People are not smart for trying to put laws on how many kids a family can have. The government would start with something this small, and make it grow larger until they have too much power. The government (THEY)would abuse the power. There are people dying almost as much as babies are being born. We are evening out the amount of people in this world. So i think that (so i think is not needed)People should continue having as many kids as they want. If we take away the privilege of having kids, we would probably start more violence and stress in the U.S. There are many different things that need restrictions, but laws on how many children a couple can have is not a good law.
Using a 2-child rule, we will eventually, yet very slowly, reduce the population. By reducing the population we will have more access to benefits for the entire population.
CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE 1. How many children do you plan to have? For citizens of China during the reign of the one-child policy from 1980 through 2015, the answer can only be one. Despite the controversial hate surrounding the city, the one-child policy is a beneficial measure due to its effectiveness in addressing overcrowding, improving the lives of urban singleton daughters, and facilitating a demographic transition. China's one-child policy protects citizens from death by dealing with overcrowding.
While china One child Policy was aimed for improvement, the policy has caused some serious social consequences. The New England Journal of Medicine 's article "The Effect of China 's One-Child Family Policy after 25 Years" discuss the social consequences of Chinas One child policy. The One child policy in china begin when Chinese governments viewed population containment as a benefit for living and economic improvement. They created a one child policy that limits the size of families, the policy also includes regulations regarding marriage, spacing and childbearing. The strict policy is controlled with rewards and penalties, it applies to minorities of china which are Urban residents and government employees with the exception of one-child families, first children with disabilities and workers in high-risk work settings. The policy three social consequences concerning population growth, the ratio between men and women, and the ratio between adult children and dependent elderly parents. Each social consequences causes disastrous results. The policy is a sex imbalance that creates social consequences. The sex imbalance is what causes the different social consequence with undesirable effects. The first social consequence is decrease in population growth. Population growth in china has declined in the past 25 years. The policy has prevented many births as stated in the article " Chinese authorities claim that the policy has prevented 250 to 300 million births. The total
“Even before its inception, the one child policy was question for its necessity and its enormous social costs.”(Document B Fertility Rates) China’s One Child Policy was established in 1980 and is still in action today. The One Child Policy was put into action due to the rising population rates. There is a controversial question that has been posed, is China’s One Child Policy a good or bad idea? After all of the evidence that was gathered the One Child Policy in China is not a good idea but does have some positive effects.
Another reason I think it is a good idea is because it is good population control. Although it is a rather cruel way, it can be an effective method of keeping a safe number of people in the area. One more reason I think the policy was a good idea is because 1 child is cheaper than having multiple since there could be less fortunate people that cannot afford to pay for multiple kids Although the people may disagree it helps them out by making their lives cheaper, also education would be cheaper since you only have to pay for one person than multiple
Would it be fair for the Government to control how many children you have? Is it fair for them to kill your unborn children? Since 1949 under the rule of Mao Zedong, the communist Chinese government had enforced policies that control families and couples in China. The Government has forced the people to have more children at one point and less at another. The One-Child policy in China limits Chinese couples to one child each. The three exceptions to the policy are: Minority ethnic groups, urban single-child residents, and the policy only enforced on the Han Chinese. The one-child policy was a bad idea for China for three reasons: punishments (inequality), unfair treatment of women, and china’s fertility rate was already decreasing
For the longest time China's Communist party would only allow couples to have one child. They did this becuase they feared their huge population was affecting their economic growth. In recent news however the Communist party has changed their law and now allows couples to have two children, "Driven by fears that an aging population could jeopardize China’s economic ascent, the Communist Party leadership ended its decades-old “one child” policy on Thursday, announcing that all married couples would be allowed to have two children.". As this is a big improvement for China, it's almost nothing compared to the amount of children American's have. A ton of American families have up to five children, and some families even have kids in the double digits. Seeing that one country has already cut back their population in a ritual, that's not so harsh, but restraining, shows how easily it could happen to
One reason our government should not limit how many children one has is because it can lead to abuse to citizens.
First reason, the number of government supported children is enormous, and with a projected baby boom on its way after the previous recession. To fix that the government could put in place laws restricting the number of children a family can have. The government could either restrict a family’s number of children based on total income. As in low class to middle low class families have one or two children. Where at the same time the high class, and middle high class families might have two to four children. Or the government could put in a law for everyone. They could much like china did and only allow one child to be born. Or base it off of the number of parents raising the children. One parent, one child, or two parents, to two children. Instead of putting laws on childbirth, they
One Reason the policy should be ended is that is a violation of rights. Why should the government be allowed to control the number of kids born in a family? It is also not right for the government to punish people for having an addition child. Fines, abortions, sterilization, and infanticide are being used
In October 12, 1999, the world's population has reached to 6 billion people. about only 12 years later (October 31, 2011) the world has gone up to 7 billion. Many people on the planet are worried about the world population going too high. They fear that too many people would result in starvation and quick depletion of resources. Some people believe that we should have some type of law that would limit the number of children we can have in each family. Something similar has come true in China about 30 years ago. In September 25, 1980, China's One-Child Policy has been created. This policy keeps parents from having more than one baby with the exception of twins, triplets, quadruplets, and so on. Parents may also have
The world has a problem of overpopulation, not under-population. The environmental problems occur largely because too many people exist and strain the natural resources. Thus, not creating an extra person is on average good for the society. (If creating a person would on average be good, then more people should be created, and the population size is too small, not too large.) In abortion, when a mother chooses not to create a person, the person is unwanted and thus probably should not be created.
All in all, I don’t think that the one child policy was a good idea. People should be able to have as many kids as they want or no kids at all. The one child policy wasn’t
I definitely agree people should have to get a license to become parents ,IF it was absolutely possible. However, if you end up pregnant, what is the government or CPA (child protection agency) going to make you do? They can’t make you abort the baby, because churches would constantly be out at abortion clinic fighting for mothers to not abort their babies. Also, the parents may want to keep their baby, even if they are not a completely great parent.
A child limit would affect just about everyone, and many different parts of the earth. If the population was lowered there would be less air, water, and soil pollution. The issue behind a child limit is that some people support it, and want it limited, while others don’t. This issue is primarily due to overpopulation, as the limit would limit our population so we won’t be overpopulated. This is a global issue, as populations around the globe would be affected, and environments everywhere would be affected, and this is why a potential child limit is a big deal, and why everyone should understand it.
