Most people believe that Sugar babies who are simply arm candy who are paid to be pretty and make conversation with them. Most also believe it’s easy and anyone can do it. However, this is far from the truth. In the Sugar World, there are many things to be careful of, from finding a Salt Daddy or being put into situations where one’s life in danger. The Sugar Bowl is not as sweet as it seems, and I am going to broadcast this to the world. To be specific, a sugar baby is a young male or female, who is willing to give up both their time and affection with a sugar daddy. A sugar daddy is willing to spoil a sugar baby with gifts, allowance, or travels. In this instance, both parties get something and it is like a business deal. There are many …show more content…
She goes on to tell me that in order to be the perfect lady, you have to do tasks such as getting your nails done every week (because they like when you switch up the color), always have your hair slayed (because you can't walk around with a bird’s nest on your head), always have your body smooth and hairless (because in their imagination, women don't have hair), and always have your face beat to the gods, while maintaining the natural look (because they want to believe you woke up like this). Being a sugar baby is all about being perfect and that’s quite a task to do. When you really think about it, most of the money that comes in from the sugar daddy goes into making oneself look good. Sugar babies take a lot of pride in this, so when a daddy complains about the cost of keeping them beautiful, they usually get cut off. In a game like this, a sugar baby must be stern in order to keep herself safe and in control. Mariah emphasizes this when she tells me, “I have to be a bitch. If I’m not a bitch then they’ll think I’m weak and try to take advantage of me. Plus, I know they like it when I humble them a little, so it’s a win-win!”. Contrary to the popular belief, a sugar baby isn't someone feeble who is simply arm candy. …show more content…
As society usually does, people usually question the morality of a sugar baby and what she is doing rather than both parties, the man included. People call sugar babies gold diggers and that they have daddy issues. People well always have something negative to say about something, but these two are in fact usually not true for every sugar baby. Much like working a 9-5, sugar babies are investing time and a positive attitude into a job they are compensated for. The term gold diggers wouldn’t be factual because they are only approached and kept around because of their looks. If these sugar babies are gold diggers, then the sugar daddy must be called out for going for a baby that is beautiful and young and only spending time with them because of their money. When I asked Mariah about when she told her friends about how she gets quick cash, she told me “They asked me how I could talk to such old guys normally. If I actually liked them, or how it felt when I had sex with them. These questions were so annoying. It’s no different than working a regular job. Just like they have to smile in rude customers face, I have to smile and pretend to care about what these oldies talk about. It’s a job. I’m not really attracted to these guys, but having money to survive and live? Yea I like the sound of that. I don’t care if they judge me”. Ultimately, her friends

1. This informative speech on “The Cause of Homelessness “is very Inform able and worth listening to, because in today’s economy it could be you or me. Some seem to think homelessness is choice. I find this speech relevant to the world I live in today, due to the high unemployment rate, declining job market, and the economic hardships that families are enduring. This topic is not a broad one, but yet can be spoke of in depth due to the fact I see many homeless people but never thought it would be me until I seen a family friend who has lost everything, this is what made me more aware that it is not just a choice and any day it could be me. So when you see

When in fact I didn’t have to represent the same thing”, this is the perfect example of the hypodermic needle theory at work. As Nicki Minaj grew up, her inspirations were Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. When not performing, Britney appears to be a “normal” girl. Before becoming a celebrity, she was a basketball player and churchgoing schoolgirl. Now, she claims she continues to cling to her Baptist faith, praying nightly and writing in her prayer journal (Daly sc.3). However, only by her statements would one know she is religious. It is not reflected in her music, videos, and performances (Perrotta 239). When asked about Britney’s revealing wardrobe, her mother replied, “I did not raise a promiscuous daughter. Day to day, Britney dresses like any other kid” (Tresniowski 102). Whether this is true or
