Working thesis: Propaganda is a tool that distorts the truth by selectively presenting fates to encourage emotional response rather than rational facts, and persuade others to accept an agenda In my primary source journal elaborates about the recruitment posters of the world war one. This historical propaganda poster was used to invoke the emotions of the mases of people and persuade them to join the war effort. Reading this article shows us how propaganda cripples our ability to make a reasonable decision regarding our political, economic and social lives. To this day, the spread of mass media like newspapers, TV, radio use soft propaganda system to influence our perception of certain issues. This type of system creates a problem on democracy and liberty .Understating how propaganda works will probably help us to defend our self’s from emotional reaction and come to a reasonable well informed decision. …show more content…
