When looking at the role of the Joint Commission their mission comes to mind; they state that their mission is to constantly improve health care for the masses, while considering connections with stakeholders, by looking at the health care organizations and compelling them to strive to give safe and effective care of the greatest quality. Though this is their overall mission they update their standards every year (The Joint Commission, 2016). These updates may add a new safety feature or amend a current safety feature or staffing problem or even looking at the sound system in a hospital (The Joint Commission, 2016). In the poem “In Response to Executive Order 9066” by Dwight Okita and the story “My Two Lives” by Jhumpa Lahiri there are both similarities and differences in the theme, speaker, tone, setting, and diction throughout the pieces. The theme of the pieces is living as 2nd generation immigrants. The speaker for both the poem and the story is a daughter describing their experiences as a 2nd generation immigrant for each one. They both share similar tones, although the tone does change through one of the pieces. The setting for the poem and story are similar in that they both take place in the United States, but also differ in the era in which they happen in history. The implied claim for the subject of justice is how a fourteen year old girl is being forced to move into a Japanese relocation camp in the United States during World War II. The girl is not only having to leave her entire life behind, but also having to deal with the hardship of losing her best friend due to the negative sterotype put onto Japanese-Americans at the time.

The mistrust most Americans feel toward the government officials and political parities of today can be traced back to the Watergate scandal of 1972, which led to the resignation of an American president. The crimes of the Watergate scandal included political burglary, bribery, extortion, wiretapping (phone tapping), conspiracy, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, tax fraud, illegal use of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), illegal campaign contributions, and use of taxpayers' money for private purposes.

This, however, was not his first lapse in judgment as viewed by the Senate and Congress. The President and his wife, Hillary, found themselves involved in the Whitewater scandal beginning in 1978. In addition, during his campaign, Clinton was accused of draft dodging and rumors were spread in regards to his possible marriage infidelity. The Watergate Scandal was the downfall of Richard Nixon. It made Americans put less trust in the government and built trust in the media. It all takes place at the Watergate Hotel. He led an extremely corrupt administration to get him re elected. He also was the first President to resign. The unethical organization that was formed was called the CRP (later creep). They helped Nixon get re elected in 1972. They used illegal tactics to get him re elected. They paid lawyers for the burglars who broke into the Watergate Hotel. These people were known as the Plumbers. That was directed by John Ehrlichman. They were the White House investigation unit. They prevented information leak and burglarize any of Nixon reveals. Watergate seven was Richard Nixon closest comrades. They were in charge of the Creep and the plumbers that carried out many illegal activities. Christ the Transformer of Business culture is a good trait to obtain. “These people are intimately involved with those in the business, but their distinctive Christian standards are not lost” (Ruddell, 2004, p. 40). The people that were involved in the Watergate scandal should have had this trait.

For Gibson Southern’s 2017 Mock Congress assignment I was given bill numbers two and eleven. Bill two was “A Bill to Incentivize a Shift to Green Energy by Increasing Investments in Nuclear Energy”. Bill eleven was “A Resolution to End Tax Exemptions for Religious Institutions”. I was a member of the Gold Party, therefore, I was for bill eleven and opposing bill two.

Many Americans have access to health care that enable them to receive the care they need. Other faces a variety of barriers that make it difficult to receive health care services. According to the National Healthcare Disparities Reports, racial and ethnic groups are disproportionately represented among the uninsured and lower socioeconomic status.
