Fairy tales haven’t just impacted through the stories told, they have also become a lifestyle some people live by, though style choices and visiting the numerous parks that center around the famous tales. With the amount of films the Disney has created, it is inevitable that the fairy tales have reached millions through not only the films but also through other Disney creations. Disney studios have opened several theme parks around the world. Each of these parks pertain in some way to the films he has created. The two parks in the United States are Disneyland and Disney World, both of which have a large portion of land dedicated to a wildlife preserve (Fact). With all the rides, hotels, transport system, and other things that Disney World, which opened on October 1, 1971, and Disneyland, making its opening day on July 7, 1955, have created hundreds of jobs, helping the economy to a great extent. Combined both parks have over one hundred thousand cast members (Fact). Disney has even created some slightly unusual jobs, including the fifty trained scuba divers that work at Disneyland year-round to maintain the sea and water attractions that the park has. Disney World has several small parks in the one large park, including Epcot, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Fact). Even during the Great Depression, Walt Disney was able to give people an escape from reality. When his first feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs came out in 1937, Walt Disney was able to get people to spend the few cents it took to get into the theater for just over an hour of escape. Even though it was the Great Depression, because the movie was the first full length animated film, Walt was able to spend $1,499,000 on the production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
