The Nuclear Warhead
We’re all going to die, just kidding it would take 20,500 nuclear warheads to destroy the world. But on a good note the world only has 15,000 nuclear warheads. Some people say that the nuclear warhead is one of the worst inventions in the world just because a lot of countries and continents have nuclear warheads. In my opinion, the nuclear warhead is the single best nuclear weapon that was ever created and the way it has impacted society. To begin with, to me the nuclear warhead has helped society by helping our secerty if the nuclear warhead was never invented we world proboly still be in wwII. Were lucky to have the nuclear warhead because if we didn’t the history of battle could of changed a lot over the past the
Furthermore, without the use of nuclear weapons, the war would have continued and more lives would have been lost. The atomic bomb results were grotesque and horrible, causing many deaths and injuries, and they should not be used unless absolutely necessary, but in this case, it was necessary to stop a war that would have continued inevitably. The United States had to use it to terminate WW2. Condonement of nuclear weapons is foolish, but if used, they can be advantageous in the right situations.
Of course the creation of the nuclear bomb was a watershed event of World War II in which more that 60 million people died. The United States thought that with the creation of the bomb and having such a weapon, they would no longer have to get involved in wars and would have peace. But the creations of the nuclear weapon led to other results. Nuclear power stations were being created that were able to give cheap energy and allowed progress. But, nuclear power stations were also very dangerous. In 1986 in the USSR, there was an accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Due to this accident, a lot of people became sick from the radiation and that radiation was very bad for the environment and everything living around that area. But even due to the dangers, people cannot let go of nuclear energy.
A nuclear weapon is a guidance to show who has the power of the countries but also prevent wars from happening It is highly reliable technology to use by going uninterrupted for more than a year even with dealing with difficult weather conditions . Nuclear weapons can be put in a variety of locations. The energy from a nuclear weapon can provide the foundations for other technologies by being the naval vessel and giving power to hundreds to thousands of homes. Nuclear warfare can be the best thing a nation could have power and can make it where that one nation can have the ultimate weapon . If a nation would want to go to war they can have the best advantage to win with these mass destruction weapons these things can have a negative impact by
The nuclear weapon greatly turned the tide of war when it caused the surrender of the Japanese empire in WW2 if it was not for the nuclear weapon then who know how long the war would have continued. There is some great controversy over the dropping of Little boy and Fat man, the 2 nuclear bombs were dropped on the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which killed a lot of people its estimated to be as high as 246,000 killed . Invention of nuclear power has the ability to be used for electricity purposes which we can thank WW2 for. Nuclear Energy emits less emissions then fossil fuels and it can be useful to solve our over reliance on them and solve our energy crisis. So the innovation of Nuclear power has greatly assisted the world today because of its better electricity uses and has greatly assisted the allies in WW2 by the surrender of Japan it has also put great fear over the world during the Cold war because of its devastating
The nuclear bomb has been a weapon in the United States arsenal since the end of world war two, where the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. From that day on the way wars were fought has changed forever. Soon after the bomb droppings on the two Japanese cities a race began between the United States and the Soviet Union named the cold war. The two major powers of the world at that time would threaten each other with nuclear war. The cold war ended because the Soviet Union could no longer economically support communism. Then latter on the United States invaded Iran under suspicion that they had nuclear weapons. Years later may people have wondered in nuclear weapons are necessity. Is it really beneficial to whatever nation that possess it, or is it a disaster just waiting to happen? Debates continue to this day on whether nuclear weapons should be against the Geneva Convention. Does the possibility of a nuclear winter with the annihilation of all mankind outweigh the reason for keeping them for protection and military dominance?
The atomic bomb results were grotesque and horrible, causing many deaths and injuries, and they should not be used unless absolutely necessary, but in this case, it was necessary to stop a war that would have continued inevitably. The United States had to use it to terminate WW2. Condonement of nuclear weapons is foolish, but if used, they can be advantageous in the right situations.
With the start of World War II the race for the first atomic bomb started. With Germany under Hitler’s reign, the Nazis began separating uranium to form the first atomic bomb to control the world. The push for the United States build the first atomic bomb began with this knowledge. With the help of several scientists the United States succeeded in building the atomic bomb first. Two atomic bombs were used; a uranium bomb on Hiroshima and a plutonium bomb on Nagasaki. Along with the many deaths were six stages of A-bomb illness which includes acute stages, atomic bomb trauma, A-bomb radiation illness, radiation blood injury at lethal dosage, blood injuries, and secondary radiation illness. Seven unhealed scars were also an effect of the atomic bombs that includes keloids, A-bomb cataracts, leukemia, cancers, chromosome changes, exposure in utero and microcephaly, and genetic surveys. Regulations and guidance were set in place soon after the bombings to protect the people of the world based on the information that was gathered and it has changed over the years based on the new information that was learned. With the use of the atomic bombs in World War II, a lot of pain and suffering was caused, but a great deal of information was learned to help protect future generations from radiation.
All these benefits of the atomic sound great, but in the opinion of a young man who could be sent off to war, it is scary thinking about bombs. The first dropping of the bomb was needed to help this country out, but now countries take bombs to a different level. They will use the bomb whenever they feel like they are needed to ensure they are a step ahead of other countries. Yes, bombs are needed to help if wars, but there are so many other solutions to end war. The first bomb drop also had many negative affects just like, “…other countries building their own bombs, thousands of innocent people died in Japan, so much money was sued in making the atomic bombs, caused even more anger with countries and can cause leaders to use bombs for war and other situations as well.” (Apecsecadmin, Cons of Dropping the Atomic Bomb, March 17th, 2014). Once again, bombs in general are just dangerous and should not be used. Even if you use bombs anything old cause it to go off and kill even more people and no one can control it. People need to end the atomic bomb, due to the amount of damage that it can do. Because even though it is one small thing in this world it can make a huge difference. It is important to think about all the children, adults and families that are involved with atomic
“ The atom bomb was no ‘great decision.’ It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness.” This quote was said by Harry S. Truman the first President who used an atomic bomb. The program that was able to create this monstrous power was known as the Manhattan Project. Creating this weapon was their main priority. The United States was in the midst of World War 2. The atomic bomb is considered to be the main factor that ended that war. It was a race against the multiple enemies of the United States, to be the first to acquire this power and use it when necessary. The Manhattan Project was kept strictly confidential and, created the foundation of the future and more powerful nuclear weapons to come.
On December 7, 1941, the Japanese launched a bombing attack on the American naval base in Pearl Harbor. This attack on the U.S. brought America into World War II. One Japanese general commented “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” (Yamamoto) Japan’s surprise attack on the U.S. created a much larger enemy than they intended. After the attack the U.S. embarked on a bloody and hard fought campaign through the pacific, which ultimately led to the Dropping of two atomic bombs and the surrender of Japan. Although many lives were lost the American decision to drop the bombs was justified because it ended the war quickly, saved american lives, and showed the world the power of the U.S. The Pacific War was a long and drawn out process that was moving very slowly for the United States, was struggling to pull off any major naval victory and from the mistakes made of the U.S. basically leaving the Japanese unattended while they were fighting the Germans in Europe. The American decision to drop the Bombs was justified because the U.S. wanted to end the war quickly and not to have a costly invasion of the Japanese Homeland as well as showing power to the world. Truman wanted to end the war as fast as he could because we had been in conflict for 4 years now and the American forces were very weary and tired of war, the U.S. dropped it for the other reason of
Nukes and splitting the atom have intrested and amazed scientist for decades, but is it the most important invention that had the biggest impact on humanity? Atomic bombs are a deadly weapon and most be used responsiblilly. Due to my research on nukes they have had a big impact on humanity and here’s why. Based on my research, it is obvious that the atomic bomb have had the biggest impact on humanity. This is because it’s the deadliest ever made from humans, triggered a worldwide nuclear war speculation, and both the United States of America and the Soviet Union became superpowers.
Even though nuclear power plants threaten the health and safety of many people, nuclear energy is being used in other ways as well, which may be even more dangerous. In 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, in order to end World War II. This event was the only time a nuclear weapon was used in the history. During the first two to four months, approximately 90,000 to 166,000 people died as a result. Wilfred Burchett quoted, “When you arrive in Hiroshima, you can look around and for 25 and perhaps 30 square miles you can neither see hardly a building nor a standing human. All of them are collapsed on the ground.” Yet, having seen the destructive effects of nuclear weapons, the United States currently still owns more than 7000 nuclear weapons, in which half of them could be launched in less than ten minutes. Russia is believed to be a holder of the same number or more nuclear weapons as well. The United States and Russia are the two countries with the most nuclear weapons, but in total, the number adds up to around 19,000 worldwide. Many people do not give a thought about this dangerous situation, since these weapons are
Nuclear weapons are one of, if not the most dangerous weapons in the world today and they are one of the biggest issues the world faces at this current moment. They have the capability of destroying entire cities and then some that could result in millions of deaths within seconds. Radiation from the blasts would kill even more people throughout years to come. They were first used in 1945 at the end of World War II, when the United States dropped Little Boy and Fat Man in Hiroshima and Nagasaki to ‘save’ the lives of American soldiers. Since then, a nuclear arms race was born and it’s becoming more of a concern as time moves forward. Albert Einstein, who was the creator of the nuclear bomb once said “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” Countries should not have access to nuclear weapons because it destroys the environment, there is a possibility of a nuclear war that will end in mass destruction of the world, and countries could save both revenue and resources.
A single nuclear warhead, if detonated on a large city, could kill millions of people, with the effects persisting for decades.
The Atomic bomb was developed in the early 1940’s as Nazi Germany and the American and allied scientists raced to create the first ever atomic bomb. Still, even today there has only ever been two atomic bombs used during an attack, the Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. Both atomic bombs are what pushed to the end of World War II however, it was at the cost of many innocent lives. The atomic bomb had ended one war but started the “Atomic Age” which would create fear and desperation across many different nations. The creation and development of the atomic bomb were unnecessary because from the past and current world events it has shown that it only lead to fear, destruction, and war, not peace.
