What is your Purpose?
Why does one wake up in the morning? Why does one go to work or school? Why are people here on Earth? What is each person’s purpose? Why have humans walked this Earth for so long? Human’s are alive cause some magical spirit believed each individual could do something wonderful in his world. In the book The Purpose Driven Rick Warren, the author, is trying to tell the people of the world know that no matter what type of situation you are in God is on your side. He gave everyone a purpose and they have to go out and find it.
In “The Purpose Driven” God says “Every human on this Earth has a purpose.” Nobody was put here by accident. Not all parents get to plan when they have their children, but God was ready for his creation to come alive. The Bible states “The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me.” He knows exactly how he wants his people to look. He also creates every individual's uniqueness and personality. The Bible states “You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.” Before

Everything in God’s world is here for a reason. Some animals were made to fly, some were made to jump, and some were created to be meals for the humans. Every creature has a purpose just like humans do. Each individual was made for a specific ministry. Warren mentioned “We are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” Each human was made to do something different. Nobody was made to do the same job as someone else or create the same impact in the same person's life. When a people are good at things they love to do that's a gift from God. He wanted that individual to either be really good at the sport the play or be really good at school or even be artistically talented. So called “talents” are your gift from God. That's where he wanted his creation to
Humans were created in Gods image. In Genesis 1-2, human beings are created to live and take care of what God has formed. God placed Adam, and then Eve, on earth. He created them from the dust of the earth. God spoke to Adam and gave him all the animals to name. Adam was also given the task of tending to and growing the Garden of Eden. Human nature is confirmed to be obedient to God and his word. (Bible - ESV, Genesis 1-2) God wanted human nature to be kind, just, obedient, good, faithful, etc. Gods ultimate creation was human life.
In (Genesis 1:26-27 KJV.) We learn that all humanity was created in the image of God. Just like Adam and Eve we too are commanded to take care of the earth and create life. While human responsibility was made clear all humanity was susceptible to sin. To summarize Lecture 2. (2015), humanity’s purpose from the beginning of time has been to do good continually, learn wisdom be fearing the Lord and follow His example in deed and in thought.
Per Genesis God created humans on the 6th day out of his own image. Some people believe this refers to characteristics, while others believe this refers to physical likeness. The fall of humanity started with Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit. They were banished from the garden, and humans were cursed by God from that day forward. He made work hard, allowed us to feel suffering and die, made childbirth painful and more. Many people question why God gave us the ability to sin if he is so good and gracious. The answer is God gave us free will to make our own decisions. Adam and Eve had free will but were not sinful by nature. After the fall, God
This week assignment was very interesting and fascinating. We are all born with gifts and talents. Having God-given gifts inside us that has the power to give life, direction, and purpose. First Peter 4:10 says” As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of Gods varied grace”. God works in different ways in each of us.
According to a biblical worldview, mankind was created in Gods image. We are supposed to live life as he would and as he wants us to. God is a being of integrity, honesty, love, and kindness. How we live our life is to be a direct reflection of God himself. He gave us the world to care for as a shepherd cares for his flock. If we live life in his image as he meant for us to do so, then we gain entrance to heaven to have a chance at everlasting life (Wieder & Gutierrez,
In Genesis 1:26-27 the Bible talks about how we are made in the image of God, or have what is known as the Imago Dei. Some people would say that this means that human beings have a conscious, and live at a level that is more complex than just living on mere instinct. I believe that there is more to it than that. Romans 12:6 says that “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” In other words, as you read the rest of the chapter you can see how each of the different gifts given to people can be used to edify and strengthen other people. We were created to be a blessing to other people, and those other people were created to live in harmony with you.
The purpose of man is to praise and worship God, proclaim his glory, and to accomplish his will."… And whom I have created for My glory, …” (Isaiah 43:7 New International Version). God created all things in harmony. He established a perfect creation that he loves and over which he rules. The highest honor is given to mankind as the only part of creation made in God’s image. Humanity was created to love as God loves, to worship and praise his glory and commune with him as he does with us.
In the same way, suppose a person like God exists, and that the purpose of human life is to glorify God. That is what God made people to do (if you don‟t believe this yourself, go along with the idea for a moment for the sake of the argument). Still, if you ask “What is the meaning of life?” and you learn that you were created in order to glorify God, this may leave you fairly unimpressed. You might find this a better purpose than being food for aliens, but not one that, somehow, gives your life meaning. Some people might find this purpose one which was comforting and motivating, but others might not. Yet the meaning of life is supposed
Isaiah 43:21 reveals God’s purpose in creating us; to give Him praise through worship. As a leader/minister, preaching the gospel, teaching, providing an environment conducive to growth and flourishing, reproducing the character of Christ, and leading others to worship and delight of God is my real responsibility. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the ages.”
We have all asked the questions, “Why am I here?”, “What is the purpose of life?” and “What am I supposed to believe in?” It can be very confusing with so much information out there and so many people insisting they are right. Your path may become clouded. There is hope, and the answers are within you.
The main message of Rick Warren the purpose driven life is to help believers understand the larger aspects of you live and the world. In the novel, Warren says, “you will know God’s purpose for your life and will understand the big picture – how all the pieces of your life fit together.” This shows readers what the author want the them to take away from the book. Just as people take God’s word in many different way, this book can be received in ways that appeal or help the reader due to their circumstance. Through its unconventional formatting, the novel can be interpreted many different ways.
But also in the book it discusses how people do not agree with creating one’s own purpose. They think that if they create their own purpose, then that means that their life meaning is not as meaningful. I do agree with this to some extent but I also think that we know ourselves the best and if we create our own life meaning it can be the most fulfilling. A quote from this chapter is, “What matters is not necessarily what the inventor had in mind, but the uses or purposes the innovation actually has” (p.12). This quote is saying that for example the predetermined meaning of humans is not really important at all. It is what purposes a human can bring about in this world.
In The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren writes that “our first purpose in life is to:
wants us to use our wisdom and our talents that is why he gave them to
It can be argued that god did create humanity for a purpose, as why would he endow us with sense, reason and intellect if he intended us to forgo their use? It therefore logically follows that we must have some purpose, hidden or not that we are expected to fulfil, also why would the bible detail the creation of humans in such detail as is demonstrated in genesis 2, why would god, in this story, prioritise mankind over all others when the purpose if said entities is made apparent as animals are made to feed man, so if god endeavoured to assign a purpose to those supposedly subservient to mankind, why would he not give a purpose for mankind to fulfil, why also, according to the
