Trade rumors are getting wild as the February trade deadline is only two months from now. One new rumored deal between three teams is being the hot topic of the news today. It involves the Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis as centerpieces of this supposed deal.
Melo, who've been the hot topic of numerous trade deals as of late, is said to be frustrated with the way the Knicks are performing this season. He also expressed his awkwardness about the 'triangle offense' that Knicks president Phil Jackson is currently imposing to the team. With this, some say that his frustration might lead him opting out to his contract.
With this insinuation, a proposed trade deal is being

Some are now excited to see how Porzingis-Towns combo works down low if ever this trade will push thru. Though they will miss the services of Wiggins, there is still Shabazz Muhammad who can take his place.
As for the Lakers, some are in opposition on giving up two promising players (Clarkson and Randle) for an aging player (Anthony), but having a high caliber player like Anthony is something that it is hard to pass up. It may affect their plans in the future but if the Lakers are looking for immediate impact on their current campaign this seems to be a viable option.
However, one roadblock is preventing this deal from happening. Both Clarkson and Deng just recently signed their contract with the Lakers which means both cannot be traded as it violates the NBA trade rules as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine.
The rumored deal between the Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks seems to be unworkable and absurd to other teams that are involved. This deal will be easily turned down by league official as it breaches the NBA trade
According to CBSSports, the Los Angeles Lakers could throw in a package of guard Jordan Clarkson, guard Lou Williams and forward Luol Deng as trade offers to the New York Knicks for Carmelo Anthony. This is not bad for a return for the Knicks acquiring one young and two veteran players that are solid contributors.
The upcoming NBA season is what the teams are looking forward to specially the Cleveland Cavaliers who took home the championship title and probably planning to aim for a back-to-back championship. In relation to this matter, Cleveland Cavaliers is on their run in improving their lineup which will possibly push them in “trading” players assumed to be involving Memphis Grizzlies’ Vince Carter.
Even though the New Orleans Pelicans signed Anthony Davis to 5 year / 145 million dollar extension this past off-season. The Pelicans should strongly consider trading Davis within the next 2-3 seasons because Davis has missed at least 15 games in each of his first three seasons due to a number of injuries, which include sprained right shoulder, sprained MCL and a fractured left hand. If Anthony Davis continues to sustain injuries that force him to exit or miss games he will not be able to lead the Pelicans to any real team success. Real team success for the Pelicans would be winning 50-55 regular season games and making it pass the first round. For the Pelicans to achieve this goal they would need Davis 75 to 80 games without missing big portions of games to attend to an injury. Since the Pelicans do not have another impact player on their roster that can help them tread water until Davis.
The Timberwolves get a plentiful return for separating with Love, the displeased face of their establishment. They obtained No. 1 general draft decision Andrew Wiggins and previous top pick Anthony Bennett from the Cavs and veteran forward Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers in the three-group bargain.
Ty Lawson: Lawson is another point guard the Kings have been linked to. Unlike Rondo, Lawson is under contract. To get Lawson the Kings would have to execute a trade with the Nuggets. Lawson has suggested over media that he wants out of Denver and would welcome playing in Sacramento. The Nuggets drafting Emmanuel Mudiay already gives them a replacement for Lawson. In addition Lawson was a favorite of Kings coach George Karl during their time together in Denver. A trade for Lawson would require a package from the Kings that might include Darren Collison and at least one of the two of Nik Stauskas and Ben
Even though he grew up in Charlotte, there’s virtually no chance he leaves the Dubs. He may even take less money to help free up cap space.
As the Boston Celtics kick it into high gear in order to assure they earn themselves a spot in the playoffs, the New York Knicks and President Phil Jackson are resolved to putting this past season behind them. With that decision comes the news that the Knicks are taking a serious look at the upcoming free agent market.
As NBA preseason games just got started, NBA Trade Rumors are not stopping and on its roll going to the NBA regular season that will happen just a couple of weeks from now. While some teams look satisfied with their current rosters, many teams are still trying to find a way to upgrade their line-up.
“Wait wait wait, he plays for Denver now?” The 2017 NBA off-season prompted many, many questions just like that last one, except Denver can be replaced by pretty much any team in the NBA. What the NBA has showed this past off-season is that no one is safe, so this goes out to all GM’s in the league: watch your players very, very carefully. Just when a team thinks they have a star player and maybe they can make a run at the title, they find themselves tanking for a better draft pick. From trades, free agents, and draft picks, this past offseason shows every NBA fan that no player is untouchable.
With the Sixers most likely not making the playoffs and also having the Lakers pick (outside of top 5), the Sixers are destined to add another piece of young talent to the mix of great players they have already. The 2017 NBA Draft looks like it will be a good one and Sixers fans are excited about adding another player to a team that is filled with great young talent.
Going to the Lakers would be for Blatt what he thought he was getting into when he took the Cavaliers’ job. He is a tremendous coach, and when given an opportunity to develop young players into his system, the rest of the league will see just how valuable Blatt can be to an NBA team.
Losing isn’t fun, and when you continue to disappoint, the aging veterans and players who are looking to get paid this summer become expendable. This is good because of what it could finally lead to. A full on rebuild in which this Knicks team is in desperate need of.
First up, Matthew Dellavedova. The point guard rose to stardom in the NBA finals and may be seeking a premium deal. The Cavs intend to make an offer to the restricted free agent, but it shouldn’t be more than what a backup is worth. Dellavedova has limited value and he proved that in the playoffs.
According to Lakers Nation, Los Angeles is among the three teams that are currently interested in trading for the 5-foot-11 floor general. The Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons are also intrigued even though the former NCAA champion North Carolina Tar Heel was arrested last week on DUI charges.
Bleacher Report’s Andrew Gould hinted that there must be something about the point guard that makes teams reluctant to trade for him. He hinted that it must be his “leadership qualities,” which is said to be not at par with the other elite floor generals in the NBA such as Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, and John Wall.
