Diversity has many definitions but only one true meaning. This concept Analysis is dedicated to exploring the broadened sense of diversity through active concepts with respect to term usage, and current literature research to support the understanding and relevance of the term itself.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines diversity as "the condition of having or [of] being composed of differing elements [ 因 especially the inclusion of different types of people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization [...]" (Merriam-Webster Dictionary, 2012). Diversity is, often, omnipresent in the United States, especially in metropolitan areas. Yet there are pockets in this country, and especially in the world, where diversity is a concept that is unaccepted, even shunned, by society. Despite such negative attitudes toward diversity, most know that this element is truly positive, and adds a very special dimension to any society, in any field. This paper will focus towards answering five questions relating to diversity both from an academic and personal standpoint, and will discuss this topic in detail below.

Diversity means to value and respect the differences and individuality of people. This means to embrace the differences between people and to treat a person’s race, culture, religious beliefs, age, sexual orientation, gender, physical and mental characteristics etc. with respect.

1.1a Explain what is meant by Diversity Diversity is a reality created by individuals and groups from a broad spectrum of demographic and philosophical variations. It is important to support and protect diversity because of valuing individuals and groups free from prejudice, and by fostering a climate where equity and mutual respect are intrinsic. "Diversity" means more than just acknowledging and/or tolerating difference. Diversity is a set of conscious practices that involve: •Understanding and appreciating interdependence of humanity, cultures, and the natural environment. •Practicing common respect for qualities and experiences that are different from our own.

Diversity exists all across the United States. It is defined as the state of having people who are different races or who have different cultures in a group or organization, according to Merriam-Webster dictionary. Along with the ever-growing diversity in America, brings along intercultural communication. Intercultural communication can be defined as a situated communication between individuals or groups of different linguistic and cultural origins. Due to the limitless amounts of diversity and intercultural communication across the United States, misunderstandings and clashes between cultures are bound to occur. These clashes have been as extreme to be used to explain violence and crime not only in the United States, but also throughout our entire nation. On the other end, these cultural clashes can be so personal in our everyday lives because of our expectations of a certain behavior coming from our own cultural backgrounds, as many others have very different cultural backgrounds and expectations of us.

Throughout the world social problems such as illiterate, elderly, handicapped, minority groups, and poverty have been the biggest part in our society for many years. Some of our social problems had died off, meanwhile, they’re still many problem that we are still facing as a society. One of the major social problem we face is people being illiterate. Being illiterate is meaning a person can not read nor write, and it can also mean that a person is grammatically incorrect. There is as much as 23% of the adult population that are ignorant to basic skills of the 4th grade level. In the U.S. the ethnic group that is most affected by not being able to read or write is

Malcolm Forbes once said, “Diversity: the art of thinking independently together.” The same diversity that shaped the United States going back to the sixteenth century when immigrants landed in North America. Diversity of people and species, but their real differences were religion, politics, economics, social issues, and the fantastic ways they dealt with those issues.

To begin my personal informative essay on diversity in the United States, I would like to point out what information has had the most influence on how I better understand and relate to others different from how I did in the past. I do not feel as though this class taught me any more than I already know about other races and ethnicities, in terms of, how their ancestors came to America, or what hardships particular racial or ethnical groups have grown through in the group’s history in the United States. Bush, said these enhancing words and it now concerns me in this day of time. That now the world wants to imprison the Hispanic culture all for varies stereotypes. With President Trump theory of the wall this will cause many more issues not only with Hispanic immigrates but within America itself. Without the construction of the wall, America wouldn’t be wasting money, it will keep generating diversity and wall wouldn’t go against our founding father's rules and regulations.

The information that I have learned about diversity in the United States of America has helped me better understand and relate to others in many ways. The world is full of different people and ethnicity, race, creative individuals. Each race has issues to deal with rather it be prejudice and racism. Also during my time in this course I have learned a great deal about myself and I learned how to show more respect to other cultures, I already understood some of the cultures and races we studied this course but to get a better understanding and having to additional research really gave me an open mind and point of view what everyone deals with.

The United States of America can be regarded as one of the most diverse and progressive countries in the world with people from all corners of the world contributing to the changing culture of the melting pot that is America. Despite this, our government inadequately represents our diverse population, specifically in Congress, with many officials being Christian, older, non-Hispanic white males dominating government.

Diversity: This means difference and peoples differences are varied. Race, culture, age, marital status, politics and religion is all what makes us an individual.

Diversity is defined as “a state of being different” however, the meaning extends further than just culture and race. It is a concept which revolves around acceptance and respect. Understanding each individual, their tradition, their belief, their uniqueness, and their importance in the community builds up the true meaning of diversity.
