The Treaty Of Versailles and Establishment of Peace
The Treaty Of Versailles established an uneasy peace. I will prove this by looking at such factors as The Big Three's lust for revenge on the Germans, the four major problems encountered when composing the treaty, the final terms of the treaty and the Germans' anger at it.
The Big Three were three powerful leaders from three powerful nations. They would be Woodrow Wilson, Georges Clemenceau and David Lloyd George, of the USA, France and the UK respectively. These great men would decide the fate of Germany.
Woodrow Wilson wanted to create a League of Nations which was a new organisation which could end disputes between countries without wars.

The war ran through France and therefore people's homes, land and other property were destroyed. All the countries who were lost went into debt, therefore the Germans had to pay war reparations, despite the damage not being entirely the fault of Germany.
Self-determination also caused problems and nationalist groups were keener than ever to rule themselves and be free of their empires. Woodrow Wilson encouraged self-determination, as he saw smaller countries less of a threat. This was included in the Treaty of Versailles.
Russia was taken over by communists in 1917. It was spreading all around the world. Capitalist countries were scared that the communists would take over. Communists wanted everyone to be equal. (Communist countries were denied membership to the League of Nations.)
Twenty million people died in WWI. There had never been a war like it. It was meant to be the war to end all wars, but failed to succeed, Consequently causing more problems.
The following points were decided and written on the final Treaty of Versailles.
Alsace-Lorraine must be returned to France after being stolen in 1871. The French PM, Georges Clemenceau wanted it back.
The Rhineland, in between Germany and France will remain part of Germany, but no German military forces are permitted to enter, because it would be the optimum point to attack France.
The
On June 28th 1919, in the Versailles Palace of France, the treaty of Versailles officially ended World war one. The signers of this treaty implemented certain restrictions on Germany that were to guarantee Germany would never start another world war. This begs the question, “what did the end of one war have to do with the start of World War Two?”. The evidence shows that it was this treaty’s influence on Adolf Hitler that led to the Versailles Treaty’s ultimate failure and provoked the start of the next world war. Because of this treaty Adolf Hitler’s economic plan, proposed while he was seeking political election, was focused on rebuilding and reclaiming Germany. This went hand in hand with the nationalist ideas of the Nazi party.
The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty signed by the winners of WWI meant to punish the aggressors of the war. The treaty opened the door for WWII to develop into an international total war. The Treaty of Versailles made WWII inevitable due to the absurd amount of repercussions Germany had to deal with, the failure of the league of nations, and the expansion of Japan.
The treaty of the Versailles was an agreement between France, England and the United states. Its intentions were to prevent a second world war however, it was a total fail. An obvious reason for not being effective could be because not everyone was included in the conference such as Russia, and Central Powers. Instead, Prime minister George Clemenceau had thought he would speak for all of europe and wanted to be the strongest of europe. Clemenceau seeked revenge towards Germany, in fact he desired most dismantle the best of Germany 's military and their nationalist pride. As for the United States, Wilson implemented the fourteen points which focused on self determination of people. Only few of his points were included in the treaty but these points had been the reason for conflicts happening in europe. Participation from everyone is important and not allowing everyone 's input could lead to negative outcomes such as, The league of nations which most likely failed because the United States wasn’t allowed to participate.
World War I was one of the most brutal and bloodiest war ever fought in the early twentieth century. The war left ten million soldiers dead, seven million civilians dead, and another ten million people to be wounded (Background Essay). It was the Triple Alliance, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Turkey, against the Triple Entente, France, Britain, Russia, and Italy (Background Essay). The war ended with the Paris Peace Conference where world leaders meet up to discuss about a creation of a treaty to settle the peace terms. President Woodrow Wilson of the U.S. simply wanted to create a League of Nations to settle future conflicts and to avoid war (Background Essay). However, Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau of France and Prime Minister David Lloyd George of England wanted even more; revenge and humiliation on Germany. They are forcing Germany to pay hundreds of billions of dollars for
“The war to end all wars” was what people called it. Others called it “The Great War”. Many people died in this war. And there was really no right or wrong in this war; meaning that I don’t think there really was a side that was wrong or right, and I’m going to explain why further in this essay. I think both sides were wrong in things, but in the end, Germany was the one that suffered the most because they were being forced to pay billions dollars in the war debts, and let the French control a rich mine for well over 15 years. But before that Germany and the Britain’s were at war with each other. And Germany sent out a warning to everyone saying that every ship crossing the war zone line (which was the
The Treaty of Versailles was a formal peace treaty between the Word War I Allies and Germany. The leaders of Britain, France, Italy and the United States met in Paris in early 1919 to draft the treaty. President Woodrow Wilson presented his Fourteen Points, a series of measures intended to ensure future peace. The points included the formation of an international organization known as the League of Nation, which was adopted in the treaty. Representatives of each country signed the treaty in June 1919.
Treaty of Versailles' Role in Hitler's Rise to Power The Treaty of Versailles was important to Hitler's rise to power because, it was the cause of Germany's downfall. Hitler felt very strongly about the Treaty of Versailles and thought the terms were unfair towards Germany. Many German people also despised the treaty, and wanted something done about it. Hitler was there to turn to. He wanted to abolish the treaty and all of it terms.
It led to economic problems and a lack of food or jobs. These in turn
As a result of World War I, Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles, made to pay for the war, and had to disarm themselves, which directly led into World War II. Germany went down the tubes after they were forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles. There economy crashed and there money had just about no value. Many people that World War II was just a 20 year break from World War I. They were right because just about 20 years later World War II started. There are many things that could contribute to starting the war but these are the main point and the most recognized.

The Era of the World Wars was a terrible time in both American and European History. It started with World War I between the Allies Powers and the Central Powers. The major powers that made up the Allies were the Unites States, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and France. The major powers that made up the Central Powers were Germany and Austria-Hungary. The end of the First World War resulted in the Allies winning, after the four long years of battle. When the war ended, the Allies formed a group called the League of Nations. They were the ones who formally call off the war between the groups. In this organization, it had been decided that there was to be special punishments to Germany, who was named as
In December of 1918, The Allies of Europe met in Versailles to Sign possibly one of the most changing documents in history. The document they signed nearly turned Europe upside down, broke down and put up many new social barriers, and definitely made history. The Document that the allied forces all gathered to sign was known as the Treaty of Versailles. Initially, the treaty intended to keep peace between the nations, however, forcing Germany to sign the treaty ended up as one of the worst decisions anybody could have made. The forced signing created tensions between Germany and other countries, let Germany rise back up to Power, Created an optimal situation for Germany to wage war, and ultimately caused World War II, resulting in one of
The Versailles treaty was the peace settlement between Germany and the Allied powers that eventually ended world war one. Even Though it ended this war the treaty of Versailles was hated by many American and Germany. Germany made many threats to the Allied powers. The passing of the Treaty of Versailles resulted in unpopular backlash from both Germany and America.
The Treaty of Versailles was effective because it made territorial changes and had strict military terms for Germany. The Treaty of Versailles was between Germany and the allied powers, however Germany had no control of it. It assigned the War Guilt Clause to Germany stating they were the ones who caused the damage in World War 1. It also caused Germany to lose all its colonies and weapons. Germany had reparations, to pay the allied powers’ losses.
