Not a lot of people think this but immigrants help the community in a positive way. Immigrants can bring over food, cultures, holidays and much more. I read a story about a kid named Karim and he helps the US by teaching people about his culture and that immigrants aren't all bad people. Karim helps his home country Somalia because he and his dad sends remittances back to their family and some of the money goes to the government. Some of the pull factors that caused him to come to the US are that he wanted a good education and he wanted to work for his dad in the shop that they own. One of the push factors that caused him to leave is that there is a civil war going on in Somalia. I learned that approximately 100,000 Somali born people lived
Many people leave their homelands and immigrate to America. Many Immigrants come to America searching for work and better opportunity. Immigrants have helped develop and create America into what it is today. Immigrants have positively contributed to America in many different ways including fashion, physis, and the engineers.
The United States of America is a nation of many immigrant people. People come from all over the world, leaving their homeland and sometimes leaving their loved ones to escape deep poverty and violence. When immigrants come to America, in their dreamland they face many problems such as language, education, employment, legal problems, housing, food, and health issues. Immigrants do all kinds of low-paying jobs. They clean houses for a living. Some immigrants come with very small businesses. Many immigrants contribute their skills, knowledge, and education to improve the U.S. economy.
From an economic aspect, immigration is somewhat beneficial since it increases the US work force and it’s economy. According to Camarota Steven on his testimony’’ Immigration and the US economy’’, immigration overall increases the economy of the US due to the fact that more workers and more people mean bigger GDP. He also pointed out that the impact of immigration of the seize of the economy is not a measure of the benefits of natives. That means that regardless of the benefits of natives, Immigration is a tool to increase the economy of the US. On the other hand, it can be detrimental to the US economy. In fact most of the immigrants work “under the table” which make the fiscal
The issue of immigration has become a major debate for everyone. Although people argue over the negative impacts of immigrants living in America such as overcrowding, less jobs due to immigrants taking them, drug trafficking, and threatening of American culture, immigrants still have a huge impact in the American society. The United States is by far the largest destination for immigrants, annually receiving over a million legal immigrants and about seven hundred thousand illegal immigrants. Many people come to the United States to get a better life for themselves as well as for the education system for their children.
Immigrants are what have helped America to be America. Being a multicultural society standing united. We say that America is just a melting pot. This is what makes our country exceptional and special. We have here many cultures: Chinese, Italian, German, African, and Latin as well. We have many Ideas
America is a great place. It is filled with hope, dreams, love, and success. Immigrant families choose to come over to America because of those reasons. These families have the American Dream in mind. One particular group that comes to the United States is the Somali Refugees. The Somali Refugees see America as their second chance and lucky them, America is able to give it to them. There is one problem though. Many Americans are not willing to contribute or agree to help the Somali Refugee population. Somali Refugees go through a lot all because of their culture and Americans should help them feel welcomed and wanted here.
Many people believe that immigrants do not provide us with any beneficial effects to our country. This is not the case at all. At one point all of the current Americans that reside in the United States today had ancestors that traveled from another country or countries to the United States of America, thus making us all decedents of immigrants. Immigration helps boost up the economy, not hurt it, for the most part. Illegal immigrants take jobs that have lower pay and horrible hours. They also tend not to file for tax returns or claim their Social Security money (Aquino 2016). Illegal immigrants do not claim social security or file for taxes in order to prevent themselves from being found out and deported back
First of all, immigrants positively benefit the United States in which most of the time is not understood. One of the most important political rights is that all persons born in the U.S. are automatically citizens. Immigrants have been able to live in any place where they please, buy a house, land, or business without restrictions helping the government’s money cycle. Immigrants can seek for jobs, except for certain government jobs that are restricted to U.S. citizens, on an equal balance in ways that bring new
Immigration has been a burning issue lately, particularly after Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the United States of America. It has been a topic that families discuss every morning with breakfast. Despite many concerns related to immigration, it has several positive benefits that mostly outweighs the negativity. People bizarrely argue when it comes to immigration, but these arguments are primarily based on facts and ideas that are outdated or inconsistent and blindfold the positive aspect related to immigration. Many immigrants in the United States are good workers who don't depend upon any public welfare and mostly help in the overall development of the economy. As a country made by immigrants, we must not forget the fact that immigrants have helped to build cities and create a path of development form Google to iPhones (Gray & Furman, 2012). These facts are secluded, and some related arguments with different content have been repeated for years and continue. Immigrants have a lot to give the United States rather than to take, especially when it comes to economic terms.
Immigrants have been causing world wide controversy with their existence in the U.S. There are some very important industries that rely on illegal immigrants.. In 2009, Milk retail prices would have gone up if immigrants were eliminated from work. With the work that these immigrants have been putting in they have saved prices from going up and they helped american wealth go up by 1%. They have also contributed more than 10%(300 billion) of The Social Security Trust
Immigrants have a great impact on the United States (Zong et al). They should not get rid of immigrants. Even though getting rid of immigrants would lover the crime rate, it would be expensive, the population would drop, and we would lose businesses.
Immigrants have a large impact on our nation. They make up quite a bit of our population. They also do a plethora of jobs here in the U.S. They also introduce new aspects of culture to our melting pot of society. They help further our already astoundingly diverse country.
Not all immigrants come to America to do what most people think, do drugs, have kids, rely on social services. Most of the time illegal immigrants come to the United States to have a better life. Immigrants are improving the U.S. economy with all the taxes being paid. Also, immigrants are filling in lower end jobs that America needs such as hotel workers, factory workers and many more. Immigrants don’t only bring negatives with them, they are helping America become a better place to
Just like anything, there are good and bad immigrants. “There are going to be, you know hard-working guys like this who are entrepreneurs. There are going to be criminals. There are going to be most people who are sort of, you know, a little bit good and a little bit bad.” (Krikorian). People hear stories about illegal immigrants coming here and participating in illegal drug activity and other malicious things, and put every illegal in the same category. This is a mistake on American’s part. Every year, thousands of Mexican families migrate to the south and do the “dirty” and intense farming jobs. Without the migrants, farmers would have to pay more money, which would in turn, make the prices for produce increase drastically. This positively benefits the American economy in a huge way. Although there are good things about immigrants, there are also bad. The main issue with immigration is the drug transportation. The drug cartels come to America and sell the drugs to other sellers in America. People
Not only are immigrants benefitting our country economically, but also they are assimilating well into American culture. On average, immigrants are more assimilated now than they ever were since the 1980s (Vigdor 2013). Because these immigrants were assimilating now more than ever, it’s a sign or progress for our country.
