The Problem Of Global Change

Humans are to blame for global warming, there is no question about it. Humans and human actions are causing a rise in temperature worldwide. We have recorded a steady rise in temperature for the last fifty years. This rise is caused by an estimated 95% of human actions.Humans are to blame for global warming because of deforestation, population growth, and the use of non-environmentally safe products.

Humans are considered to be a big reason for this rise in temperatures over the last forty years. This is due to our extensive use of using fuels for energy that release carbon dioxide, also called the greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere. Every car driven on the road releases this substance as well as fuels used to heat homes and provide power to our everyday lives. There are also other factors that play a role into this explosion of rising temperatures. The EPA website states, “The majority of greenhouse gases come from burning fossil fuels to produce energy, although deforestation, industrial processes, and some agricultural practices also emit gases into the atmosphere” (EPA.gov, 2014). Trees are the atmospheres filter for carbon dioxide but when we continually dump more and more of this gas into the air and cut down more and more of the forests the balance of the Earth becomes skewed and the temperatures increase.

Climate change is evident throughout the world and is a major issue. It is no secret that our planet is getting warmer. Global warming is now recognized in the scientific community as a real problem. There are multiple aspects that are causing this issue. Majority of the warming is caused by greenhouse gases. Volcanic eruptions and changes in the intensity of solar radiation have offset the warming partially. It is estimated that average annual temperatures will increase 3.5°F-9.5°F by the century’s end.

Climate change is speeding up the process of global warming. The polar ice caps have been melting at an excessive rate over the years causing dramatic changes in sea levels, salt contents, and storm patterns.

Climate change will cause the air in the arctic to get warmer which melts the permafrost in the ground. The Sea ice will melt due to higher temperatures of the air and ocean, ending in rising sea levels and the melting of glaciers. You might think we have lots of time before this happens but in reality each year we lose about twice the size

Global warming has effected the world. The earth has had a drastic and devastating aftermath since humans have decided to release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. This resulted in the ground (above or below water) temperature to rise; the very definition of global warming. This has warmed up the waters and the fish of the ocean are now living in an environment that is too hot for them to live in.

The melting ice caps are having a dramatic affect on the polar regions of the earth. For example, the average temperature in the Arctic is rising twice as fast than the rest of the world (nrdc.org). The once prominent ice is now melting at a dramatic speed, which is affecting native people, wildlife, and plants. When the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf splintered, the freshwater lake that it surrounded drained into the ocean, along with the ecosystem that inhabited it. Polar bears, whales, walrus and seals are changing their feeding and migration patterns, making it harder for native people to hunt them (nrdc.org). Because of the flooding, entire villages will be uprooted order to avoid being swamped. Also, the Arctic coastlines are beginning to move as well. The melting ice caps are threatening the native peoples’ cultural identity and their very survival. Ice-dependant animals, such as walruses and ring seals will be greatly affected by the melting ice caps (treehugger.com). They have fewer places to rest on, as well as fewer places to hunt. If the ice caps keep melting, their lives will become in great danger. The melting ice caps are not only affecting the Polar Regions, but they are also affecting the rest of the world as well in the form of rising ocean levels.

The first definable cause of global warming is because human activities. In the past few decades the population of the world has increased rapidly. This has certainly triggered to increase pollution and ultimately effecting in the rise of earth's temperature. The major contributors of the climate change

Climate change is one of the biggest problems the whole world is collectively facing. Even though climate change is partially caused by the natural cycles of Earth, humans I think are still a major part of it and I think that we can do more to protect the environment that we live in. Temperatures rising can result in more floods, droughts, or flooding rain, as well as more frequent and severe heat waves which can cause wildfires. Oceans and the Antarctic Ice Glaciers have also experienced changes in oceans that are rising temperatures and are becoming more acidic. The Antarctic ice glaciers are melting and sea levels are rising destroying many habitats along the ice glaciers such as penguins and polar bears. As these changes frequently occur in future decades, they will likely present challenges to our society and environment.

If the sea levels keep rising some island will disappear. Heat waves are getting more and more common and will cause droughts. Cloud forest like true ecological kings of the jungle are dying off rapidly because of roads are being built, and farm settlement. The ecosystem is shifting in many parts of the globe, growing seasons is 2 weeks longer, animals are endangered, hibernation and migration is getting affected because of All of these has increased rapidly over the years.

One of the effects of global warming is the polar ice caps’ melting. Scientists have been researching and examining the polar ice caps for a long time and they have come to the conclusion that the thin ice sheets are slowly wasting away. They have also found out that Greenland’s glaciers are getting smaller and smaller. Places around the globe that use to be covered in ice and snow are now showing more green terrain as the years go on and as the winter months grow warmer. The polar ice caps are melting more and more due to higher global temperatures. This is really bad because the ice caps “reflect and help regulate the Earth’s temperatures.”

Global climate change is real, it has noticeable effects on the environment. Climate change in the earth is caused by numerous activities. When climate change happens; temperatures can rise tremendously. Rapid warming notice nowadays is uncommon in the history of our planet. The rising temperatures will have great effects on the plant’s climate patterns and on all living things. When temperatures increase, different adjustments can occur on earth. For example, it can cause droughts, floods, air pollution, as well as extreme heat waves. Oceans are also experiencing changes: oceans are warming and becoming more acidic, glaciers are melting, and sea levels are rising. As these adjustments will occur in the future, it will cause challenges to our society and environment.

Global warming has become a well conversed topic among scientists and peoples in the world today. There are extremists who do everything possible to stop contributing to the warming, but the average person does little to alleviate the issue and in many cases refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem at all. Dating back to millions of years ago, even before humanity was born, the world has always experienced one form or another of warming; so the warming seen today is not as bizarre as many may think. The prevalent saying that history often repeats itself, is no joke when discussing global warming. As to what is kindling the current warming, that is where a query is imposed. Scientists from around the globe have theorized close to every possible contributor to the warming seen today, and the conclusion that present occurrences of global warming are being evoked by human interference has become evident.
