What happened: In tis event there were two parts, the first part is when Jace and Tasha go to see Lucille Horstbueller the daughter of deceased Evart Horstbueller a waiter at the Café the night of the murder. So basically what happened was Jace and Tasha were stuck at a dead end and then Tasha remembered that Evart Horstbueller would always get picked up by his daughter at the end of shifts. If he saw anything that night Tasha and Jace are hoping he told her so they can get a new lead. When Jace and Tasha arrive to her house she mistakes them for piano students for her next class then she invites them into her house. So when Jace and Tasha get settled in her house and they start telling her that they and not actually piano students and they are here to see if she knows anything about the murder of Tasha’s mother.Just like that Lucille started getting ancy and told Jace and Tasha to please leave her house now and don’t come back. So Jace and Tasha did just that they left her house and sat in Jace’s car to see if she did anything suspicious, after about an hour of waiting they saw her get in her car and drive away. Jace tried to keep up but with stop lights and traffic they weren 't able to all they saw was Lucille drove to a farm land looking area. Who was involved: There were three characters involved in this scene the first on being Jace, Jace’s role was to be the backup for Tasha when she went into the house making sure Lucille didn 't suspect anything. He was also the
When it comes down to a film or television series that is known as a popular hit, most people may consider something along the lines of a comedy or drama. No one, in my opinion, gives much thought into viewing a film such as a documentary. A person may say or hear the word ‘documentary’ and particular stereotypical views such as elderly-people-sitting-around-on-a-Sunday-afternoon-with-nothing- better-to-do, or the history channel perhaps come to mind. Not many individuals give documentaries a chance, but I would encourage the viewing of the Academy award-winning documentary, Murder on a Sunday Morning, also known as Un Coupable Ideal, directed by the French-film maker Jean-Xavier de Lestrade.
Natasha has been feeling like Hayley and Jenny don’t want to be friends anymore, so she goes back to Becca. Together, Natasha and Becca try to find out how she got in the river. Later on, everyone was at play practice. Tasha wasn’t feeling good so she sat out. Becca’s best friend Hannah stepped in her place. When Tasha went to go move the overhead light, it came crashing down over Hannah. It killed her. Both the police and the girls had decided that Hayley and Jenny had led Tasha into the river and did something to the light for it to fall. The two girls were sent to prison and counseling for murder and attempted murder. After that, everything was going fine until Becca started to get a little suspicious. She asked the police if she could look over all the evidence again. She then came to the conclusion that Natasha had done all of it. She had thrown herself into the river and framed Hayley and Jenny, and she loosened the light so that it would fall. The police did not believe her. One night, Becca and Tasha went out into the woods. Becca was going to try and get her to confess. Natasha did end up confessing, but then she
The definition of a locked-room mystery is “a subgenre of detective fiction in which a crime—almost always murder—is committed under apparently impossible circumstances. The crime in question typically involves a crime scene that no intruder could have entered or left.” Then the question becomes how could there have been a crime in a room, which an intruder did not enter or leave? The solutions are quite frankly shocking. The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Invisible Man are two perfect stories that depict locked-room mysteries, and how locked-room mysteries can be solved.
The film “Murder on a Sunday Morning” is a documentary on the murder of Mary Ann Stephens. This murder took place on May 7, 2000, in Jacksonville, Florida. Mary Anne Stephens was at the Ramada hotel with her husband when a dark male wearing a dark shirt, shorts, and a flat brim hat approached her and demanded for her purse. Within 5 seconds she was shot in the face by the bridge of her nose and killed. It was later that day hat Brenton Butler was stopped by police and identified by husband of Mary Anne Stephens. Brenton Butler was taken into custody where he remained for the next six months facing charges of murder in the first degree and armed robbery. Through evidence such as the clothes Brenton was wearing on the day of the murder, an alibi of going to blockbuster to hand in an application, and lack of forensic testing, Brenton was found not guilty in the case of Florida v. Brenton Leonard Butler after the jury convened for forty-five minutes on the twenty-first of November in 2000. The Jacksonville grand jury also decided not to file criminal charged against the three officers. After the case on March 12, 2001 the forensics department retrieved the purse to process all parts of it to find fingerprints matching to Juan Curtis who admitted to shooting Mary Ann Stephens. The Butler family planed to sue the sheriffs officers in an $8.5 million civil rights lawsuit.
For decades there had been people who were racist and others that felt better because of their skin color. In Truman Capote’s book In Cold Blood these characteristics are captured; however, since its publishing ideals have changed. Some believed that two killers were not given a truly fair trial. Furthermore there was a fight between the system and if the killers should be sentenced to death. This book although effective with style could have used fewer details.
Many people say the documentation of the murder of the Clutter family is Truman Capote’s best work. It started out as an article for The New Yorker, and evolved into the non-fiction novel; the first of its kind. Capote traveled to Kansas with friend Harper Lee to research the killings. In the course of six years bringing this narrative together, Capote began taking drugs and drinking heavily due to the dark nature of the book. Truman Capote tells the true story of a family murdered in In Cold Blood, through character analysis and symbolism to prove nature is a stronger force than nature in shaping a person’s character.
The Jack the Ripper Murders happened in the East End of London in 1888 and, although the Whitechapel Murderer was only a threat to a small section of the community in a small part of London, the murders had a huge impact on society as a whole.
Plot is defined as, "the authors arrangement of incidents in a story it is the organizing principle that controls the controls the order of events (Meyer,64)." The element of plot is heavily relied on in the short story, "The Killings" by Andre Dubus. The plot which is completely made inside the imagination of an author (Meyer,64), gives the audience important insight to people, places, and events in the story (Meyer,64) . "The Killings" provides a somewhat conventional plot pattern, where the character is confronted with a problem and is then led into a climax, which late leads to the resolution of the story (Meyer,65). The conventional plot is easy to follow and serves as a basis for movies and other
Murder on a Sunday Morning is about an African American boy who was wrongly convicted of murder. He was only fifteen years old when his life changed forever. While first watching the documentary, it seems to the audience that Brenton Butler, the convicted boy, is guilty. Mr. Stephens, husband of the victim, Ann Stephens, claims that Butler came over, tried to take Anna Stephens’ purse, and then before she could comply, he raised his gun and shot her in the face. Sadly, Mr. Stephens was the only eye-witness, which is a major red flag, as he is connected to the victim. After being forced by the detective, Butler confesses. Once defense attorney, Patrick McGuinness is involved, he has Butler tell the court of his innocence and thus beings the criminal proceedings for Brenton Butler.
On November 27th, 1976 Mr. Adams’ car ran out of fuel and he was forced to walk to the nearest gas station (Radelet, 2011). Shortly after this Mr. Adams was given a ride by local teenager David Ray Harris, who was driving a stolen vehicle. The two then spent the day together, even going to see a drive in movie. That night Mr. Adams returned to a motel where he was staying. Mr. Harris, now alone, was stopped by Officer Wood and his Partner Teresa Turko shortly after midnight. Officer Wood was shot and killed by Harris, who sped off too quickly for Officer Turko to get a plate number or a good look at the shooter. Directly after this Mr. Harris drove home and for the next few days, bragged to his friends that he offed a pig. Police questioned Harris upon learning of these statements. Harris however, feigned innocence, stating that he did not kill a cop and that he was just trying to impress his friends. Mr. Harris unfortunately pointed the finger at a hitchhiker that he had picked up, Mr. Adams. Police took Adams in for questioning, where he denied everything, but he did detail the events of the previous day. Mr. Adams was informed by the police that he had failed a lie detection test and that Harris had passed, but Adams still held that he was innocent. At this time the only actual evidence implicating Adams in the crime is the testimony that Harris gave to the police.
“Youngsters kill -- that's been drilled into the national consciousness by a succession of school shootings.” (Sachs, 1) Children are capable of many things, and those who kill should receive a multitude of consequences. However, bystanders who witness this murder should not be faced with any charges and should not have to take the blame. Lord of the Flies is a symbolic novel written by William Golding about a group of boys who crash land onto an island, and become stranded with no adults. As they inhabit the island, two groups form; Ralph and Piggy’s tribe versus Jack and Roger’s tribe.

Literate Arts are Replaced and so Our Personal Thoughts What might the literate arts be good for? In Miller’s writing “The Dark Night of the Soul” he opens with fatalities and questions to educators, such as: Who is to blame for the shootings? Is it because teachers are just passing on information to the students without having them understand the questions, think about them and connect the information with a real world problems? Are literate arts important?
A serial killer is a person who kills a number of people. They act in a series of 5 or more murders with a break period between each murder. Serial killers can go for months and years before they are usually caught. The victim is most likely the same for every killer- a prostitute or a hitchhiker -someone who, if they were to go missing would probably not be noticed (cite). Their victims may also have the same or similar attributes in gender, age, race or general look. Serial killers also stick by their modus operandi closely but may change it with when needed.
