When in the course of recent political oppression from the Empire, it becomes necessary to Dissolve the political bands with the Galactic Senate and the Empire, and to assume among the powers of Alderaan, and the powers of the Force, a decent respect to the opinions of all alien races requires that they should declare the causes which lead us to the separation from the galactic Senate.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all beings are created through the Force, That they are endowed by the Force with certain unalienable rights, that among these are protection of life, liberty and the protection of our people. That to keep and protect these rights, Galactic Governments are created among species, and to use their powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive, by following the dark side of the force, of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to rebel against it, and to create a new republic, laying on the foundation at the beginning with the principles, that seem to most likely affect their safety and happiness.

This change needed to be for the benefit of the people to avoid another conflict such as the clone wars, but our government has changed to harm the people it works to serve. The history of Chancellor Palpatine is a history of repeated offences against the senate, all having leading to an absolute tyranny over Alderaan. To prove this, let facts be submitted to the
When problems arise in our nation, we are left with a complicated crisis as to whose job it is to do what and who exactly should be taking care of any bad situation that seems to pop up with daily life anywhere in the world, but in this case, America. Certain governmental systems, such as Federalism, can be considered a solution to these crises. Federalism can be defined as the relationship between the individual state governments of America and the national or federal government of the United States; and works to balance the power of a large central government, and the power of the smaller regional governments.
The structure of our American Government was founded in the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution was written to be the “supreme law of the land,” and produces a democratic republic, where citizens govern themselves (Our American Government, n.d). The purpose of our government, is to “establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessing of liberty to ourselves and our posterity” (Our American Government, n.d.). For our country to accomplish this purpose our Founding Fathers created three principles, “inherent rights, self-government, and separation of powers” (Our American Government, n.d.). The government was developed to ensure order in society and protect its citizens, but with all systems, there is strengths and weakness, let’s examine those strengths and weakness. Let’s first look at the strength and weakness of the U.S. Constitution.
2. Please explain the differences in these three stages of federalism – dual federalism, cooperative federalism, and regulated federalism.
Right now the current form of Federalism that the United States uses today is called New Federalism, or Cooperative Federalism. Cooperative Federalism was created as a political model around 1937 that emphasized “teamwork” between the National and State governments. This was created to ensure that both governments would work together in order to provide services more efficiently in the Nation. This is why Cooperative Federalism is appealing to this day and still exercised, because the U.S. has still retained those elements of regional supremacy, and States’ rights. The current form of Federalism is well-suited for handling policy issues in the United States because our current form of Federalism (Cooperative Federalism) revolves around the idea that the National and State government are one team.
In federalist #51, ‘separation of power’ and ‘federalism’ is similar in many respects. The federal government is the power that is forced to regulate the laws and keep the nation running as smoothly as possible according to the constitution and laws handled down to the citizens for the United States of America. Separation of power is created and used by the federal government to divide each branch of the government into branches, which are separate but equal in power.
The government was created to serve the population and provide order to society. Running a country involves making laws that offer protection for a majority of the population, and although laws are created with the intent to please everyone, there will always be some people who do not agree with them. The people who are not pleased with society or the way the government is run are still entitled to their own happiness. Today, in our society, the government is not in charge of everyone's life; people are free to live however they please. In the novel, Brave New World, the futuristic society controls everyone's life so order will prevail. Pleasing the majority of the population is extreme in the novel because individuality is erased in order to ensure peace. I believe the government should continue to stay the way it is which
1. James Madison argued that a large republic is more conducive to liberty in comparison to a small one mainly due to the fact that a large republic offers more unity. As such, it would be easier to guard citizens against any violations on the liberties of each individual. Additionally, a large society ensures diversity in opinion from people of different cultural backgrounds, thereby ensuring proper self-governance. According to Madison, a united country would be the best way to improve equality and ensure that all individuals are protected regardless of their race, ethnicity or minority status. In a large republic, there are larger groups of individuals from different backgrounds who offer significant representation to all communities in the republic. Therefore, it is easier to understand different perspectives thereby ensuring that people’s liberties are upheld and that the minority groups are not oppressed.
Power was consolidated by moving power from the assemblies into the senate, packing the senate with supporters and having the senate elect the would-be emperor to positions for life. [2]
Throughout history, there have been many systems of government that have been created, and have revolutionised todays modern forms of government. Democracy, Monarchy, Dictatorship, Theocracy, and Anarchy all use various, unique techniques on how to run a civilization. Each of them require different leadership traits in order for it to work properly.
Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World is an dystopian novel that explicitly defines human engineering. In Brave New world, the government is controlled by ten world leaders. Government is displayed as a World State in Brave New World. Aldous Huxley expresses the way that government works as a benevolent totalitarian oligarchy. There are ten world leaders in Brave New World, which exemplifies that it is an oligarchy rule, because so few people have the power.
According to Jones (2011), the strength of fusion centers is called "Epistemic Federalism" (p. 178). Epistemic Federalism allows local agencies to utilize an approach that is taken from their perspective. The fusion center encompasses federal; state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT); and private sector partners, but the state and local government plays more of a substantial role with the gathering of information. Local agencies deal with the public on a daily bases and their mission is to protect and serve the public. This connection allows local agencies to gain more information from the public, especially when they suspect something suspicious. As stated by Jones (2011), the local agencies are more adept at identify terrorist cells, than
Divided government describes a government where one party is in control of the executive branch while another party has control over the Senate and/or the House of Representatives (the two houses of the legislative branch, or Cogress). The presence of divided government effects the speed at which laws are passed. Research shows that a divided government decreases the production of laws by almost 30 percent. Research also shows that there is a 60-day time difference between the time it takes unified governments and divided governments to pass important bills (the maximum taking a divided government has been two years); two months is a pretty good amount of time when talking about a two-year congressional term. A divided
Republicans oppose these policies and favor states to take responsibility on issues like child labor, education and social security with Medicare
Ancient Rome consisted of two main forms of government, the Republic and the Empire, each of which lasted about five centuries. At first, Rome was a republic, governed by members of wealthy classes. As the Republican form of government continued, a series of civil wars led to the breakdown of the system, and a new form of government, the Empire, was established in its place. The Empire began with a prolonged period of peace, the Pax Romana. However, like the Republic, the Empire also turned foul and collapsed after the Pax Romana. Still, a citizen of the Empire was better off than a citizen of the Republic. Health problems were less severe in the Empire than in the Republic. Moreover, the Empire was more peaceful and better able to provide necessities for average citizens than the Republic was. The political situation was also better in the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire generally provided a healthier and higher quality of civic life than the Roman Republic.
It wasn’t unusual for a Viceroy to request an audience with one of the many assistants to the Twelve Leaders of the Hierarchy on their views concerning planetary rule. However, for the past few months, the Twelve Leaders of the Hierarchy request the attention of all the Planet’s Viceroys to speak with them face to face. All knew why their areas Viceroys left their areas within their charge, and all waited anxiously to hear their words when they returned. The reason for this fear and excitement was simple and most profound. The Twelve Leaders of the Hierarchy had a task like no other.
