrity of the quality products they offer, will they continue their higher pricing and settle for a lower market share?
However the psychodynamic model fails to take into consideration the effects of the environment as does the medical model both are concerned with the internal workings and defects. The Psychodynamic model has had a lot of opposition as it is difficult to define and research, as processes like the id, ego and superego operate on an unconscious level and therefore there is no real way of knowing for certain if they are indeed happening. Most of the evidence provided by this model has been individual case studies which in itself makes it difficult to generalise.
A case study is a specific instance that is frequently designed to illustrate a more general principle (Nisbet and Watt, 1984). Hitchock and Hughes (1995) further suggest that the case study approach is particularly valuable when the researcher has little control over evens. Case studies strives to portray ‘what it like’ to be a particular situation, to catch up reality and ‘thick description’ (Geertz, 1973) of participants’ lives experiences of, thoughts about and feelings for a situation. They involve looking at a case or phenomenon in its real-life context, usually employing many types of data (Robson, 2002). It is important in case studies for events and situations to be allowed to speak for themselves, rather than to be largely interpreted, evaluated or judged by the researcher. In this respect the case study is akin to the television documentary. Case studies can make theoretical statements, but, like other forms of research and human sciences, these must be supported by the evidence presented.
In reading the first article Coach Knight: The Will to Win, I found the article found Coach Knight to be very offensive and mean to his players. Coach Knight did not display good leadership skills. According to the article, Coach Knight’s drive and passion for excellence was not always received as well as his record of wins and losses Snook, Per low, Delacey, 2005).
